This is a thrift shop, so you don't know what you'll find, but whatever you happen upon, it's sure to be well priced. The shop is well organized and neat, with aisles wide enough to not feel claustrophobic. They had lots of books and magazines, of course, and shelves of small appliances. (An electric knife sharpener for $8!) They had baskets of sewing notions and fabrics, plus some clothing. If you like beautiful China, they had a set of Limoges for a steal. Now, the volunteers/employees- so nice! I wish I lived closer, because I think I'd be a regular customer.

It has all the basic equipments to get a nice workout done. They have two group class floors if you want to use that for stretching or warmups. Decent cardio machines as well. Nice and clean as everyone wipes down the machine after a workout. Locker rooms are decent. They have a sauna and a couple of showers. Bathroom Definitely needs renovation. Overall, not a bad place for a good workout.

Summer camp for kids and after school program as well. The Health and Wellness floor is fantastic! Precour Ellipticals and treadmills. Free weights, Cybex fixed weight machines. Group exercise classes for seniors, young people down to a class for kid ages 5-14! Many sports for kids and Pickleball several days a week for adults in the morning. Two rooms for working out have weights, sandbells, kettlebells and other items to assist you. The equipment is so clean and they follow Covid protocol having everyone use disinfect to clean machines. The entire facility, including the pool, is wheelchair accessible. This also includes a separate showering area and a lift for the pool, an elevator to the wellness floor and trainers that specialize in rehabilitation to help you with the machines. All in all this Y has it together, they are making a huge impact in the community with wellness programs and financial assistance to families so they can enjoy the services they provide. The concert I saw was amazing and everything sounded great. My only complaint: most of the patrons were so loud and obnoxious and more interested in their own drunken banter, which made it difficult to hear the music even though I was front row. If you're going to a concert (or doing anything else for that matter) and feel the need to get drunk or high in order to enjoy it, then that's a problem of your own that needs to be addressed and dealt with properly, not by subjecting others to it and robbing them of their own natural ability to live life. Other than that, it was a great evening. Nice place and I wouldn't mind returning to see another show. I just hope that the crowd there will want to see a show too and not take away from who we actually pay to see.

They really think they are doing you a favor by charging $19.95 for house slippers. Most of the items should be discarded in the trash. They think people are stupid when the double the price and then give you a 50% discount on sale day and even then the half price amount is the retail price you could buy the same item brand new at Ross. This place will close soon. Goodwill reported a record breaking 7 billion dollars of income last year and pays some of the disabled workers as little as little as $1.00 per hour. They should be ashamed as goodwill is supposed to help those in need and not get things for free and then take advantage of the very people they are entrusted to serve. Shameful, Shameful, Shameful.

It is clear that the teachers love the kids so much, and are so caring and attentive. Our oldest is now in kindergarten and TCCC was a huge part of setting him up to thrive. By the end of his last year he was doing math worksheets and writing short sentences, and that was all due to TCCC. Every day has new lessons and activities and art projects, and we are always surprised at how much they learn. I'm so glad we found TCCC and highly recommend it to everyone!

Hands On is my absolute favorite non-profit in Richmond. The organization partners with…read morenon-profits in the area and people looking to volunteer and helps match volunteers with organizations and opportunities. They have pretty much any type of project that you can imagine. You can be an ongoing volunteer on one specific project or you can volunteer on just one day. Each year they host Hands On RVA Day which is Richmond's largest non-profit day of service with tons of projects going on all around the city. I first participated in this a year ago and this is what made me fall in love with this organization. They have a passionate group of employees that inspire you to volunteer and and are very experienced and organized. My favorite project that they offer are the DIY projects that they post every month. This allows you to collect items and make something for a nonprofit that they need. For instance this month, the project is to make zip lock bags of toiletry items to donate to a non-profit in the area that works with the homeless. My friends and I gathered the supplies and assembled these kits in under an hour. If you haven't had a chance, create a profile on Hands On's website and figure out a way to get involved.
