I had to finally review this wonderful driving school. This is the second time using Northwest Driving School. Our oldest had Frank and Pedro as instructors. They were excellent. Our middle child had Debra as an instructor for all three two-hour sessions. Debra was excellent as well. She was very thorough, knowledgeable and supportive! We also appreciated her willingness to reschedule his last session due to a school event. The two day in-class drivers education was solid too. 15 1/2 years flew by and all of a sudden our oldest was eligible to obtain his driving permit. We decided on going through Northwest Driving School after looking around. They are certified through the DMV. We went ahead and purchased the 15/50 drivers Ed with drive test( 15 hours classroom instruction and 50 hours of driving instruction). They start off with the classroom portion and we accomplished this over a weekend. Once the classroom portion was accomplished we took him to the DMV to take the test to obtain his permit. Passed the first time. Once the permit was obtained, it was time to start scheduling his driving instruction portion. We broke it up over the course of 7 months. He had several instructors who were all fantastic (Simone, Roy, Zach, and Debra). They all took their time and were very patient with him while trying to get him comfortable driving around the Las Vegas valley. On the day of his drive test at the DMV he was picked up by Debra and given a brief refresher before the start of his actual test. After it was all said and done, we had another driver in the family. I highly recommend this school if you have someone who is new to driving they are very accommodating and will work with you and your young driver on making sure they pass. read more

My son,Cameron, loved his driver's course with Roy Johnson. I purchased (3) 2-hr behind the wheel sessions and every time he would come home and say how awesome and helpful Roy was. Roy was patient and made my son feel confident behind the wheel. We scheduled the last session a few days before his test and Roy took him on the dmv test route's, it really helped because he passed his drivers test with a score of 97!!! I had taught my son Alex but wanted the professionals to take him and teach him anything I might have not done and also take my son for his driving test at DMV. Roy is a fantastic instructor! He gave my son the necessary tools to pass the drivers test and made him feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel. He was friendly, informative and highly skilled at navigating a teenagers nerves and inexperience. My son took three 2-hour lessons with Roy and he feels confident in his driving skills now. Hired Northwest driving school paid for a packages which includes 3 two hours driving lessons plus one 2 hour driving lessons. Frankie came and taught. At the end of the lessons the person whom I paid for to take lessons still don't make good right turns. Don't know how to stop at stop signs, stop at red light or drive in middle of lane. I asked why and what was told during the lessons, he constantly looked at his cell phone and put down Tesla. I am not sure why he would do that given he is the only game in town to use Tesla to reach and charges a hefty fee. Next time just pay for 1 lesson and teach the rest yourself. He is the worst! read more

I am very disappointed. I booked my son's class 1 month ahead. Every week they keep changing the schedule. I called them and explained that my son has work and school and they can't just keep changing it. They will text on the day of the lesson that they changed the time. Sometimes they have to change instructor which I already told them that I want my son to be with just one instructor but every week there is an issue. If my son's dmv test wont be soon, I will cancel all his schedule and ask for a refund. So unprofessional and no respect for other people's time. read more

I sent my son here to get his on the road driving instruction. All my comments are aimed toward that aspect of their service. Registering him on their website was pretty easy. Once you register, you just pick the course plan by the hours you want to buy and the instructor. For the instructor, you can read their bios to make the best decision for the student driver. When you register for the courses, you just need to have the student driver's instruction permit number on hand. During the height of covid, it was challenging to get my son an appointment for his driving times because there was such a high demand throughout the entire valley. Once you get the appointments, you'll receive an email with the confirmation of the sessions plus a form you will fill out due to covid. That form needs to be submitted to them via email prior to the first session. I was able to get my son a few sessions and he took his exam using their car. Yes, you can reserve a car plus use the option to have their instructor do a practice test just before the appointment with the DMV. I took this option and my son passed his test. My son had both Margaret and Frankie has his instructors. Both are excellent instructors and very patient. My son was scared of going on the freeway, but Margaret got him on 215 and he came back with a huge boost of confidence. This driving school is worth every penny and now my son is on the road with a strong sense of independence. I would recommend this organization. read more

To start off, I took two courses with different instructors. One being Debra and the other Margaret. Debra was an amazing instructor, she was extremely patient with me and is very knowledgeable. Her instructions were very clear and actually helped for the dmv test. At the end of the course she told me my driving was great and provided helpful feedback. On the other hand, on 4/22 when Margaret was my instructor it was a complete different experience. I completely understand that she may be strict, but she was not helpful at all. She kept critiquing me but the only thing she would say is "that is an automatic fail" and that would continue for an hour. I tried to explain to her how I have anxiety and that I felt like she was not helping or being clear with her directions. I was expecting her to at least apologize, but instead she said she is helping me and disregarded what I felt. At this point, she was defending herself loudly rather than coming to an understanding with me. We were practically arguing with each other and that made it difficult for me to drive safely. I tried my best to explain to her how my course with Debra was helpful and how she described things to me and Margaret continued to talk over me and raise her voice. I gave up trying to talk to her and asked for directions home. I am honestly surprised to hear and see that Margaret has great views because it seemed that she wanted me to fail from the start and was not patient either, more like she found it funny. She laughed occasionally when I was telling her how I felt. She was extremely unprofessional on her end and to make things worse, she knew my exam was scheduled 30 minutes after, so that makes me further believe she was trying to fail me. Thankfully, I called the company and I spoke to Luke about my situation. His response was very professional and he completely validated my feelings. He was very empathetic and quick to hear my situation out and gave me some solutions with what I was going through and even convinced me to still take my actual driving exam. I would say his customer service was probably one of the best from things I hear from other's experience and overall it was great talking to him about my situation. I eventually passed my driving test and I would love to give all credit to Debra and I highly recommend scheduling with her. read more

This was going to be my second behind the wheel lesson and I have to say I was really disappointed. I had my first lesson with Margret Estrada and she was great! She came early and texted me when she had arrived. I decided to get another lesson but couldn't get her again so I went with Kia Avant instead. She was 15 minutes late and didn't tell me when she arrived. I called the receptionist and she said that she doesn't come to the door, text or call to let you know when she's arrived. It's 108 degrees out so was I just supposed to sit outside in the dying heat for someone who was 15 minutes late? I booked this appointment 1 month in advanced and I didn't go. I canceled and asked for a refund. I'm taking my driving test this week and wanted to feel extra prepared but instead I feel disappointed and angry. read more

THIS is the school you want! They come to your house with their training car to pick-up your new driver, have caring instructors, and really explain the rules of the road. Our kiddo told us all about driving rules that we had forgotten. Just make sure to book early, bc they fill up fast. It's worth the wait. We had Pedro & he was awesome! First of all, this is our second experience with Northwest Driving School. We used them for our daughter 2 years ago and had a great experience with Amber. Now, it is our son's turn. Steve was the instructor that gave him confidence and comfort behind the wheel. Our son said that Mr. Steve not only coached him but asked him what he skills wanted to work on. I passed my driving test today. It was my second try and Christopher Genovese really helped me build my confidence. He's not the type of instructor that chats/talks a lot which I kinda like but I would suggest though that he should improve on giving direct feedback to his students like praising them when they do the right thing. PASSED TEST with 100% :) I signed up for 10 hours with driving test and let me just say that this whole experience was amazing! From signing up to PASSING my driving test! I signed up online around 9pm & the next morning they gave me a call to confirm everything. I took my five lessons within two weeks. After the 3rd lesson, I was able to schedule for my driving test which was two weeks later. Margaret was ALWAYS early picking me up from home and we always made it back home in time as well. If you're looking for someone who will take away the nerves of being a new driver & looking to build your confidence in driving, Margaret is the one! I looked forward to every lesson and now that it's done, I'm kind of sad. On the day of my test, Margaret picked me up at 915am and we drove around for a bit before heading to the DMV for my appointment at 11am. I took it at the Flamingo DMV & the test was a breeze! I was fully prepared to give a 5 star. my daughter was so excited after her first lesson with Marissa. this rating has NOTHING to do with driving instructor Marissa. She was absolutely amazing and actually got my daughter excited each time it was her day to drive. I had her schedule for her drive test with the DMV and coordinated with NWDS and was confirmed with them that someone will pick my daughter up a hour before her drive test and then take her to the DMV. No one contacted today and we were left stranded. I called about 30-40 times in a 40minute time frame and left message after message until someone called me back when it was already our appointment time with the DMV. only to find out that our date was confirmed but the representative did not block off the schedule. I took my daughter out of school early. missed work and now the next appt with the DMV is a month out. I'm so annoyed and just did not know this would be the outcome from such a great experience during the driving lessons with Marissa. read more

Very upsetting. My son received a grant from a special non profit organization that helps families of disabled veterans, and granted him lessons to this school. It took days to get even get ahold of this company because there mail box was full, and no response with email also. Finally got ahold of them to find out then wouldn't accept a check from this non-profit. I had the check all ready and my son was excited to attend. read more

They don't answer their phone, they don't call back when you leave a message, they don't respond when you email. JUST AWFUL IMO for a business.
