I ordered online the day before delivery, using their website and had a confirmed order for August 6th 2019. Long story short, their pricing was listed wrong on their website and they wanted to charge me an additional $5 for the order. Additionally, I found this information out the day it was supposed to deliver, and this was an anniversary gift for my wife. They did try calling me and once I saw a voicemail I called them back and they advised that the pricing on there website was wrong and they could not honor my order. I personally don't think that is a valid excuse, and i was left to scramble for last minute roses on the day of my anniversary. Luckily 1-800-flowers Designs by Guzzardo's came to save the day. I paid $30 more for better product and they delivered roses to my wife within the hour. I could have paid more with this company, but their service is unacceptable . You can't have false advertisement online and then try to charge more, that's not accurate, and you're basically lying to your customers. I recommend using a DIFFERENT company when it comes to flowers, and the company that came and saved the day, is located close to where squires is. I DO NOT recommend SQUIRES. I am the Music Director for a church in Herscher (west of Kankakee). One of our members had heart surgery at Loyola Hospital Maywood. Called and spoke to one of the staff and expalined what I wanted. A nice arrangement for around $60 that would be suitable or a guy. Although the final price came out to $84 with tax and delivery they created a beautiful arrangement that will last for some time. It looks like it is worth every penny. They certainly didn't skimp on the flowers, and created a truly stunning arrangement. Our choir member called and thanked us for such a striking arrangement and how much it meant to him and his wife. My niece died very unexpectedly at Christmas, and on Sunday, February 13, I was visiting her grave for the first time since her funeral. It was very important to my brother that we bring a specific arrangement of pink and white flowers. I showed up at Squires at the very last minute, totally forgetting that it was the day before Valentine's Day -- and I had not preordered. I told the owners what I was looking for and they were incredibly kind and accommodating. Because it was Valentine's Day, they were out of pink flowers, but knowing how important this was to my brother, the owner actually PAINTED a bouquet for me and put them in a vase that we could stake in the ground at the cemetery, as there is no headstone yet. The arrangement was beautiful. This type of kindness and customer service is rarely seen these days and it meant so much to my family. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

I recently placed an order with Squires for a delivery to my better half at work. I placed the order late in the day the Friday before Mother's Day. It was a tough order to fill as I didn't get the order in until 11:15 the day I was requesting the delivery and just to make it a bit tougher, I wanted it delivered before 3:30 that day. When I spoke with Irene she told me it would be difficult as she was completely swamped with orders due to the Holiday. She hesitated, I begged, she said she would do her best.... Well, the flowers didn't quite get there in time but they are absolutely gorgeous! My girlfriend loves the arrangement!!! So I figured mission accomplished... Then I received a call from Irene apologizing for the late delivery and she asked if she could send another arrangement at no charge to make up for it!!! She held true to her word and another Beautiful arrangement was sent, much to the envy of my girlfriend's co-workers... If you are seeking a regular flower delivery proceed BUT do not use these people for an event. Irene the owner is very fake and phony before she gets your money but as soon as she does she will completely change her attitude and all of a sudden be very "busy" for your event. I used this garbage place for my wedding and I was missing half of the stuff I paid for. My bouquet we spoke about was not what I got. I got long stems with many thorns still on them. I was so embarrassed with what I got. Run like hell from this lady for your event. You're welcome. read more

WEDDING DAY FIASCO I used this place for my wedding and it was a huge mistake. I did not receive half of what I paid for but it being my wedding day I didn't have the time to call or let it ruin my day. None of the parents had thier flowers and none of the flower girls had thier petals! I did not appreciate how she (the owner) gave other events more importance than my wedding. If that was going to be the case and she was not going to be able to multi task/deliver she should've said so so we would've seeked another place. Of course she stated how busy she would be that day after she received the money in full. I can't state enough how unprofessional this place was and I do not recommend anyone use them or the generic quality of the flowers which arrived half dead! Never received a call, apology and oviously no money back. Please beware of this mom and pop, hole in the wall, horrible place. You will be disappointed and robbed of your hard earned money but more importantly have your special event ruined. read more

The Florist, Irene, was cordial and fast. The arrangement was beautiful. I had a last minute arrangement and she was able to do my arrangement right away.
