As an RN of 20 ++ years I have always been sure to leave my patients with a feeling of security yet give them the true empathy they deserve and at Dental One Associates in Fredericksburg VA I experienced just that with Dr Christopher Beiner and his staff. My visit occurred at the end of the day after I left my office in the Burg. I was greeted with friendly calming ladies at the front desk and shown where the waiting area was while I filled out my new patient forms briefly. After only a few minutes of being shown to the waiting area, my name was called by my dental assistant/hygienist who graciously introduced herself and escorted me to my dental chair. After moments of sitting down Dr Beiner walked in and sat down beside me to introduce himself and chat a little before we discussed the reason for my visit in further detail. His calming affect and expertise were just a few of his most favored assets, but bottom line he was amazing all the way around The absolute best part was that he fixed my problem same day which was my cavity. In all my years as a patient and professional, I have never had or seen such excellent service and this meant the world to me. Dr Beiner and Staff, I would love to extend my appreciation for the experience I had in your office . What you all didn't know is that I was having an incredibly tough day and the pain that cavity was creating made it much worse, that is until Dr Beiner fixed it. I went in as I had an issue where previous work had been done some years earlier. Ultimately, I was going to need a crown. They placed the temporary and painstakingly did all that needed to be done to have the permanent one created. Afterwich, they said that the new crown should be in in two weeks. I went to the front to be scheduled for the next appointment and they advised me that it would be in about a month. Not terribly happy with that, but what are you going to so. Fast forward, I arrived early for my Thursday appointment, only to be told that it had been canceled. I was never notified! They did claim that they called, left a message and sent a text message...but clearly none of this was actually true. I asked why my appointment was canceled and the scheduling person would only say "that is not important now and we just need to get you rescheduled". I rescheduled for the next Tuesday and left. While walking to my truck I called and asked to speak to the office manager as the staff refused to answer any of my questions. I was immediately sent to voicemail and left a message asking for them to give me a call. As expected THEY NEVER CALLED. Since the office manager finds it acceptable to ignore messages I understand why the staff feels that it is ok to act in the manner that they do. I arrived on Tuesday pm for my appointment (not canceled this time) and had the expected great experience in the back. They did a fantastic job and I can not say enough kind things about the care that I received. Once done I went into the waiting room to be "checked out". I watched the staff behind the desk just standing around talking with each other. No other PT's were coming in or out either. I was also watching outside as a massive thunderstorm was looming. As it got dark and started to rain I simply left after waiting 15+ minutes. As expected, I have still not received a call. They did however send me an automated message in reference to my visit, sent a link and asked me to review them online. So here I am.

I returned almost every week for months reporting pain, sensitivity, and not being able to chew on that side. Each time, I was told to "let it heal" or was given a courtesy refill or X-ray... but no real solution. During my time as a patient, I constantly had billing issues. I would be told I was "paid in full," only to return and suddenly have a balance due. One time, I was hit with a $175 charge before they would finish my crown even though I had Care Credit and was told nothing else would be owed. My mother was even present when I was told I was paid up. I finally stopped going after being brushed off and hit with another surprise balance. I called to speak to the office manager(Sharonda), and instead of compassion, I got a combative attitude and overtalking. She offered to see me again but only out-of-pocket since they no longer take my insurance. I've since looked at the reviews and realized I'm not alone so many people have experienced poor communication, surprise bills, and subpar care. I would not recommend this office to anyone, especially those with dental anxiety or insurance concerns. You deserve better than to be dismissed when you're in pain, especially pain you didnt have before being serviced here.

When I asked the office why they gave me another one they said they didn't have the one from my previous dentist because I didn't give it to them and I said they never asked for it. They told me if I booked online I wouldn't have known to ask my dentist but if I called them someone would have told me. Like ok it's my fault for booking online???? Additionally, they're supposed to check insurance ahead of time and be aware of coverage and costs. I've never been so dissatisfied with a dentist office in my life.

We even did a pre-authorization, so I believed it would be covered. After the work was done, insurance denied payment because Dental One Associates and Dr. Reddy coded the crowns as not medically necessary. I called Dental One Associates multiple times and was told Dr. Reddy would provide a letter to submit to insurance. Weeks passed with no action. After continued follow-ups, the office manager finally called me back--only to say Dr. Reddy refused to provide a letter. That left me with an extra $1,100 bill on top of the $1,800 I had already paid out of pocket. My total cost was $2,900! If I had known that upfront, I never would have agreed to the crowns. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Dental One Associates and Dr. Reddy. If you are considering going here, think very carefully. Ask every possible question about insurance coverage and insist on clear, written answers about what will and won't be covered. Do not assume that Dental One Associates will help you if insurance denies your claim--because based on my experience, once they've been paid, you are entirely on your own. At that visit they even offered me an immediate appointment for teeth cleaning which I accepted and I'm so glad I did! The person who cleaned my teeth was talkative and kept me at ease. I am happy with the care I have received here so much that I actually kept my 6 month follow up for cleaning and recently went to that appointment. My next appointment is booked for later this year.
