Miracle-Ear definitely preys on the elderly. They will try to get their victim to sign a contract…read morethat states there are no refunds for any or all deposits. Each hearing aid requires a $150 deposit and if it doesn't improve your hearing, too bad. They convinced my mother to sign the contract and then didn't refund her money when the hearing aids were no better than the ones she's had for over seven years. They also will charge $40 to ship the hearing aids to their office. Why does it cost $40 to ship something so tiny? Amazingly they were there at 8 am the next morning after my mother called them at 4 pm the day before to order them. I also found it comical that the receptionist and the person selling the hearing aids wear lab coats. Do they really think we will believe they are some highly trained professional because they are wearing a lab coat? What is so messy that they need to protect their clothing? I decided to take my mom to the hearing center at Costco and was pleasantly surprised at how well the name brand hearing aids helped her. They were much better than the ones at Miracle-Ear. Not only were they less than half the price of the Miracle-Ear products, but Costco has a more professional office with much better equipment and staff. Miracle-Ear had my mother sit in an office with headphones on to create an audio-gram, but Costco has an actual soundproof booth. Just when I thought it couldn't get much better, they said if my mother isn't satisfied with the hearing aids, she may return them at anytime within six months and pay nothing. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do not waste your time and money at Miracle-Ear. $7,000 for hearing aids that are sub-par, I don't think so.
