Service team including the service manager are the biggest joke I've seen in my life and also pass ILLEGAL inspections. After being called out on the illegal inspection they passed, I was then threatened by service tec Andrew that he would no longer be putting my part in under warranty that needed repair. After already stating when I first sat with this punk that it was indeed covered under warranty. So since he was put on the hot seat when I asked for the name of the person whom passed my husband's inspection and shouldn't have, he got awfully offended (as any guilty person would) and said he wouldn't give the name (that I have now thanks to my husband's inspection papers) and also now he wasn't going to cover the job on my car under Toyotas warranty...didn't know we can pick and choose when to follow that. The whole funny part about this is someone is supposed to be his manager and not once did that person come to the customer (me) to discuss this after seeing and hearing there was clearly a problem going on. I have been an NYE Toyota customer for many years, even before I purchased three vehicles from them, and use them for service as well. In the past I have had great experience with NYE Toyota and Toyota Service. This time, I have had nothing but problems and have been given the run around with answers for my vehicle for the past month. The service department is unavailable every time I call, or no one will get back to me on the progress. I have been told a part will be there and installed on Wednesday, only to be told Friday "it will be Monday", then on Tuesday "it will be tomorrow". I'm waiting for NYE to do the work to tell my insurance if the vehicle is fixable or not. I have no other vehicle or way to get my large family anywhere without my vehicle. I made that very clear to NYE at the beginning of this whole process and they understood that. I am losing sleep for weeks to know if it will be fixed or not fixed. read more

I had a very positive experience buying my first vehicle from NYE Toyota last year. My salesman Dustin did a great job showing me the vehicles I requested as well as letting me take them out for test drives alone so I could get comfortable with the vehicle. After a second visit to the dealer, I was ready to make a deal. Dustin was great through this process and helped me find the financing and terms that I was comfortable with. My only knock during this time was when I came to take delivery of the car, some of the financing terms had been modified without my clearance, which I wasn't thrilled about. This took an extra 45 minutes to get changed which made the pickup longer than necessary. Service so far has been great - calling me to remind me of the free services that came with the purchase. I will continue using them for service calls as needed and plan on going back to shop them again when I need a new car. read more

My wife and I walked into Nye Toyota trying to decide between a Honda or Toyota. We were greeted and welcomed by Nelson Rodriguez. It was almost instantly evident that Nelson is my kind of salesperson. He is very attentive and focused on helping us but without the pressure and push to close a sale that I have experienced elsewhere. We were pleased to be working with someone who is genuinely interested and concerned with helping us. Nelson really made it an easy decision for us to purchase our new 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid in pearl white from Nye. My family keeps our vehicles for a long time and Nelson really made this experience fun and exciting for us. Great job Nelson exceeding our expectations and winning a customer from Honda. Brought my truck in for frame inspection. Before I was even seated I was informed that the service manager noticed my wipers were streaking. After receiving my truck back I noticed there was nothing wrong with the wipers. I let the service manager know there was no problem. She basically called me a liar and said she knew the wipers were worn and unsafe. I would think about getting a second opinion for any recommendations from this manager. read more

Superb service and friendliness. We were on a road trip in the region, and had problem with Toyota. So I called them for help. From the receptionist to the service manager to the service rep, they were all knowledgeable and friendly, getting me in without an appointment to figure out what the problem was. I got a car inspection earlier this month with NYE Toyota service. I had dropped my car the night prior and called in the morning to let them know I had a noise near my motor and asked if they would check it out. They assured me they would. When the service dept called me about my car, I again asked them to check out the noise. They assured they would. When they told me car was ready, they passed the car inspection and told me everything was good with my car and I was all set. I picked my car up around closing, so I didnt see anyone in thwir offices, and when I drove, I still heard the noise. Trusting they know what they were doing, I drove for a while like that. I then brought my car else where to find out my car wouldnt even pass inspection now, less than a month later and resulting in 2500.00 dollars in expenses. I have gone to NYE for all repairs for over 3 years and have been happy thus far. I had always dealt with Jeff Williams who was accomodating, and caring. Today, when I called, there is a new person who was in Jeff's position. (Amy or Lisa) The person whom I spoke to was unapologetic and responding to anything I was saying with, well this wasn't in the work order, so there is nothing I can do. I am a Supervisor, and would never speak to a customer the way she spoke to me. I then spoke with Ryan who was apologetic and admitted to their faults. However, nothing to assist or help me. Which is fine. This situation saddens me as I always enjoyed going to NYE and got to know the staff there. Unfortunately, this lost my business. read more

It's hard to give more than one star to a dealership that blatantly lies to it's customers. The Toyota Corolla LE is a great car! I just don't recommend buying one from Nye in Oneida, NY. I'll spare the details, just imagine the worst possible scenario of your grandma going to a dealership alone. I think you know what I mean. BE CAREFUL, no integrity here whatsoever. read more

It's interesting because I used to be a big fan of Nye. I had bought about a half dozen cars between my wife and I over about 12 year period. The sales became harder until I finally decided to pursue other options. The service was still decent, but even that has gone downhill. Below are two recurring issues that I've begun to experience at Nye. I've brought it to the attention of the customer service manager, so I'll update if I hear anything. 1. I had brought my car in for basic oil change and tire rotation and the service writer had come out to tell me that they recommend replacing the air filter (as per the Toyota inspection checklist they do). I laughed at first because I had just changed the engine air filter, until I realized that they aren't even doing he inspection. I took he service writer out to the car, popped the hood and showed him a snow shore air filter. After that, I simply discount the nonsense inspections that they do. 2. The last three or four times I've brought my car in to the dealership for an oil change, I come home to the car dripping oil into the driveway/garage. In fact, the first time it happened there was so much oil that I took the car back in because I wanted them to check the drain plug. It turned out that the techs just made a mess filling the oil reservoir and it was because there was oil dripping down the side of the engine block. Today, I returned home from Nye, again to find oil drips in the driveway, but this time on a freshly sealed driveway. Ridiculous..... read more

I wanted a spare key and fob for my Tacoma. Called on Friday and the parts guy told me the fob would be there on Saturday and transferred me to service for an app. Appt. was for Monday as they were booked for Saturday. Went Monday and spent 45 minutes only to be told that "we don't have the fob in stock"!!?? What???O.K. so come back tomorrow and we'll fix you up - it's a 1/2 hour job. 1 hour and 40 minutes later they tell me I'm all set - slight glitch with their computer not allowing them to program the fob. Whatever. I just got this truck and it was detailed to the point that you could eat off the floors. I open the door and the running board on the driver's side is filthy with grease and there are greasy fingerprints on the passenger door? I called the service mgr. over and asked what the deal was. Yes, I was mildly irritated. He "patted me" on the head (not literally but patronized me ) and told me to calm down and got a bottle of cleaner and a few paper towels and wiped the grease up. The fingerprints are still there despite him trying to remove them. Basically 2 trips and 3 hours of my time for a "half hour job" and a couple hundred bucks to boot for a basic key and 2 function fob. First and Last time I'll bring my vehicle there. read more

I will never return to NYE!!! The leather seat cover in my husband's truck had to be replaced, it took them 2 attempts to fix that correctly, then the sensors started to act up, he made an appointment to fix the sensor and they fixed the wrong sensor. We had to make another appointment and travel the 45 minutes again 2 weeks later when they had the correct sensor. At that time, he also had them do an oil change, they never replaced the cap so oil sprayed all over the engine of his $50k Tundra 1794 Edition. Our last straw was last weekend when we brought my 4runner Limited Edition in to have undercoating, paint protection, interior protection, the whole works. Dropped it off first thing Friday morning, told them we would pick it up Saturday morning. We get there Saturday morning and the truck is not done. All they did was spray the undercoat. The finance manager, Todd Crandall, had called us on Thursday before we dropped it off so we could pay BEFORE the service was completed as he would not be there on Friday when my appointment was so we paid. We left my car there AGAIN Saturday to have them finish the job we had ALREADY PAID FOR. Come back on Monday and it still was not done. We had to wait at least a half hour for them to finish and they only completed half of the work, if that. The work that was done was half assed. When they brought my truck over from the detail shop, they had 3 guys come along as if to try to intimidate my husband. I am so thankful I had him with me when I picked up my truck otherwise I never would have even known any different. I would have thought the whole job was done on Saturday and left, not questioning anything. I really felt like I was being taken advantage of because I'm a woman in a dealership! The service we received was inexcusable and rude! Hopefully one of the other Toyota dealerships in my area can do a better job than NYE because I will never go back!!! read more

I love NYE Toyota. They are always courteous and knowledgeable. I actually travel about 40 minutes out of my way to come here. There are at least 5 various car dealerships about 5 minutes from my home. I went once to the Toyota dealership but never felt comfortable there. I'll stay with NYE read more
