4/20 - the day my son was born
    Jessica R.

It's taken me 4 months to decide to write this review. Let me preface this by saying that the care I received up until my last appointment was good, hence the 2 stars. I started getting adjusted when i was 28 weeks pregnant - I had horrible sciatic pain and i asked my OB if chiropractic care would be ok. She said yes so I scheduled an appt with Kimberly Nelson, who specializes in prenatal adjustment. I went to her office to be adjusted once a week. I was 38 weeks pregnant and went for my usual adjustment. I was laying face down on the table (something i had done many times before) and let her know that I was feeling dizzy and needed to sit up. I swung my legs to the side of the table to sit up and she continued the adjustment. 30 seconds later I lost consciousness and fell forward, landing face first on the floor. I immediately came to and sat up. I had no idea what had happened and I was initially embarrassed. I had hit my head pretty hard and had a massive rug burn on my forehead. Dr. Nelson asked me if I was ok and said she was gonna get me an apple and a bandaid. She asked if I had eaten and I said no but that I hadn't been hungry and was gonna eat when I got home. It was 9:30 am and I had not had a huge morning appetite. I had a few bites of the apple (still sitting on the floor) and she applied a bandaid to my forehead. I had not seen the damage to my face, I just knew it hurt. She then finished the adjustment on the floor, asked me if i was ok, told me she'd see me next week and exited the room - 10 minutes after I passed out. I was still sitting on the floor. I got up by myself, went to the front desk, paid and left the office. I think the receptionist asked me what happened and I told her I passed out and fell. I left the office, got in my car and started driving home. I immediately called my boyfriend and told him what happened and then called my OBs office. They told me to immediately go to L&D but that I should not drive myself. My boyfriend left work and took me to the hospital where I spent the next 5 hours as they made sure my baby and I were ok. They applied ice to my face and my leg. I had a huge bruise on my knee and I wasnt sure how I got it or what I had hit it on. I was discharged from L&D and told to go home and rest and to call if anything changed with my dizziness or if I wasnt feeling better. I went into labor and had to have a c-section 24 hours later. I am still in disbelief that, after losing consciousness in her office at 38 weeks pregnant, my chiropractor let me drive home, didn't call 911 and didnt call my emergency contact. She had no idea why I passed out, the extent of my injuries from falling or if I had hit my abdomen. My face had massive rug burn and my nose was swollen. I realize it was not her fault that I passed out but her response (or lack of response) to the situation was absurd. I am so lucky because this situation could have turned out so much worse. Thank God my baby boy was born perfectly healthy. This pic was taken on 4/20, injury happened on 4/18. **update to response** I don't feel like I had a negative experience - I HAD a negative experience. That's not a matter of opinion. Calling to see how I was the next day does not change the fact that I wasnt given proper care when the incident occurred. I had positive experiences from this place until this incident. Telling me you are sorry that I feel like I had a negative experience is not a true apology at all.

I love this place. When I walked in I was using a cane. When I left I had no need for it. Thanks Caleb!

I've heard they accept a variety of insurances. I have Aetna and my plan allows for up to 20 chiropractic visits a year with a $50 copay each visit.

Setting up appointments are a hit or miss, sometimes you'll get someone who is inhospitable or indifferent, other times you'll get the friendliest, most helpful person. It really is just crapshoot. BUT once you are at the center, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. During this recent visit, the young lady at the front reception room was very courteous and professional. The mammogram technician I encountered during this visit, Megan, was a consummate professional, she was very clinical and gave precise, easy instructions to follow. I've always had a positive experience at Reno Diagnostic Centers and I will more than likely continue using their services in the future.

Not good. After I…read morewent through so much time and trouble to even GET an appointment, and had a bunch of false information tossed at me while trying to get an appointment, Reno Diagnostic Centers violated Federal law regarding we Veterans when it directly billed me. To add further insult to injury to me, Reno Diagnostic Centers illegally directly billed me twice. When I call them, who answered won't even give me their name. The fact that Reno Diagnostic Centers FAILS to respond to negative Yelp reviews here screams to the public that they don't care one bit what the public thinks of it. Reno Diagnostic Centers violates Federal law regarding we Veterans and it's contracts with Tri-West. As a Veteran, ALL my health care coverage is with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA very rarely sends me outside the VA for my healthcare. VA does that through a third-party service known as Tri-West. VA and Tri-West have a contract. Reno Diagnostic Centers entered into contract with Tri-West to provide me healthcare. Per Federal law, I have NO contract with Tri-West or Reno Diagnostic Centers. Again, per Federal law regarding we Veterans, I the Veteran have NO contract with Reno Diagnostic Centers. Federal law PROHIBITS outside VA healthcare providers such as Reno Diagnostic Centers who have Tri-West contracts from directly billing me or any Veteran or demanding any financial information of any sort from me, including but not limited to, Social Security number, or address, from Veterans. The only item outside VA healthcare providers such as Reno Diagnostic Centers who have Tri-West contracts can legally obtain from me, the Veteran is a copy of my, the Veterans VA healthcare id. Yet, Reno Diagnostic Centers routinely violates Federal law by directly billing me and other Veterans and illegally demanding financial information, including but not limited to, my the Veteran's Social Security numbers, my the Veteran's Medicare or Medicaid cards and my the Veteran's address, from not only me, but also other Veterans. When I called Reno Diagnostic Centers, what a LOT of work that was to get through, then no name given, and had a bunch of false information tossed at me, so I had to escalate to a supervisor. A supervisor, again no name to give, told me they know the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law but had no explanation for why they keep breaking the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law. It was "oh, well to bad so sad nothing we can do" from them. Reno Diagnostic Centers word is no good, they are UNPROFESSIONAL and they screw-over me as a Veteran. Reno Diagnostic Centers is NOT a Veteran-friendly business AND clearly contributes to why so many Veterans succumb to suicide at almost three times the rate of non-Veterans. P.S. Don't message me because in spite of my several complaints to yelp, for years now I am unable to open up any messages in yelp to me :-(

At the back I was asked to put my bag and coat on a hanger and had to verify my information. Then I was given a cup and directed to the bathroom for the sample. Without flushing, I brought out the sample, then had to date and initial it, sign and I was done. The whole process took no more than 8 minutes. Overall, the wait was a little longer than expected considering there was only one other customer in front of me. Staff were very efficient and nice though.

One rang the bell and the lady just kept telling them to use the kiosk, and when they said they were trying she kept saying use the kiosk, use the kiosk, use the kiosk. The person gave up and left. The second person needed help and after watching that, I helped. I was able to help them get their license scanned and checked in. This person was not a English first language, the lack of help was appalling to me. Then the billing. I have visited several times and not showing payments posted. I called and asked for a statement of account. Any provider should be able to provide this, it is a list of services and payments. I was told I would be sent the statement, what I received was individual copies of bills. I noticed a payment was not posted, I called back and the person, says, "there is another bill". (Why do I not have it, I thought) I said I requested a full statement of my account. She said, "we don't do that, we can only send copies of individual bills" so I asked again to have a copy of every single bill sent so I can reconcile to make sure my payments are posted. I am now waiting for that, but I will not use Quest ever again. It is ridiculous that they can't print one statement for me with everything and they way they treated people in person was degrading. Go elsewhere if you can.
