The Sunday workouts are great. Yesterday we did a 300 themed workout which I thought I managed just fine, but today every muscle is feeling sore... which I like. The facility is super large, clean, modern, and spacious. You're not bumping around when trying to move out the rowers, find a spot to do your clean and press, etc. I really appreciate that. The first Saturday of the month I tried the guest WOD where you can be the guest of a current member. The younger male instructor (forgot his name) didn't seem too invested in helping me with form, etc, and was far more interested in talking with a few of the guys at the end of the rack area even though I was clearly unaware of how to properly do my full overhead squat. A helpful woman (who is also the rowing instructor) helped me understand what good form in my arms looked like for this move, and it only took about 30 seconds of her time to show me a correction to set me down the road of success. I would have expected paying attention to our form to come from the coach not the attendees, but maybe he was coaching them for the entire time he was down on the other side and just didn't think I needed help. Either way it was a little bummer for me, but I still love coming here for the Sunday class. If they price matched other Xfits, I would consider coming here FT.

It's Olympic lifting, it's gymnastics, it's crazy stuff that I had never done before and now I'm hooked. It's not a gym in the traditional meaning, it's coach led classes. This place is great. I shopped around and went to many of the other St. Louis CrossFit boxes and fell in love with the staff, the support, and the people here. The location is brand spanking new, it's super clean and organized, and the people are so helpful and supportive. It's like I found a family of people who push each other to do their best. Cheesy, but totally true. There are free intro classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm or call and see if they can do a free private session (that's what they did for me). It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.

But throwing the axes was super fun. We also got to throw ninja stars and some cards (metal). Super fun afternoon. Parking is available on the streets. The venue does not have food or drink, but feel free to bring your own.
