I wanted to send my wife flowers on St. Valentine's day at work....a new thing for me to be able to do. Since she works in Melrose Park I wanted to find someone local. I like having a "go-to" florist and have not been able to find one in a while....till now. I spoke with Manny about what I wanted, NO red roses (it's my thing)...and after talking for a little bit I put my trust in Manny to create something amazing. I was offered a choice of delivery windows, I picked the one I wanted (between 8am-12pm) and filled out the card. Once I was done paying, Manny gave my son a small stuffed bear to give to his mom (the wife) for St. Valentine's day....a very nice touch. Fast forward to the big day and at 9:30am the wife texted me and sent a picture of the flowers, and I was just blown away at how amazing it was. The wife was beyond happy, and a little embarrassed since only one other co-worker got flowers...and they were not as nice as this display. Thank you for the most beautiful bouquet for my aunt. We live out of town and weren't able to make the funeral. The florist was able to provide with ideas when I told her a little a list my aunt. Family who attended the funeral said that the bouquet was breathtaking and the roses were enormous and each rose had a crystal in the center! Much like the other review mentioned, Manny left many people disappointed on Mother's Day. I have been a repeat customer with Manny over the last couple years and it seems like that wasn't valued at all. I placed an order a week in advance for Mother's Day and scheduled it to pick up at 1:30. On the left is what I ordered and the right is what I received which was a much smaller bouquet and different color scheme. Also keep in mind I had to wait till 3:30 to get my order. Disappointed, I tried reaching out to Manny which took me 3 days to get ahold of and in our phone conversation he acknowledged that he over booked and offered to give me a new bouquet, being that the holiday had passed I was interested in getting a credit instead which Manny offered to give me a $39.99 credit even though I paid $88. I agreed to that and attempted to use my credit on another order on I messaged him about via Facebook on 5/27 he told me to call him the following day and I have now tried calling him for 3 days which is obvious that he has no intent in honoring his credit. I'm very disappointed that he would do this to a long time customer and can no longer recommend his services. read more

Manny's Flower Shop was my first stop shop as I was looking for a vendor to decorate the church for my wedding. He was extremely knowledgeable and listened to my needs the day we sat down the day of my appointment which was the week of Halloween. We talked about church decor, boutonnières and my wedding bouquet and what not. The appointment went so well that I didn't bother looking into other vendors. A month passed without hearing from Manny. I left several voice mails and messages with his assistant and I never heard back. This place is a pretty small flower shop, but than again they all usually are. I was under the impression that I would be able to get some nice looking roses and lily's, but either the flowers weren't properly cared for or they just had a bad batch or I may have come too late in the day. The white and yellow roses had the tips kind of brown.... I went with the regular red roses and white lily's. They did have staff there willing to help but they were really pushing their floral arrangements which I didn't care for. I didn't know that they sprayed perfume on the roses???? I'll come back to this place only if I ever need too, it wasn't the little flower shop that just felt right to me that I could trust with my floral needs whenever I have one. Sammy from Elmhurst is obviously one of those folks that are never satisfied. How would you rate a florist whose arrangement brought the recipient to tears? I asked Manny to create a special piece for my Mother-in-law. I gave him an idea of what I wanted, and a price range, and told him to do his thing. And, man did he ever.The piece literally brought Mom to tears. When I actually saw the arrangement a few days later, I was astounded. It looked like it belonged in a botanical garden. Absolutely beautiful, it's fragrance filled the house, and it's still holding strong almost a week later. Easily worth twice what I paid for its artistry alone. And to make this all the more extraordinary, Manny personally delivered it for me to St. Charles (because he had 'given everybody the holiday off'), in the worst snowstorm of the season. Second , I placed my order on a Thursday for Delivery next day Friday between 10:30-11 am , it is 12:30pm and nobody answers the freaking phone or have they delivered the flowers I already paid for the day before. This is not the place to go if you are getting married on Valentine's day. They were unable to actually handle my order on one of the busiest days of the year. All of my boutonnieres and corsages for the wedding party were placed in a plastic bag and not pinned to anything. I asked for no baby's breath and it was everywhere. My bouquet was supposed to be a mixture of white lilies, roses, and peonies - instead I got a bouquet with closed lilies, peonies were missing, and the roses were already browned on the tips. Paid over $150 dollars for bouquet and it was missing a whole flower. When I spoke to Manny, who I believe is the owner, was really rude and unprofessional. I'm still waiting for my refund. You know who I am......2/14/2014 wedding. Would not recommend to anyone to go here. You are better off going to Jewel or Sam's Club. read more

I really don't know how to explain how much Manny has helped with my wedding. He is such an amazing person and is a good hearted person. He not only helped me with picking flowers, but also helped put the boutonnieres for the groomsmen, helped me relax before I walked down the aisle, helped with the setup of the center pieces at the reception, and helped me the last minute stuff that didn't get done at the reception.
