Last fall, I reported that I felt they weren't working properly. When their service technician came out, I was told that the sashes were a quarter of an inch shorter than they should have been. He ordered new sashes. When they arrived, he installed them in two windows but in the third the latches didn't line up. He told me that he would order new ones and install the latches himself. On January 19th, one of the windows that was replaced in the master bedroom had a seal failure and there was ice in the bedroom, which I let Thebco know about. On May 20th, the service technician brought only one sash with the wrong latches. I called Thebco in early July and received an email apologizing blaming the manufacturer for the delay. I called again on July 17th and haven't received a response. Was Canadian wild fire smoke getting into our bedroom, and did I have increased utility costs with windows that may not be operating at 100%? Is this what you would consider good customer service?

When I needed my two 9X7 garage doors replaced, I called R&R. The craftsman came out and in one day did a complete tear off of the old doors, install the new doors, and clean up the area completely. I felt like I was dealing with a neighbor, not a salesperson. It was a tough decision but his personal touch closed the deal. When the day came to do the work, the crew was onsite right away and went straight to work. They were not disruptive and got the job done in less than one day. Mike (goes by Dino) taught me about all of these things, whereas the previous vendor did not. He stopped by multiple times to make sure the door wasn't sticking and to make sure the system was working as designed. Do not go with any other vendor. Call these folks immediately. The system is quiet, and it works really well, and the service is excellent. It is normal to need adjustments, and when you do, service matters. The cost is reportedly in the middle for automatic doors. As per policy, a complete assessment of your current and future needs is free at Capitol Locks and on-site, so you should get a bid. Full Disclosure: my door did stick once since the last repair. I used the technique they taught me to give the wooden door play, and it hasn't acted up since.

The large gaps left at the bottom was allowing my neighbors dog to get out, until we fixed it. The exposed old posts and nails are unsafe for my child and dogs. I called the company about these issues and claimed a 5" gap was "standard practice". They said they would fix the exposed old posts and nails, but here we sit 3 weeks later and nothing has been done. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Not only does this seem like a fast and lazy job, but with the posts at 10' plus apart, the fence really moves and feels cheap.
