The crew that came every day were consistent with their timing, courteous, and willing to take input. We were starting with a vague diagram of what we wanted, so there were many details to finalize during the process, and they made sure to discuss each of those with us. Nick's bid was less detailed as to what would be included than other bids, so we had started out a little bit uncomfortable, but everything that we'd discussed and expected was included in the price, including adding in trenching to set up for electricity and gas lines that the other companies wanted to charge a lot for. Several months after the job was done, Nick came by to do a wellness check on the yard, including making sure that the irrigation was working properly.  He also had some of the crew come by for a few touch up items. We highly recommend Vizcay Landscaping and would definitely hire them again in the future!

I really wanted large concrete steps for a walkway and wanted to keep a little bit of green so they installed a patch of artificial turf for me and everything turned out great!! Nick and his crew went above and beyond by replacing the existing river rocks by the garden hose with the new gray rocks. This was not originally included in the quote and I didn't think twice about it but Nick suggested replacing them so the rocks would all match. Awesome customer service!! The owner, Lee, answered and I explained my situation. He scheduled a visit the following Tuesday morning to check it out and he said his son, Jason, would be the tech as he was the expert. Jason arrived as expected, surveyed the issues and discovered a leak in the valves. Turns out the neighbor's tree root had infiltrated the pipes and caused a crack. He dug out around the valves, determined the repair and had everything done within 2 hours! He ran through the entire system to make sure all was well and made sure everything was back to normal and clean despite the fact he was a muddy mess. In fact, due to the high demand for landscapers and low supplies available for concrete at the time (Fall 2020-Summer 2021 at least), there was a small delay in getting my jobs done. However, the owner communicated when work would start and be completed and communicated if the timeline would change. The owner also returns calls and emails in a timely manner. He was able to put my vision together and gave us ideas/recommendations what we can do to our backyard. He's easy to communicate with, and kept us updated on the work. We bought a house in a new developed area, so it was a blank slate to start on. I had concrete, real grass, and a retaining wall placed. After all was done, the team cleaned up very well. My husband and I were looking for a licensed and insured contractor and charge at a reasonable price. We've met with other licensed contractors and charged $10k more, and for the same design I envisioned. My husband did his own research on how much items would cost and Zoe Landscaping didn't seem to charge too much or too little. Don't be fooled by contractors who say they are licensed but don't give a licensed number and have a cheaper price. We think his charge was reasonable and affordable. As far as the time the backyard being done, we were estimated that the backyard would be done in about 2 weeks. It took about 4 weeks, but that was because we had that one week of rain. Which is something we can't control. I felt bad, but they had to work on Thanksgiving. Overall, will hire again, and recommend to others. Thank you and great job!

I had Justin quote on replacing two saplings with a…read moredwarf blood orange and a dwarf fuji apple, sealing the fences, and taking my small narrow side yard and laying in a walkway for garbage can access with a narrow planting bed for future passion fruit vines. Justin made some suggestions, and his crew executed perfectly We went with concrete for easier and safer access, benderboard instead of blocks because of the narrow yard. Simple, cleanly done, bed is edged to contain the soil, trees are well seated and fertilized, irrigation updated for the new plantings, weed cloth under the gravel. Concrete has a nice brushed finish for traction in the wet, tree is staked, can't wait to see them bloom. It's the nice little details that make a quality job. Every day the site was cleaned as if they hadn't been there, they worked quickly and carefully even in the narrow areas. I'm very happy with the job and execution, and highly recommend them.

TLDR; My project suffered from poor planning, inadequate oversight, and unacceptable workmanship. I…read morewould advise others -- especially first-time homeowners -- to proceed with caution and consider other contractors. It took me over a year to emotionally recover from the trauma of working with this business as a first major renovation project. --- Long story below As a first major home improvement project (front yard and driveway remodel), I hired a separate professional designer, had 3D renderings made, selected materials in advance, and clearly communicated the desired aesthetic and expected quality to all bidding contractors. Justin's Professional Landscaping had strong early reviews and was responsive at first. I agreed to a contract requiring over 25% upfront payment (which I now regret). Key issues I experienced: - Repeated requests for payment before corresponding work was completed - An uncomfortable incident where the foreman (Justin's father) came to my home on an off-day claiming he hadn't been paid, despite my having already paid Justin. - Poor daily cleanup, resulting in my HOA issuing a notice - Minimal on-site supervision by Justin - Workmanship issues (photos available), including: A unleveled wall that started leaning forward shortly after installation, uneven capstones and a section creating a tripping hazard, poorly graded and uneven pavers, joint sand not installed promptly, and walkway that was not correctly aligned with my front door. By the time these issues surfaced, I had paid about 90% of the project cost, yet the work was incomplete and did not meet reasonable expectations. A revised scope was attempted for the wall only (against my better judgment), but supervision and execution problems continued. After observing additional mistakes, poor practices and lack of control over the crew, I terminated the contract.
