Great dog park!!! Has space for large dogs and small dogs. Double gated to help keep pets in when you're trying to go out.

This is a pretty lowkey park near the Jewish Community Center on the northeast side of Tucson. We…read moredidn't really explore a whole lot of the park, but it did seem to be a pretty popular place to go bike riding or taking a dog for a walk. On the plus side though, this park is near a few other larger parks, so it isn't super busy. We had no problem finding parking or getting access to one of the many picnic tables. So, if you want a more chill place to enjoy a picnic with nice views of the Catalina Mountains, this is probably a pretty good spot.

This is by far my favorite dog park in town. I used to take my dogs to Brandi Fenton, just down the…read moreroad but the park was filthy and small. This park has many shaded areas with seating for dog owners, pooper scoopers, and disposable waste bags. There are tunnels for my puppy to run through and shaded areas for my older dog to rest under. I've been here a dozen times or so and park doesn't seem as busy as Reid park which is nice. I have yet to see one dog fight or unfriendly owner which is a huge relief. As a young woman it is also a huge relief to come to a park without feeling the need to bring a friend or put headphones in to avoid the strange men who search for dates at a dog park. I'm sure there are still those individuals who visit this park but I have yet to have it happen unlike the many unpleasant encounters I have had at both Reid and Brandi Fenton. Also, there is a hose to wash your dog off or to fill up the many water buckets. Thankfully there aren't huge pools of standing water like the park on 6th since my puppy loves to jump in standing water. Overall, I think this is the best dog park I have been to in Tucson and recommend it above all others!

We will come again. A different kind of dog park, this one has trees, plants, and covered areas!

I feel so lucky to have this wonderful river path practically in my backyard. Today I started at…read morethe parking lot across from the YMCA on Shannon and took the trail along the Cañada del Oro up to La Cañada Drive. Due to all the construction on La Cañada, I was a little confused on whether the trail ended or continued across the street. I crossed LaCañada and started up a dirt trail for 100 yards but turned around since it didn't appear to be part of the linear park and I didn't know where I'd end up. There were a few other walkers and bikers that I encountered along my path and all were friendly. Signs do warn to beware of venemous creatures and one should always keep their eye on the path ahead of you. Today I encountered a medium sized rattlesnake sunning itself in the middle of the path. I've also experienced the other end of the park off Thornydale and it's a great stretch along the Cañada del Oro as well. The Christina Taylor Green Memorial Linear Park is such a wonderful way to get some exercise, enjoy beautiful views, nice people and the occasional wildlife.

The park consists of approximately 1.75 miles of paved shared-use pathway stretching from the north end of the Omni/Tucson National Golf Course on the east bank to Thornydale. It passes under at Magee Road and Ina Road, and pedestrian bridges are strewn throughout for drainage purposes. The landscaping is beautiful and helps to enhance the beauty of the walk! Two parking areas are provided: one near the Shannon Road and Magee Road intersection across from the NW YMCA/PCC and the other east of the Thornydale Road bridge across from Costco. If you haven't tried the walkway yet, its a fantastic addition to a strength training workout at the YMCA!
