I would be very very careful about spending your money here…read more We spent over $3,000 between a full setup of cold water dive gear and brownie 12v compressor that Harry recommended for our system and needs. On our first dive the compressor failed to perform as expected, it didn't fit our style of 12v plug (which was the reason we had purchased this particular system from Harry in the first place.) From Alaska we called Harry to deal with the problem he never returned our calls. We initiated phone contact 4 more times over our summer. Each time saying that he would look into the problem and each time never hearing back. We took it on ourselves to do extensive troubleshooting, we rewired the plug/made adapters, (all to no avail) the system would not work when plugged into either of our vessels. When we brought the compressor back in the fall to come up with a solution, it was the end of the summer dive season and he told us that it was in not in returnable condition. We used the unit for two 30 minute dives, cleaned it after each use and stored it in a storage bin afterwards for safe keeping. Harrys solution to the problem was to offer $0 in credit for a $2000 dollar unit and suggested an even more expensive units without even doing as much to removing the freight charges. Throughout the process he avoided accepting any responsibility for selling us a product that was incompatible with our system. Like the other one star review says, the rest of the staff seems really nice.

Annie is patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the sport! She taught me things I never learned, and the one-on-one experience allowed her to personalize the training specifically to me. The most helpful skills she went over (that were never taught in my open ocean course under a different dive master) were perfecting neutral buoyancy and how to weight properly. I had been taught to wear way too much weight! She keeps things simple, intuitive and allows you to relax and just have fun. I know she has a passion for sharing the experience of breathing underwater with anyone and everyone, and this passion exudes from every pore. I also went on a dive trip that Annie coordinated, and it was so much fun! The trip was well planned, and stocked full of extra lessons between dives about diving, photography, travel, marine life... you name it! This was a four day trip and she really made the most of the time she had with us. I could tell Annie just loves to teach, and she has so much knowledge to share. I am not a professional photographer, but her tips even helped me take great underwater photos with my point and shoot camera. I think she knows just about anything and everything you would ever want to know concerning diving, traveling and more! She has been all over the world diving, and she is just inspirational to be around because she is all about achieving your dreams! A friend told us about this camp and we mulled it over with our son. He wanted to go so he could meet people and NOT be bored all summer. We signed him up for 1/2 week and HE LOVED IT! We were able to secure another week, a month or so later, he could not wait to go back! He had so many great experiences to share with us and is completely hooked on this camp! The entire staff were so friendly and welcoming, they made his experience one to remember! Since the summer camp, he also signed up for the Scuba Camp (same location) and finished with his Advanced Certification in Dry Suit Diving. He has made a lot of lifetime friends at this camp! Super job to Annie and her entire Camp Staff, you guys ROCK!!!!!! We'll be back!!!!

Visited the Seattle area on business and had one free day to do something fun. We called several…read morecaptains who already had weekend trips booked and one of the companies we called suggested that we try Captain Craig. We're glad we did! We decided to fish for Ling Cod as it was too early in the season to fish for Salmon. The Seattle weather was not very cooperative, however Captain Craig did everything we might have hoped for to make the best of the situation and come home with fish. We began by fishing for flounder to be used as bait. The poles were already rigged and in great shape. The Captain told us the goal was to catch 12 six to ten inch fish, and that's exactly what we did. While in route to the fishing grounds the captain pointed out two blue whales that were playing off the port side of the vessel. While he was careful not to disturb the whales, he did stop the boat and drifted for a while as we took advantage of the photo opps presented by this unplanned surprise. While the whales were in sight,the captain sounded more like a professional tour boat guide than like a fishing charter captain, so we felt like this was a big bonus. On to the Ling Cod grounds and then came the wind and the rain. Wearing our foul weather gear we did our best to outlast the storm, as we were determined to catch at least one Ling Cod before we would retreat to dry quarters! At last, a fish was on, and soon it would be filleted and traveling to the east coast. With gel packs. Dispute the weather we had a wonderful time, fishing and laughing and surviving seattle weather. To avoid disappointment, you should not expect a well polished professional commercial fish company. Fishing with Captain Craig is more like having a friend from another life who takes you out fishing. The Captain has all the knowledge and experience needed. He knows the right spots and understands the how to take advantage of the tides.The best way to describe the vessel, Gratitude, and it's amenities is to say its a classic and it's what you might expect from a guy with a boat in a fishing village. If you're expecting a sixty foot Viking and a captain with a couple of mates and to take photos of accommodations to impress your friend, then this is not the place to go. But if you're looking for a guy with a nice side boat ((about 38 feet) who knows what to o and where to o to catch fish, who charges a reasonable rate, then look no further. You'll have gratitude that you fished with Captain Criag on the Gratitude. The bottom line, the price was right, we caught a nice fish, had a great time, and look forward to returning when the salmon season opens.

(ERA produces spectacular coxswains!!) The Snohomish River estuary is FULL of wildlife and there's a three-mile, dog-friendly walking path by the boathouse. The parent community is AMAZING. The Boosters manage an award-winning food trailer at traveling regattas - and I've heard they've got a coffee stand, too! Another neat thing about ERA is that it's full of boomerang-ers (kids who rowed as juniors come back to row as Masters, coaching staff were champion rowers at ERA and in college, etc.) It's the best deal around for a rowing club (1/3 the cost of other clubs in the region) and the community is unparalleled. It truly is a sport for all ages. Last I heard, members range in age from 12-83!!

We rented our gear from the dive shop right in front with two tanks and got into the water at 5pm. We were lucky that day as the waves were calm and visibilitiy was 40-50 ft. The good thing was the walk at the sand was short but the surface swim to the first buoy before we sank down was a 10 min swim and easy to cramp up in cold waters. We saw enormous groupers, sunken ships, crabs, large sea slugs and my boyfriend even claimed he saw a seal pop his head up to the surface when we were swimming back to shore. The best recommendation for this dive is to call the dive shop in advance to check if other divers said the visibility that day was good - makes a world's difference!
