What a shock to be charged more than double the agreed upon "flat rate". Driver put off talk of payment until we had unloaded at home and were standing in my driveway. What a SHOCK! The quoted "flat rate" of $75 was now nearly $200! I politely tipped but resolved never to book in advance with American Yellow Taxi. What's the point of booking a "guaranteed flat rate" in advance if that guarantee is not honored when weather delays happen. He cited "wait time" as the reason, but I communicated the new arrival time 3 hours in advance of our originally booked pickup. Don't trust the quoted price at American Yellow Taxi. They will take you for a ride if they can get away with it.
