The Fresha site they use to manage bookings needs a bit of work and updating. Pages couldn't load and it leads you back to the original questions. Rather than try to find a solution that would work, she opted to forego any attempt at customer service and simply said "there is nothing we can do." When my partner again tried to find a reasonable solution, the receptionist lacked the training or ability to deal with situation in a mature way, and chose to hang up mid-call. To call such action unprofessional would be an understatement. The reason to cancel the appoint is totally understandable, but a qualified receptionist with even the most basic customer service skills would attempt to come up with a feasible alternative to suit the customer, especially since there would have been an $80+GST cancelling fee if my partner would have been the one who had cancelled. Any professional organization that has high standards for their customers should also have high standards for themselves, but sadly, those standards seemed nonexistent. So one star for the unprofessional customer service, and hopefully the staff will receive the basic training required to engage with customers in a professional manner in the future. I have a coming appointment on 18th, hopefully they won't cancel it before the last minute. When I reserved my time online, I typed in my email address incorrectly, so they called and let me know. I appreciated the reminder. When I met my therapist the first time, Michelle, she asked which part of my body needs attention, then had me stood up to check on my posture and providing feedback. The evaluation was very short, so she could start working on me. Once I was on the massage table, Michelle started working, her voice was calm while guiding me to take deep breathes. She made very little conversation during the session so I can relax, but she did point out on the major issue on my body that is causing problems, so I can notice. Michelle's massage technic was exceptional, very solidly strong but gentle, not the kind that dig into the muscles causing pain, her pressure was very consistent throughout the session. She used forearm pressure instead of the elbow to apply more pressure, I appreciated that because the pressure from the forearm is more gentle comparing to sharp pressure from elbow. Michelle used very little oil so I wasn't all greased up at the end. She had a good playlist with more loungey Jazz lo-beat music than those water running zen music makes me wana go pee all the time. It's best to call the clinic to make reservation if you like to book with Michelle, since her schedule changes. The receptionist was very helpful when booking my next appointment.
