Cant say enough postive things about this business. I contacted them via text and arranged for a limo. They quoted a price, and on my coonfirming text, I mentioned that they were a bit higher than I expected. They replied tomy text and said that they were based in Grayslake and ther are was higher because my end destination was in Crystal Lake. They could have stopped at that point but these people really understand customer service - they referred me to a competitor in McHenry, which saved me money. You dont see that type of service from most businesses any longer. If we will be going anywhere in Lake County and need a limo, we will definitely call them first! read more

Please do not use Black Tie Limosine, Round Lake, IL.. I booked a limo to take me to Milwaukee Airport 2 days before Christmas and the scheduled driver did not pick me up. The driver was 10 minutes late and I called Tracy, the owner and she arranged another driver to be at my house in 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes I drove to the airport, but I arrived 10 minutes before my flight was due to depart and the airline would not allow me to board the flight. The driver arrived 1 hour late. I called Tracy to complain and expressed my fellings that I should be compensated the cost of the limo, $85.00 1 way, she said she would speak to the owner, which according to the website she is a co-owner. I was never compensated, all I received was a lame excuse and an apology from Tracy. I have used Black Tie about 10 times and have never had a problem, but I will NEVER use their service again and I hope others won't either. read more

I also had the same experience with Black Tie Limo. My husband and I had used them exclusively for airport runs for several years until they left me high and dry one morning. As I was driving to the airport I called to see what happened and to advise them not to send a driver as I was now driving to the airport myself. I was told that I should have called to confirm, that way they would have known to pick me up. Funny, I would have thought that the reservation I had made would have been reminder enough for them. read more

I just used black tie Limo this weekend and it was nice. The limo was clean the driver was nice But the only thing I would say that I didn't like was there was no ice. Not a big deal but if you wanted a bottle water or a pop you couldn't because it was hot. Everything else was good but I just wish they would have had some ice it was hot out and wanted some water. read more

My family and I were driven by Black Tie Limo last night. Picked up on time, limo was very clean. She was very professional. Greeted us all with a smile and opened the door for us. Spoiled us with complimentary soda, water, grape champagne for the kids, and a vodka rum punch for my Wife and I. She even put glow sticks in the car and let the kids keep them. Radio was excellent and lighting was awesome. Seats were very comfy. Driver was pleasant and cheerful. Our play ran over a few minutes but she did not nickel and dime us. Have had several normal experiences with this company but scheduled a pick up one day & when they were late showing up, I called the owner who said they had me down for the following day. Said she would send someone right away to pick me up but after waiting another 30 minutes. I gave up & drove myself. Figured I would give them one last shot & scheduled a pick up for another trip. That time around the driver showed up but his limo died in our driveway & would not re-start. My husband had to help the driver push the limo out of our driveway so I could back my car out & once again drive myself to the airport. I would not use this service again. read more

They gave us snacks for our travel out of Milwaukee and made sure we were comfortable. They also drove at a safe speed -- nothing worse than feeling like you are going to rear end someone the entire trip.
