They were very accommodating and even brought out a cheese stick and all the toys for him to feel at ease. The main office and waiting room was clean, tidy and comfortable. I found their prices to be reasonable. It didn't feel like I was being forced or coerced into spending more than I needed to. The vet even talked me out of doing x-rays, which I would've gladly paid for. I highly recommend them and will be definitely back in the future with my other pets and Monty.

Unfortunately, since moving here I have lost my dog (cancer) and two cats (one from cancer and one from old age (20). They are always helpful, very knowledgeable, and compassionate. They always do their best to fit me in when I have a pet emergency. I would (and do) recommend them to anyone who has four legged children. They really did a great job for us all that time.... until we fostered and adopted an elderly (13yr old) dog from McKamey. We spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on lab tests to confirm what McKamey already had diagnosed was in the records .... Dog had an ear infection. RedBank could not figure out how to treat it, so they recommended a specialist for treatment (shocker another VCA business). They wanted to remove the ear canal of a 13 year old dog for $5K! The known side effects are defenses or death!! It seemed like a lot to put an old dog through. For some reason RedBank wanted to cash in on this poor ole buddy instead of helping him. Red Bank has SOLD OUT!!!!!! Yepp VCA owns them now, that explains all the nickel and dime redundant tests and services they push and charge you for for without approval. The once caring owner cashed out (good for him). Only wish he would have made an announcement and told all his customers and patients that billable services now come first. I went for a second opinion at Lighthouse Veterinary Allergy & Dermatology. They prescribed and mixed an ear drop that fixed it without surgery!!!) We very much appreciate SMVC!!!…read more Our 18 year old feline has been dealing with Hyperthyroidism for 4-5 years. Recently, all of a sudden, his symptoms got much worse. He was losing weight (not that he has much to lose) and his hair was falling out. He was taking his maximum dose of medication orally without much affectivness. SMVC suggested a cream that is applied to the bare skin of his ear vs a pill. It made a huge difference and while he's still super skinny, he gained a lb or so. Thank you!
