As a first time client of Crown Dental Care, I was absolutely blown away by the service and care given during my appointment! First of all, I am not the biggest fan of dentist appointments but they made everything so comfortable and welcoming that I didn't mind it at all! Also, during these COVID times, it's sometimes daunting to make medical and dental trips but Crown has got it down pat! They send out the patient forms and wellness screening forms electronically to limit the amount of time you spend in the waiting room. They make sure that all patients are checked in via phone/text BEFORE having patients just come into the office so that the rooms are prepped and ready for you. They take your temperature when you come in and all staff is extremely well protected and in safety gear. They are truly thinking of their patients safety and needs. Each and every staff member I encountered was incredibly kind and friendly. And Dr. Zander was FANTASTIC! He brings such a relationship based connected to the dental experience and really takes the time to get to know his patients. I felt very well taken care of and can't wait to trust Crown Dental with my future dental needs!

He also said they were not consistent with what they decided was a cavity and what was not. This is pretty much par for the course in the DMV area, dentists are too ready to drill and want to pay off their school loans. Definitely seek a second opinion if this happens to you. I already knew about them because my sons go here, and we always have a good experience. They were able to see me the same day I called, which I really appreciated because I was in a decent amount of pain. I saw Dr. Khanna and she is probably the gentlest dentist I have ever encountered. She was knowledgeable and kind, and explained everything in a detailed way. In the end she found no specific cause for my tooth pain, but she recommended several possible solutions which I tried, and the pain has stopped. She also referred me out to a specialist to make sure there was no tooth fracture, rather than just opting to do a root canal. We were with Dr. Sibel Johnson for at least 3 years for regular cleanings which I happily give 5 stars. Then in late May, Dr. Sibel insisted I get a filling replaced because of a tiny crack. Weeks later the tooth was still very sensitive and I was not able to chew on that side at all. Went in to get it looked at. She checked and started to use a drill-like tool to smooth it down because the filling could have been too "high". (Even though the blue stain test showed it was not.) I immediately told her to stop because it was very painful. She wouldn't listen and went back in for another round. Dr. Sibel had no sympathy even after I told her it was PAINFUL. Days later my tooth and jaw started to throb like hell. Finally ended up with a root canal. Very upsetting and suspicious since I've never had an issue with this tooth for at least 15 years since I've had a filling. I don't have a history of dental issues. This was my first root canal ever. Plus they did not review (as usual) any insurance concerns or copays for the two visits after the messed up filling. They notified me of a balance for those two visits after I said we would not be returning and to cancel all future appointments previously made. She also insisted my son needed surgery to fix his jaw. But after my incident, I have indeed found a new dentist because I do no longer have faith in Dr. Sibel Johnson's judgement as a dentist and because of her lack of sympathy as a person. Beware and get a second opinion especially when she insists on any dental work. Will save yourself a lot of money and pain!
