I can not say enough good things about Northridge Eye Care. My first experience was to pick up a pair of Cocoon sunglasses that I won. That day I asked about getting my housemate Tom in for a check up because he REALLY needed to be seen for a new Rx for glasses. His 20yr + glasses broke in early Dec 2017. He is not a typical case. He has had glaucoma since he was a very young child, he has a prosthetic eye since very young. He had not seen any eye doctor for at least 20 yrs. He refused to even consider going in for a check up after all the years and numerous surgeries he endured. So getting him in for ANY reason was not going to be easy or fun. In think I dreaded the process more than he did. Every step was handle smoothly, very friendly and professional staff, easy to schedule appt and follow up appts here. We learned Tom needed cataract surgery, Dr Haugen did the surgery and won over the him over first appt. The surgery went great, after the follow up the next day, Tom was reading everything that flashed on the tv, like a kid who just learned how to read. After the next follow up, he could see someone walking across the street a few blocks up. I COULD NOT EVEN I COULD SEE THEM AT FIRST! What Dr Haugen did for him, words can not really describe. Tom has not seen this good for all of his adult years, he turns 65 in June. Then came my turn. Several eye problems run on both sides of my family. I was seeing "floaters" that were checked by Dr . Haugen. And I saw Dr. Cullum for my vision check to get updated Rx, I was not using the bifocals to read again which is a clue it's time to get checked. I decided to try contacts again for the hot summer months so I can wear good eye protection in the sun. First pair did not work very well. I am going to try "mono vision" at her suggestion (she and my mom use this!) and looking forward to how the work for me. We appreciate the patient, dedication, never rushed, "YOU are important to us" feeling every staff member gives. No doubt you will too. I really love this office! Dr. Haugen has the knowledge and experience I trust for my vision, I have been going to him since he came to town. He has surpassed my expectations. Dr. Haugen takes the time to explain what is going on with my eyes, the hows and whys. He shows me pictures and scans, discussing what he is looking for, the things I should be watching for and the reasons why they occur. The staff at Northridge Eye care are always joyous and pleasant. They also have a full service optical department. The Optician is a jewel! Very helpful in all my eye glass care and needs. She was so helpful, assisting me in finding the right frame for my face. My family and I moved to Red Bluff 4 months ago so finding a new ophthalmologist , dentist, chiropractor, and family doctor was a daunting task. I went to Northridge Eye Care today because my neighbor spoke highly of them. I rated 5 stars because: 1. Great ambiance which makes you feel relaxed. 2. The employees were friendly and helpful. I chose the Northridge Eye Care because of word of mouth recommendations. Many friends and co-workers told me of their excellent experiences. Also, I was told many times that the Northridge Eye Care was second to none. My cataract surgery results were amazing! My driving at night has improved, and the little things you take for granted when you see is amazing. Extremely happy with the quality of service and treatment by staff and doctors at Northridge Eye Care. When my cataracts had progressed to the point of requiring surgery to restore my vision Northridge gave me back a world of color and detail I had long forgot. They have such a big selection and they have such a wonderful group of employees. You can tell they all work well together. Linda was the one that helped me. I wish I had done this years sooner. It's been nearly 2 years since my surgery with Dr. Haugen and I couldn't be more happy. The consult and day of the visit went flawlessly - like most people (I assume), I was utterly surprised at how quickly the actual procedure took. I had a wonderful experience at Northridge eye care. The people who work there are so friendly and know you by name. They actually care about you. The doctors and staff take the time to really explain things to you and are very knowledgeable . You are not rushed in and out like cattle. I did have to wait about 45 minutes but I am a little impatient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone especially if you like good old fashioned customer service. read more

Dr. Cullum really cares about each patient and ensures that you're receiving the best products. My son had "lazy eye" and instead of jumping to referring us to a specialist for surgery, they insisted we stick with glasses and patching to solve the problem, which it did! The facility is very nice, clean, and well kept. The staff is friendly, very helpful, and go above and beyond for their patients. So far not so good. They called to remind me to be on time for my appointment or they charge $50 for a no show. I came 15 minutes early. I've now been sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes. So why make an appointment if you guys cant get people seen in a timely manner? ​ read more
