Stopped by on a Sunday, we just missed breakfast seems like they get a good breakfast crowd, parking lot was full when we arrived but there were still empty tables. Breakfast was still coming out of the kitchen and it looked good! I had a BLT with fries and my bf had the club sandwich - both were really good. The waitress was super sweet and attentive.

Best bar in town! A place where truly everyone knows your name. If you are in the mood for great drinks, great food and great friends, this is the place for you! Thank you Cindy and Cain for an amazing experience filled with laughs and fun!

Stopped in for a snack and to play some video poker with my bestie. This place is a dive bar but in a good way..I ordered the fish and chips and it was GOOD crispy flaky fish with just enough coating on it to make it yummy. The bartender welcomed us when we came in and we had a drink in minutes.. lots of locals there who were friendly and chatted with us and I like that.

Bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed meatloaf with cheesy mashed and steamed broccoli. With a cup of herb ginger carrot soup.

Despite the appearance from the outside, and our hesitation to go in the first time we came here, we have now been back many times and brought friends.

I had the smoked beef brisket hash, because the special of the day they sold out. The smoked beef brisket hash was okay, I was expecting a smoked flavor, but didn't seem to have it. My wife had the soup & salad combo and she enjoyed the hardy soup with the flavor and the salad was a Caesar which was fresh and crispy and tasty. Our son in law enjoyed his tuna melt and Caesar salad very much and cleaned everything that was on his plate. Our daughter had the cheese fondue with bread chucks, but hardly touched it. We also shared the baked bread with virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette which was very very good. Also we shared the vegetable platter with 2 different types of humus which also was very tasty and delicious. And we also shared the fried green tomatoes with a buffet type of sauce and it went really well. If you like a nice relaxing and scenic place to enjoy and relax and have a good meal, you should try currents. The restroom is clean and well maintained and the restaurant area was clean. The staff was nice and service was good.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive and in that time our server came by once to refill drinks and water. The restaurant was about 50% full but she just disappeared. We weren't sure what took the kitchen so long either as we were never given an explanation or apology. Once the food arrived we received overcooked scrambled eggs and cold dishes. My hash was tepid but my friend's gravy had been sitting so long it became gummy. It had taken us so long to receive our food, we were hungry, and we were needing to get back on the road home that we didn't complain. Management should be utterly ashamed of themselves, particularly the GM (our group was full of food service folks including a fellow GM and they were all appalled). Never again. This place is not cheap and subpar doesn't even begin to describe the complete and total lack of food quality and service one receives. I don't usually like to leave reviews like this but this was maybe the worst breakfast I've ever had. Save your money and time and avoid.

You can tell the staff is happy to be there and they love their environment . They recommended lovely wines I was not well versed in to go with my meal and that started the meal off with a bang. Next i I did the radicchio salad which I've had at the other steak restaurant, but this is completely different. The flavors were wonderful. Montego dressing with some sort of olive Tina crisp to go with it. 10/10 recommend . It really balanced well with the wine I was recommended. I then moved on to having bacon wrap dates which are always a must at this location and the other location too. I finished with the Albacore tuna tartare. It came with fresh potato chips that are homemade and the tartare was out of this world. I will be going back just to have that as a snack. Overall, my experience was lovely and I'm looking forward to dining there again.

They're absolutely professional, kind and very good at their jobs. My challenge with Bar RBC is the menu. I am a near pescatarian and I have struggled to find the right things to be able to order here. I don't like their steaks or other meat items, they are of medium quality (my husbands steaks feel like they should be $20 from WF) and don't have the same high quality as their sister location up the hill. It doesn't feel right to me to pay so much for a simple shrimp skewer. I've ordered that before, but it's just not worth the cost. I just feel like the menu needs a little more depth. More veggies and more exciting things for those of us who don't love meat.

The atmosphere is rustic, cozy, and a little exclusive, which made it a really unique spot to grab a drink! We stopped in right after checking into our hotel, and it was the perfect first stop to kick off our weekend. There isn't a ton of seating, but you can choose between the cozy indoor space or the patio in the alley. Since there were only two of us, we were seated right away. If you're looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a quick glass of wine or a cocktail before exploring the rest of the town, I'd definitely recommend stopping by here. It's a charming spot with great vibes!

Follow the alley. Trust me…read more You know those places you stumble into and immediately think, "Yep...this is my kind of spot"? That was San Simón for me. At first, walking down the alley in downtown Bend, I honestly was not sure what we were about to find. Then we started seeing little fire pit pods, heated huts, glowing candles, and people tucked away having cocktails. It instantly felt cool without trying too hard. Walking into San Simón felt like stepping into some funky speakeasy hidden in plain sight. Dark lighting, moody atmosphere, David Bowie playing in the background, wild artwork on the walls that makes you stop and stare for a second. Just a great vibe all around. The kind of place where you sit down and immediately relax into the evening. The cocktails were excellent. Not overdone, not syrupy, just really balanced and well made. One of our favorites was the "Some Positive Feedback," which came with this sugar rim that looked awesome and added just enough sweetness without overpowering the drink. Bright citrus flavor, refreshing, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Then we asked the bartender if they could just make us something off the cuff. We said vodka, lemon and lime forward, not too sweet, maybe a little spice. They absolutely nailed it. Crisp, refreshing, layered citrus flavor with just enough heat on the back end to keep it interesting. Honestly one of those cocktails where everybody at the table takes a sip and immediately goes, "Oh wow." As a bourbon guy, I was also pleasantly surprised with the whiskey selection. The bartender recommended Stafford's Reserve, an Oregon bourbon, and I am glad I listened. Smooth, approachable, a little sweet up front with some spice on the finish. Easy sipping bourbon that fit the whole vibe of the place perfectly. What really made the night though was the staff. Everybody was friendly in that genuine way where you feel welcomed instead of "served." By the end of the night it honestly felt like we had been there before, even though it was our first visit. The outdoor setup deserves some love too. Bend cooled down at night, but the fire pits and heaters kept everything comfortable. We could have easily stayed another couple hours just hanging out. Pricing felt fair for the quality of drinks and atmosphere. This is not a dive bar pretending to be fancy. It is a genuinely cool cocktail spot that knows exactly what it is. If you are in Bend and enjoy craft cocktails, bourbon, cool music, quirky atmosphere, and places with personality, go find San Simón. Half the fun is finding it tucked down the alley in the first place.
