I really really want to love this place. I do. It's family-owned and local so I really want to support that. Being a wholesale flower place, I thought getting flowers from here would be a lot more affordable, but that hasn't been completely the case. I found this place while googling for a place to help a friend to buy bulk flowers for her wedding. She had a really good interaction with the business and was able to find a really really good price for her hydrangeas. Excited, I got my husband to call and place a 10-year anniversary arrangement with all of my favorite flowers in it. Yes, I understand that as a wholesale place, unless we're placing an order in boxes of my flowers, we won't get it. The flowers in the arrangement must be flowers they currently have in stock. This is fine, if they have explained that to me or my husband when he called to place an order. Whoever took the order for him allowed my husband to named all sorts of flowers they don't have and just jotted down names of bunch of different flowers on the order form that we didn't ask for. We know this because the owner show me her paperwork when we expressed our discontent... Which brought me to the next story... they are cash only unless you received an invoice from them through paypal. My husband had given the owner the money for my arrangement, and as we were trying to explain to her why we weren't happy with my arrangement, she immediately got super defensive and basically told us that we can either take her arrangement or get our money back. Well, we weren't going to do either because I want my flowers and she did work on an arrangement. And we always have a super soft spot for local, family-run business, so even if we weren't happy, we weren't going to walk out without paying. Anyway, after a few minutes of arguing back and forth, she offered to allow me to walk to the cooler and see if there were any other flowers I wanted instead.. which I did (love ranunculus!) So I got my flowers switched out and to prevent from any miscommunication, I stood there and discuss with her the flower options and the vision I have for another arrangement I had already placed an order for a bachelorette party I'm going to be hosting. So 60$ later, we went home with a big arrangement that had a ton of fillers.. And then today, I went in again to get a 10-stem peony bouquet because they knew how much i wanted peonies during my last visit, so they promised they'll contact me when they get some in. They did, but unfortunately, the girl I spoke to was not working the day the box came in so by the time she saw them, there was only one bunch left. She sent me a picture and told me that she was going to give me a slight discount. Ok. 10-stem peonies cost me 50$ plus tax. It was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be since I just bought 6-stems one from Whole Foods last week for 6.99$ But I didn't love the ones from WF because they didn't open up big like I was hoping, so I figured, what the hell, I'll spoil myself and give these a try. When I got home and open the bunch... 3 out of the 10 were really small buds... there was maybe only 2 big bulbs, and the rest were medium sized. Many of the petals were severely bruised, and at this point, I feel pretty silly for having spent 50$ on them. Yes, they're peonies, and yes, they are pretty... but the quality and the size I received was just not worth it. Maybe these were picked over since it is the very last bunch... maybe they had much better selections yesterday... I don't really know. Either way, I was pretty disappointed. But, when the flowers did open up, they were really gorgeous, still... not worth the money for a 3 day viewing pleasure. I went back and picked up the flower arrangement for the bachelorette. The flowers were gorgeous and pretty close to how i imagined them. So i'm very glad that this one had worked out. I'm not entirely sure about how i feel about doing arrangements with them again, but if i were ever in the market to get bulk flowers, i know where i'll be ordering from. read more
