Was in town for a few days and ended up here everyday to get some work done. I loved this place! It was so busy every single day! Lots of good spots to work from and a comfortable, inviting environment. The coffee was top notch. I tried the cold brew one day but ended up getting the Northshore latte multiple times. I love that they serve it in an actual mug if you're going to be there. The quiche was good but the almond croissant was TOP TIER!! Good little spot!

Amazing service and super delicious Americano & coffee with steamed milk to go with our doughnuts from A Bakers Wife ! Great space to relax & chat a bit.

Loved getting some work done at this cafe! Big open space, lots of seating, and my drink was delicious. The baristas helped me decide what to get and I'm glad I settled on the North Shore Latte.

VIBE This feels like the buzzing work/community hub of the neighborhood - at 9am, just about every seat was filled with a warm body and a laptop, clocked in and caffeinated, ready for a full-day's remote work. The space itself is spacious, and with lots of merch to browse. SERVICE & COFFEE Meanwhile back at the counter, after getting input from the (friendly) barista I had a fantastic Papua New Guinea pour-over that was chocolately, vibrant, fruity, and complex. Halfway thru my cup, I was inspired to get up from my stool and buy a bag of the beans to bring home with me to CA. Back in CA and halfway through said beans, I went online and ordered another bag. FOOD Wish they had more hot food breakfast options - they did have a variety of pastries and also a breakfast burrito, but we would have loved a more extensive hot menu.

What a beautiful space! So much room to connect with friends over coffee and a pastry. I enjoyed a pour over and then a chai latte. The pour over was exquisite, the chai was fine. I did not have a pastry but my friends did and enjoyed them. I wish we had a coffee shop this spacious with beautiful decor in my neighborhood

Just had to add that I really love the seasonal Bieberkopf Cortado! Who would have thought espresso, caraway, and grapefruit would be such a good combination.

This was my first time at Northern Coffeeworks. My friend and I decided to come here to co-work. This place is perfect for it. Ample seating, clean, and plenty of plugs. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was great! The baristas were friendly and made good coffee. Thank you Northern Coffeeworks for a comfortable place to work and get out of the house during the winter. And for an excellent cup of coffee :)

We came for the fruit and grain pastries, and stayed for the caffeinated beverages! Northern Coffeeworks is a perfect spot to stop before or after the Mill City Farmer's Market!! For the fruit and grain pop tarts, hand pies, etc. be sure to check out their Instagram for what to expect as it changes daily/weekly!! I have never had anything I wouldn't recommend, but the bacon, cheddar, and cream cheese hand pie was absolutely incredible, and the pop tarts are divine if you have a sweet tooth!! I also enjoyed my matcha latte with my pastries! Their coffee specials are unique and tempting, too. The service was great, and the seating areas are very pleasing with brick and live edge wood throughout. It is a great spot if you need a change of scenery while working or studying!

This shop invites us in just by the ambiance inside and out. The brewed medium roast is Columbian with hints of citrus according to the barista. The shop is compact and they make wise use of the space but have limited seating, we'll call it cozy. There is a menu and some grab to munch pastries, banana bread Thursdays I've been told. Refreshing and unique! I also couldn't pass up their special--a Churro Cold Brew--which was just as delicious as it sounds. While I was at the counter, I noticed they had a Pop-Tart style pastry from a local baker, so I gave that a whirl too. It was super tasty and a nice touch to see them supporting other small businesses. Overall, everything I tried was really flavorful and enjoyable. That said, it's definitely on the pricier side. The staff was very friendly and easy to chat with, which added to the positive experience. Next time, I'll probably limit myself to just one or two items, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood to treat myself.

The atmosphere of the shop makes you want to chill out for a while. The staff were very friendly and curates the music with vinyls. In the front the garage door was open. The miso cortado was delicious and really stood out, and they have a great variety of specialty drinks. The service was also extremely kind and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. That said, the space didn't quite live up to the hype. The location felt a little unfinished. Minimal decor, unfinished flooring, and no truly cozy seating made it feel less like a place you'd want to settle into for a while. While they encourage people to linger and don't offer Wi-Fi (which I respect), the ambiance doesn't quite support that intention. It felt more like a quick in-and-out stop, even though that doesn't seem to be their goal. The atmosphere was chill, with vinyl records playing in the background, which was a nice touch. I just wish the overall design and seating matched that relaxed, stay-awhile vibe. Great coffee and kind staff, but the space itself didn't fully align with the experience I was hoping for.

We came around 1pm on a weekday and there was a bit of a wait as it was only one person making drinks and serving customers. They have an extensive menu with so many specialty drinks. It was a bit of decision fatigue before finally landing on our order. I tried the bananarama chai and my friend had their lychee matcha. The matcha almost tasted completely fruity with no actual matcha taste, to the point where it came off more like a smoothie or juice than a caffeinated drink. My chai wasn't bad, but I didn't get much of the banana flavor. The space itself has a few tables and there is free WiFi as well.
