the care is great but the billing is atrocious. you get quoted for services they run your insurance have you sign a quote. then 4 months later you get a bill for $409-$600 more than what you where quoted. makes it impossible to budget. this hasn't just happened once. it's happened at least 4 times now. after ten years I have had enough. I saw Bradley K Harris Nov '23 for a dental crown that had come out. He took a film and stated that he could recement the crown which could last as long as ten years. It lasted two days. He then recommended a dental implant. In lieu of the implant being done immediately, he recommended a partial denture. His assistant did all of the work. He did not even check to be sure that the fit of the denture was correct. In a two week period of time I paid B Harris over $1000.00 in cash as he preferred. More importantly, I have also requested a copy of my dental records three times, including the film, but B K Harris refuses to give them to me. This is in violation of both Federal HIPPA law and Indiana law--both require that health practitioners provide patients with their health records . Fortunately, I am now under the care of the professors and clinicians at the country's leading university dental program. In such situations it is important to notify both federal(the Office of Civil Rights) and state(the state Attorney General) officials so the provider's name is on record regarding violation of federal and state law. read more

I arrived about 5-10 minutes early for my appointment recently and was not taken back for about 10-15 minutes past the time it should have started. This isn't necessarily common for Northpoint Dental, so it was a little surprising to me. The occasional wait time is the only reason I can't give them 5 stars. However, the waiting area/lobby is very clean and inviting, with magazine stands, framed pictures and some patient art on the walls, and nice, comfortable chairs that create a relaxing atmosphere. Two other customers came after I did and were both taken back before I was. But... This office has a very friendly, knowledgeable and capable staff. Mary, the administrative assistant, knew my name as soon as I walked in, greeted me with a smile and checked me in without my having to say anything, even while she was on the phone with another patient--I couldn't multitask like that! Their skilled hygienists do a great job. Shanice, who took care of me, is friendly, thorough and gentle. Dr. Harris is so friendly and personable, taking time to ask if I have questions and explain anything I need him to about the exam. Overall, this is a great place and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality care from skilled dentists. read more

Warning! Unfair business practices at Northpoint Dental Care in Fishers! I am posting here to warn people about the unsavory business practices at Northpoint Dental Care: 10604 E. 96th Street Fishers, IN 46037-9798. Earlier this spring, I called to ask if they were accepting new patients. They asked if I had insurance. I gave them my insurance information and they scheduled me for a teeth cleaning visit. On 05/15/18, I arrived for my 6 month cleaning. No problem! At checkout, I scheduled my next exam for 6 months later. 11/9/18 was agreed upon, I showed up for that appointment. Still, no problem! Fast forward to today. The bill came... It was a shocking bill! I was furious, who would have known that I will be receiving this kind of dental bill for my regular cleaning? $230.00. I called to inquire about the large unexpected billing. Apparently they didn't accept my insurance carrier and failed to recognize this the first time I called. What amazed me was their response: "As a patient, it was my obligation to verify if they are in network or not and they also lie!" They said they had informed me of that prior to my visit! Okay, granted I did not check if they were in network, but thats why I called initially. To see if they were accepting new patients and wether they would take my insurance. I could not believe they would pull this kind of trick to accept me and do two treatments before telling me that they don't accept my insurance. Had they informed me up front, I would NOT have come there in the first place, and certainly not for a 2nd time! They want to blame the patients for their own mistakes apparently. Not to mention that this is a ridiculous amount to pay for a simple teeth cleaning! Dr. Bradley and his staff were just excellent. I am always nervous going to a new dentist (not all are created equal as we found out in the past!) - but he was great with my young daughter who needed two teeth pulled :( . They were thorough and they also checked my insurance upfront before each procedure- to make sure it was covered - and give me costs if something wasn't. Where do I begin...Dr. Harris and his team have fixed my mouth more times than I can count. They have worked miracles within my budget and also gotten me in for emergencies last minute. I (like so many) have had horrible dental experiences in the past and so I promise there is no gentler touch than Dr. Harris. He takes the utmost care of his patients and their comfort is obviously very important to him. The office is clean, modern and relaxing, the staff are always friendly. I had a dental emergency involving my front tooth and even though they were closed for Christmas break he opened his office just to get me in and fix it so that I could keep my New Year's plans! After signing up for a dental discount plan that listed Dr Harris as a participating dentist as per the instructions of the dental plan, I sent an email to the office asking them to confirm that the office did accept the plan so that prior to making an appointment I would know that the dentist would accept the plan. When I did not her anything back, I called the office and stated my request to a woman whose name I did not get. All I wanted to know was whether he took the plan and to confirm the fees. Rather than answer my simple questions she started to ask me a series of questions about why I was coming in. I indicated that I had a tooth that needed to be looked at and wanted to confirm that dentist took the dental plan I signed up for and to review the fee schedule. I told her the dental plan suggested this prior to making an appointment to avoid any issues in case the dentist no longer took the plan. She asked then name of the plan which I provided. Rather than confirm participation in the plan and confirm the fee schedule, she asked me a series of questions as to why I was calling now. I said I had a tooth that needed to be looked at and wanted to come in- not an emergency, I was not in pain but wanted the tooth looked at. I asked her to confirm that the dentist was in the plan. She asked me where the tooth was in my mouth, if it had a root canal, if it had a crown, if it was giving me pain. I answered the questions and she then asked how long it had been giving me pain. I said it was not giving me pain and that I simply wanted to confirm that the dentist took the plan. As the plan was through Aetna, said she needed to call the insurance company to discuss my case with them. I asked her why? No reply- She then asked if I had Aetna's number as she did not. I gave it to her from the dental plan website. She then said that she would call Aetna and then call me back. She said it may not be right away perhaps 2-3 hours but she promised to call back. That was several days ago- no call back despite my waiting. In the meantime I called another dentist whose staff confirmed his participation, provided fees for services and made an appointment for me to be seen the next day. I saw the dentist yesterday and was very pleased. The office staff at the dentist who I saw was knowledgeable, polite and helpful. As you can surmise I never got to see Dr Harris so cannot comment on his skills but the impression made by the non response to my email then the clueless lady on the phone left me with a rather unfavorable impression of the office. read more

Love Dr Harris and his whole staff. Like many folks I get anxious about the dentist. For years I knew I had a fractured molar but was too scare to do all the work needed to fix it. Dr Harris and his staff walked me through the process. He spent time answering my questions and did not make me feel like a bother. He referred me to someone for part of the work and then finished it in his office. It went smoothly and although stressful still for me...they did all they could to take care of me and get me through it. The scheduling and billing is always easy. I get reminders texted to me about check ups. That helps to keep everyone in the family on scheduled cleanings. They do a great job! read more

Years ago I was new to Fishers and I asked an associate for a dental referral. He and his sister both said I had to visit Dr. Harris. Many visits later I can tell you that he and his team are second to none on every level of an exceptional dental practice. I have referred many to this office and each person has thanked me repeatedly. My children go here and have none of the typical fears of going to the dentist. Staff turnover is so low and that doesn't happen by accident. Since relocating from Fishers I could see a new dentist 5 minutes from my house but happily choose to drive over an hour to continue as a patient of Dr. Harris. Very prompt service, very personable staff. Each chair is equipped with a TV and you are given a choice of movies you can have played while you are undergoing your procedure. Dr. Harris is very friendly, extremely skilled, and always willing to explain or answer questions. Quite honestly, I don't know what more you could or would look for in a dentist. For those looking for cosmetic dentistry options, Dr. Harris offers expertise in inlays/onlays, implants, veneers, bleaching, sealants, etc. If visits to the dentist make you uncomfortable you can ask for sedation or nitrous oxide if you wish, but Dr. Harris has taken care of a few of my fillings (at my request) without even needing numbing.
