We ordered a Pepperoni, cheddar, and "Graziano's" sausage pizza tonight as well as cheese breadsticks. The sausage on the pizza was obviously regular/breakfast sausage. I called to speak with a manager, who asked what it looked like and said Graziano's is the only sausage they have. I said it didn't matter what it looks like, because it tastes like breakfast sausage. After getting nowhere, I became frustrated and hung up. It was regular, breakfast sausage on the pizza. It is he first time I have ordered although I didn't like that it used a third party ordering system and I did not get a notification that my order was placed so I wasn't even sure if my pizza would be ready. The pizza breading was good, it's on the medium side not too thick or too thing, their tasty crust does make a difference. During our stay in Des Moines we got a coupon for a medium pizza, breadsticks, and 2 drinks for only $15.99!! You can't beat it. We loved it so much that we ordered to 2 nights in a row. The breadsticks were seriously so delicious and buttery! They included marinara, ranch, nacho cheese, and garlic butter. They even brought us plates and napkins with the delivery. As I'm typing this my mouth is watering. My husband and I are talking about how bummed we are there isn't a Northern Lights in Denver haha. I'm truly shocked by all of the bad reviews. Are usually love this pizza but for whatever reason, last night was not a good night for northern lights pizza. First off I have to explain that I love cheese. Most of my family is from Wisconsin, including my mom and dad, and I'm guessing that's where it stems from but I really really really love cheese. That being said, I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza with extra cheese but when I got it, there was anything but extra cheese. The pizza still tasted fine but I was really disappointed by the lack of cheese on it. The pizza was delivered pretty darn quick, which I really appreciated it due to the fact that I might've been overserved earlier . I ordered a medium double pepperoni pizza for almost $15. I thought there would be more pepperoni slices on the pizza, kind of like the pepperoni lovers pizza at Pizza Hut where the pepperoni are overlapping one another, but the amount on it seemed normal. There were 2 layers of cheese so that was good since it was pretty tasty. The crust was alright, not too hard or thick, but dipping it in the complimentary garlic butter enhanced it alot. I think for almost $15 it was a little too much or it should have been a large sized pizza for that price. Another negative thing is that the toppings along with the cheese would fall off after taking the first bite. So that didn't make the pizza experience a positive one since it would just be crust and sauce. Also when I got there the lady in front of the very tall counter either didn't notice me or was too busy looking at her receipts. She was short so I barely saw her too. But when the guy in the back noticed she was helping me he called her out on it. But the thing is she didn't acknowledge me until like 20 seconds later. So that wasn't a very good experience. The delivery driver helped himself to my bank account funds by adding a 7.00 tip to the order. A huge slap in the face being that a cash tip was given at time of delivery. Getting my money refunded has been a joke I have been forced to jump through hoop after hoop and as of this point still do not have a refund issued. To make things worse the delivery took an extremely long time and our food was room temperature at best upon arrival. Pizza was very good. We had a large group and ordered 7 pizzas and all of them came piping hot and everyone enjoyed them. The cheese was excellent because it has a ton of cheese on it. I would compare this pizza to Papa Johns pizza but with slightly better dough. They offer flavor crusts like Dominos. I would put this in chain pizza category, but over priced. NEVER order from Northern Lights! The "franchise owner" who delivered the pizza was RUDE and used the F word in front of Alexa and Aislynn! The CEO, Terry Peterson, said that the person is from another country and doesn't understand the computers or culture. I explained that customer service should be something that he knows since he has been a franchise owner since 2000! Terry basically argued with me and justified the person being rude, and said that he has been working with this owner. Also said he believed the owner over me... he apparently called Terry before I got ahold of him. Imagine that! Well... that is BS and not how things work, no matter WHAT country you are from!! My wife loves the Taco Pizza. She has tried it several places, but Northern Lights' is the best. I am an Alfredo Chicken fan, although I hold the cheddar cheese. Good gluten free pizza! I was in town overnight, travelling, and was looking for hearty gluten free food. I was delighted to find they had gluten free pizza, which even came with my own little pizza cutter to prevent cross contamination. I'm going to give a mixed review because I've had many many good experiences with northern lights, but also one that was kind of a disaster as well. Northern lights has delicious pizza and I love their "scooby snacks" which are kind of like a calzone but cut into strips to share! All of their ingredients seem very fresh and are tasty. The breadsticks are way to buttery/greasy for me, but many people seem to like them. They have always delivered in a timely manner. Everything tastes good every time. Okay so that's my 4 star review. Now for my disaster. I had a group of people at my house and needed to order 6-7 pizzas. Well, delivery was going to take a long time so a couple people volunteered to pick them up. They came home with one entire less pizza pie that I paid for, and the only custom pizza I had was done wrong- wrong toppings etc. I was ticked because it was $120 order. AND the people that went to pick them up took over an hour and said they STARTED making our order upon their arrival even though we timed it out appropriately. So I call back and the guy said that yeah, one of the pizzas was sitting there still. Well, took them 45 more minutes to bring a plain cheese pizza and correct custom order- and I had to call back to make sure they didn't forget. And by then, part of the group had left because they took so long our meeting was over...so I was left with a cheese pizza that I needed an hour earlier, and finally got to eat my custom pizza I ordered for myself. The whole ordeal from order to finish took 2 hours and 20 minutes which is unacceptable. It left me bitter. So my advice is only get northern lights when it's just a standard order of a pizza or two and breadsticks/Scooby snacks. I cannot recommend them for anything complicated or for a large group.
