Only after 6 short years, in August of 2025, Storm passed away from his lifelong battle with seizures due to being born with hydrocephalus and a right forebrain lesion. At the time of his death, he was taking 26 pills daily to stay alive. When we got Storm, we were told nothing about his health complications. We were also told by neurologists across the state of Michigan that he would be lucky to make it to 3 years old. Thanks to our extensive care and myself quitting my full-time job to care for his needs, Storm lived to 6 years old. While most malamutes live to be 10-12 years old, we consider ourselves lucky to have known and loved such a beautiful soul for as short of a time as we did. DO NOT BUY PUPPY WITH THEM! They sold me a puppy with fungus on his right eye (attached picture on his first day at my home) and almost 1 year later updated pictures of his entire face! I contacted them right the same week. They refuse to help right away treating me really bad. and also their nasty emails to me saying Im all by myself and I lost my 'guarantee' due to be talking to them about my puppy issues and asking them to help me pay the vet bill ($200). They took thousands from me and sold me the puppy little older 4 months with fungus and without the rabbies vaccine (mandatory by law). Their property was filthy dirty I can't believe they are allowed by the state to breed animals. It's really concerning. Im doing this review for you is as much as me you had a dream to adopt a beautiful healthy samoyed puppy. I don't want you pass through what I have passed so far with thousands spend in vet, medication and so much stress trying to get him better. I waited a little while before I gave my review of the Kool's :) My BEAUTIFUL white malamute, Kaiser Roll, is a sweet, loving, extremely intelligent and healthy dog. He is a whopper (we got one of the huge ones) and we can hear him a mile away when he gallops during a case of the zoomies. He seems to know when he is funny and keeps us endlessly entertained. He has trained us very, very well... For those with other dogs, Kaiser Roll immediately bonded with our 7-year-old miniature dachshund, and passively enjoyed it when she treated him like an enormous puppy. Now they are inseparable and chase each other all over the place. Go ahead and picture that in your head and try not to laugh... He also bonded with each and every member of our family. Some say Malamutes aren't very affectionate, to which I say nonsense. He is very affectionate. Malamutes aren't for everyone and only an experienced family should get one, but Kaiser Roll is perfect for us. We have purchased two pups from the Kool family - one husky and one malamute/husky mix. Before I even tell you about the Kool family, I want to tell you about the addition to our own family. It's been nothing but a pleasure adding these two wonderful pups to our lives, and I wouldn't have it any other way. They are both intelligent and beautiful dogs, and have earned a place in our hearts. It's also worth noting that, not only do they get along with our cats, they seem to love them. It's always a fun sight to watch a 90 pound malamute grooming a cat in an almost motherly way. When we adopted them (a few years apart), they were both well-cared for, bathed, groomed and vaccinated. Every step of the process was aboveboard; they showed us the housing for the dogs, and even allowed us to meet the parents. All of our dealings with the Kool family were pleasant. They were always helpful and kind, and unlike many who end up in this sort of job, they really care about both the dogs they watch over and the customers they have. I recently got a female samoyed puppy from the kools .. after reading some of these reviews i was skeptical to be honest. But pat replied to all of my emails answering all of my questions.. they arranged for me to come get my puppy super last minute, and i still recieved all of her paper work, she wasnt dirty, and her temperment is decent. My only complaint is that they admitted they had a tad of an overlap of dogs at the moment so my puppy does have some resource gaurding issues that arent moderate, it is a little more than whats typical, however that could happen with any puppy, any where, and is a pretty easy fix .. the kool family was really nice and they honestly seem like they are all working together to take care of the dogs. I am very thankful to them for my sammy. I absolutely adore her!!! read more

But after going through the process, I'm very happy with my new family member. (I have an AKC samoyed.) I got her in December of last year and she's one of the smartest dogs I've ever seen! We purchased our Alaskan Malamute puppy from Pat Kool back in November 2017. Pat was wonderful and answered all my questions and concerns. He was shipped to us at 9 weeks old and we had him checked by our local vet the following weekend and he was in perfect health as expected. He was shipped to us with instructions for his vaccination schedule and additional de-worming medicines. So far, Blizzard appears to be very smart and took to potty training very fast. I have a 9 year old boy from the Kools.. He's a gem. I do, however, have huge misgivings about this breeder. First, they seem a little odd. I wanted to meet the parents of my pup and was denied. Second, when I picked my puppy up, his ears were down....not as shown in the photo. The kid that gave him to me said it would correct itself. It did. Later, I noticed they had retired his father because of too many "down" ears offsprings. My puppy was filthy when I picked him up. I expect the conditions they keep the dogs is not the best (re:why I was denied access to view/meet the parents). When I took my pup to my local vet, he was suspicious of the papers I had been given about vaccinations. We did it all over just to be sure. In the end, I feel I was lucky considering other reviews I've read on line about Kool (They have changed the name of the company to have less bad press!). I would never get a dog from them again nor would I recommend them. read more

I bought my malamute from the Kool family 12 years ago, and Tiger is smart, demanding, hansom , strong, and impatient and half rooster(6am to 6:45 is his first calling. At first I thought he was nuts, but he was trying to take over the house. It won"t happen. The dog is smart, loving and my best friend. Will he run away ,you bet!!!!!; will he dig, you bet!!!, are they aggressive to other dogs, you bet!!!; and at twelve years old, he's in better health than I am. We had the most wonderful dog ever - and we've had many malamutes over the years. We got him at 10 months old in Utah (the original owner purchased him from Northern Glories and had him shipped to Utah) probably wanted more of a show dog and not prepared to put the time and love in. We now live in Canada and because we SO missed our beloved Archer, I went on-line to their site. They had a 4 year old male listed for sale - I was thrilled! After lots of back and forth, my husband and son went on a 5 day trip across the country to get him. He was put 'up for sale' because he was supposed to be a stud, but wasn't "good at it'. He had spent all of his 4 years in an outdoor enclosed pen entirely by himself. He is the sweetest boy ever, but SO damaged by his upbringing that 2 years later we still haven't heard him say ONE thing, bark, talk, growl. We love dogs but I can't forgive this family for the way they treat their 'disposable' animals. I think this family business is just that - a business......... and I do not recommend supporting them.... EVER! read more
