The good: The driver operated the vehicle relatively safely from what I could observe from the back, and we did arrive at our destination without incident. The bad: I sat in the front of the limo (closest to the driver, facing backward). During the ride, I didn't feel any wetness on the floor, but when I got out at the wedding destination, the bottom of my dress was soaking wet with a brown/green liquid. I immediately asked the driver to look into the issue. I pointed out the floor vent under my seat and politely asked him to check what the liquid might be so I could quickly research how to remove the stain before the wedding started in two hours. He said "okay," so I waited on the side of the parking lot for him to turn the limo around and investigate. Instead, he simply drove away. The photos I've attached show him leaving without any apology, assistance, or even an attempt to see what caused the issue. I was polite and calm the entire time, even joking, "Hey, if you can just help me figure out what it is so I can save the day and get the stain out before the wedding, that would be awesome!" I made it clear that I understood accidents happen and that maybe he didn't know there was liquid there--but still, no effort was made to help. There may have been a language barrier, and I'm very compassionate about that. I actually teach English Language Learners, so I know communication is always possible if both sides are willing--but in this case, the driver chose not to help at all. Honestly, he's lucky the bride didn't sit where I did, because if her wedding dress had been ruined, it would've been a much bigger issue. Other notes: The partition was either broken or the driver simply refused to raise it. The advertised sound system was just a small boom box you could plug a phone into, and it only played music in one area of the limo. It felt pretty cheap and not what you'd expect from a professional limo service. Take a look at the limo itself in the photos, looks like it has been side swiped recently. This didn't happen when I was in the vehicle but it certainly says something about this company and the quality of Limo you'll be getting if you choose their abysmal service. Overall, this experience left a really bad impression. A simple apology or a few minutes of help would've made a huge difference, but instead, I left with a ruined dress and zero accountability from the driver or company.

A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

What I cannot accept is being repeatedly lied to by company employees, making an already stressful situation far worse. We had a booked dinner aboard a cruise ship departing from Navy Pier. Knowing the ship would not wait, we reserved a Hummer limousine 2.5 hours in advance -- a 5:30 PM pickup -- to allow 1.5 hours of travel time from Naperville to Navy Pier in heavy traffic, with a comfortable buffer. The limo did not arrive. We called the driver repeatedly. He never answered. Not once. We then called the company. Each time, we were given a new promise: - "It will arrive in a few minutes." - "The limo is in traffic in Palatine -- pickup moved to 6:00 PM. We guarantee it, 100%." - Then 6:15. Then 6:30 with 100% certainty. At 6:45, we gave up and piled into our own cars. The limo finally appeared as we were pulling away -- not the Hummer we had booked, but an old, dirty substitute vehicle. The driver claimed he had been stuck in traffic on Lake Shore Drive for over two hours. Anyone suggesting a route from Palatine to Naperville via Lake Shore Drive is either deeply confused or simply not telling the truth. The wrong vehicle arrived one hour and fifteen minutes late. A few minutes more and we would have missed the departure entirely, losing several thousand dollars paid for the dinner -- and putting everyone through an enormous amount of unnecessary stress. Why couldn't Emperor's employees simply tell the truth, explain the situation honestly, and let us make an informed decision? Instead, every call brought another false promise of "10-15 more minutes." We made it this time, but only barely -- and no one should have to go through that.
