I had a few previous settings from my wedding rings with me and yet another split shank. Yelp has definitely made me more aware of my local businesses, so I wanted to stop in and see what this place was all about. I went in thinking I'd just window shop and laugh at how expensive everything was, but that wasn't the case at all! Yes, there was more expensive jewelry in some cases, some watches, but there was also plenty of affordable jewelry available as well. The store looked immaculate! It was bright, clean, nothing looked out of place and it even had that new store scent. I ended up buying a pair of silver earrings (for under $30) that were made by a local artist. Now I've shopped at these types of stores in the past (think Cape Cod, the Berkshires, North Hampton...) and this one definitely had the most reasonable prices. My mom actually picked up three bracelets in the Berkshires, and they had the same ones here for $12 less, each! She wasn't happy to feel she got ripped off on her last vacation up there. I was really just looking around and wasn't even going to ask for any prices in cases, because all the tags were flipped over so I figured things would be outrageous, but I'm very glad I asked for the price of the one pair of earrings I ended up buying. I've worn them several times and love them. I'll definitely drop in again when I'm in the area.

I brought in a pair of pearls to be restrung with a new clasp. The average price to do this is around $75 and I was quoted that the clasp for Sterling silver would be about $30. The sales girl came back and quoted me $300 to restrain a choker size set of pearls. The girl wasn't the problem. The problem was the man with the black nail polish with the absolutely terrible attitude. When I asked about the price because let's face it that's 173% markup from a normal cost of restringing pearls the attitude that he gave me as he unclad my string of pearls and shoved them back at me was "Then go elsewhere. So that is where I know that this is a markup because if that were the cost then he would not have had an attitude but he had an attitude because he was covering for a poor business practice of charging the customer that much money for a markup.. I do also find it really odd to treat customers so badly when there is literally only one other customer in your store and at least 4 counter people working.
