Do not bother to contact them because you will not receive any service. I chose them because they had accessible website that did not abuse me like other websites. We are ASD family. I had my ASD spouse who can communicate via telephone (I cannot) call them and also fill in their website request form. That was in beginning of July. It is now August 15th. We still did not even get an appointment date. I have mobility impairment and my spouse has mobility limitation and because of that we cannot clean gutters ourselves. Meanwhile because of clogged gutters water has been pouring to the foundation and basement has been flooded all these days. I live in the basement because it is dark, quiet, and cold and I have sensory sensitivity to light, noise, and heat. Because of floods black mold has been growing in the basement and I have been exposed to it. Today I woke up from suffocating to death and found out that all my airways are blocked and I am bleeding from my mouth and my nose. I have asthma and exposure to black mold really did do its thing. At their request, we had already rescheduled another contractor as they can't have others on the property during service. At the time that I reached out to them I was having issues accessing their website (now working as of last week). Not sure if those initial issues were my computer or on their end. So I called and left a message and received a call back the following day. I explained to the person on the phone I couldn't get onto their website so she asked a few questions about my house etc. And gave me an estimate and told me when she could schedule. Luckily something opened up sooner than the previous date range so I said yes please come sooner. Since it had been a while since my gutters were cleaned and we've seen some overflow with the heavy rains. They came I happened to be home and they apparently cleared a good amount of debris, since I saw one of the crew carrying a big trash bag with a big wad of stuff at the bottom. You don't even have to be home, just leave the gate open if you have a fenced yard so they can clean the back gutters. Both of our initial appointments were missed for reasons independent of weather. I asked for assistance with a gutter that needs to be cleaned and perhaps re-pitched. Yes, up a high ladder. Maybe an hour on site at the most. I was promised "maybe someone would contact me with an arrival window" more that 2 weeks away. If you do not need a roof, full replacement, or new gutter install you may not hear from these people. The lady that called had no idea what a gutter was. After 10 minutes or so said she was trying to decide if they knew how to clean gutters. Really odd. Service was fine but I was quite frustrated by the lack of communication from this company. For one, the quotes listed online were around $65 for my housing type. However, when I received my bill it was $85. When I asked the cause for such a discrepancy, they simply stated "it must've been in extra poor condition," meanwhile from another representative, they mentioned "the people who serviced your house noted that the gutters were in 'good condition.'" I would be fine with paying the $20 extra had they called and provided consult, but the lack of transparency makes me distrustful of employing their service again. Furthermore, they are near impossible, even avoidant, to reach on the phone. -- Even my several voicemails to call me back directly over the phone, were dismissed over email. Worse, I have little proof of visitation, no guidance of where the "orange tag" was left around my house, -- which they recently implemented over their "invoice left at your front door." NOVA Gutters - you all can do better. Establish trust with your customer base by being communicative and transparent. read more

I called/emailed a few different places for gutter cleaning and gutter guard installation. NoVa Gutter had the best price. Only downside is you have to fit in their schedule, and in my case, it was one month wait until they serviced my area. The scheduling was done over email and I paid through their system using credit card after they finished the work. You don't have to be present at the time of the service but I was home that day. Two guys came around 3pm and finished the work in about 30 minutes. They also cleaned up afterwards which was nice. My home has about 50 ft of gutter. They cleaned out clogged gutter for less than $100 and installed steel gutter guard I purchased from Lowe's at $2/ft rate. Gutter guard itself was about $150 so the total price of gutter guard was around $5/ft. This is significantly cheaper than having a gutter guard company (something helmet, leaf...) install some plastic gutter guard they designed. Those companies quoted me $28-$43/ft. Their price and advertisement is borderline scam. No gutter guard will prevent gutter clog completely. It's a matter of frequency. All in all, I'm very satisfied with NoVa Gutter and will use them again for gutter cleaning next time. read more

Customer service was rude. After a month of waiting for our appointment, it didn't seem like anyone showed up. However they had and they determined that our home was a large home; even though EVERY other gutter company, home remodeling companies, Zillow, and our realtor had told us our home was a single family. They emailed me saying that now the price would be $50-$60 more and claimed that they would be able to come back the next week. We responded on the same day saying the new price would be fine and that we wanted to schedule for the next week, as soon as possible. They responded that the next available date would have been the next Monday. We responded that day with "yes, please proceed with that date" and I voiced that I was "a bit disappointed" with the price change and that it hadn't been done and over with. As the appointment date came and went, no one showed up. This was VERY disappointing because my fiancée had to stay home from work due to me traveling. I received an email about 2 weeks after our appointment date saying that my email had gone to spam (even though it hadn't before during the previous email exchange) with a new available appointment date. This would have been fine if the email ended here. However the person who responded continued with a remark about how he understood my frustration and how "unfortunate to them when they spend time going to a home which was not marked properly". During the request for service, I had to provide my address. So before offering a price or coming to a home, wouldn't a company want to check a satellite picture or google maps what the home looks like to determine whether a home was marked properly? This snide comment definitely threw me off receiving services from this company. I do not believe that I was rude in saying that I was a bit disappointed and I had not even complained about the missed appointment that was made due to "my email going to spam". Even if I was rude as a customer and if a company no longer wanted to work with me, they could have just say so or refer me elsewhere instead of making passive aggressive comments via email. They make it very easy to set up an appointment using an online form, and have very reasonable prices. An appointment was available within two weeks of my request, and they came promptly this morning and were finished in about 30 minutes. I happened to be home to observe that they came and did the work, although you don't have to be home at all. By the end of the day I received my email invoice and paid the balance on Paypal. These guys are the BEST! I've used them for years and will stay with them for as long as I live in this area. My neighbor sent me a photo of the back of my house to show me that my rear gutter was separating from the facia board. NOVA Gutters came out and cleaned my gutters, and they also fastened the sagging gutter to the house. They told me the problem and how to have it fixed, which cost a lot less than another gutter company quoted me. My appointment was scheduled for a Friday but the weather forecast called for a lot of rain so they rescheduled for Saturday. I was home when they showed up and they could not have been nicer. This review is based solely on the customer service I have received and not on their actual gutter cleaning services. I have never been treated so rudely by a business before. On January 20th I scheduled an appointment to have my gutters cleaned with NV Gutter Cleaning. I was confirmed for an appointment five days later on January 25th. Understandably there have been some delays due to the inclement weather, however, it has been nearly 4 weeks since my scheduled gutter cleaning. The last time the company got in touch with me was Jan. 26th advising they would try to get out as soon as possible once the snow melted. Today I emailed the company to check on the status of things since the weather is starting to warm. I explained my gutters are pretty clogged (just moved to a new home a couple months ago so it's not a lack of maintenance on my part) and that water is beginning to improperly drain/pool into an area near my foundation. The response I received from Kevin the manager was that they were still "a good 2 weeks" out from my appointment and that they had fallen behind due to the weather. I responded by asking how an appointment that was booked 5 days out (aka at most 5 days' of appointments ahead of me assuming they have cleaned zero gutters in the past 4 week) was now at the very least two weeks away. I also asked him to please keep my appointment on the books for the time being in case I couldn't find another appointment before then. His response was that he CANCELED my appointment and asked me to please find another company. Also, he sent this cancellation email to me FIVE times. Very unprofessional. I understand weather delays, but a January appointment shouldn't be pushed back all the way to March. There are too many gutter cleaning/home maintenance companies in this area to deal with being treated so rudely. Update: I contacted another gutter cleaning company and within 48 hours they came to my house to give me an estimate and cleaned my gutters on Saturday February 22, 2014. Amazing service. I contact this company on Friday afternoon and received an email response with a quote and an offer to come out the following Monday. I checked one other place to compare prices and services--Northern VA Gutter Cleaning was the clear winner, so I set up the appointment. They arrived on the appointed day and left a hand completed service statement with notes and I received an emailed invoice. I was able to pay online--very easy! Not only did they clean my gutters, but the washed the skylights. SO worth the extra $10 each. This killed two birds with one stone as my skylights DESPERATELY needed to be washed. You make an online inquiry, they email you as estimated price and time for scheduling (we had an appointment about a week later), they clean the gutters and leave an invoice in your mailbox. After which, you can simply go online and pay through PayPal, without ever having to see or speak to anyone throughout the whole process (if you so desire). I set up a gutter cleaning appointment 2 weeks ago with Nova, the date was scheduled by them and I already confirmed through the email, but they never showed up, wanted to call to find out the reason, no one was answering the phone and the phone mail box was full, I had no way to contact the owner. Never use this company again. Update the previous review : There was a misunderstanding in communication between us on the internet, the owner came to apologize and fixed the problem right on the next Saturday morning, he was polite and honest and did a great job to clean the gutters of my house, he even suggested me how to do to avoid the gutters clogging in the future.
