Came in for an upper G.I. the staff was excellent very friendly. Everything moved rather quickly also from the pre-registration to checking in to even being called back to begin the procedure. The hospital was nice and clean as well as the room. The nursing staff that assisted were very talkative and friendly. If in need of having any procedure, I would recommend Northwest Hospital. The outpatient care was amazing.

This center is a mid tier hospital that includes and ER and ICU with limited capabilities and staffing. Our son was admitted to the ER in critical condition and required far more care than they could provide. The ICU refused him. The ER did their best to triage and stabilize him until they could find a tier 1 trauma center. All Arizona T1's were full so they were looking for centers outside Arizona. The following morning Mayo Phoenix accepted him and he was life flighted there. Hat tip to his night ER doctor who never gave up the fight for my son despite the limitations of this hospital.

Front drive at Ka Cholla and Hospital Drive. Lots of parking.

I'm early for a echo heart scan for the va pact act. This goes to testing all Vietnam era vets for anything related to agent orange contact. I was in Danang for a year. Across the road was one of two storage facilities and flights at the Marine MAC air station. The test is just a precaution. They say take a test, I'm here. Pretty sure this is the last of the series. Over a few months. The Government is efficient. Most tests have been at a outside source, like here. Not at the VA Hospital. All good.

Just had a female ER doctor tell me I'm going to get cancer. Because I have chronic kidney stones and I had to many scans done.

Technically she knows a lot about the CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) and was able to immediately see how much it helped my husband to learn how what he was eating would affect his blood sugars. A number of years ago I also went to see Dr Alster for my thyroid. I was very happy with his plan that helped calm down my thyroid, and I have a great deal of confidence in this whole practice of doctors / endocrinologists.

My experience was a complete waste of five months, and I ultimately had to start the entire process over with another physician. At my third and final appointment, Dr. Alster informed me that two critical tests had been lost. These were tests I had specifically inquired about through the patient portal before that appointment, yet the issue was never addressed until I was sitting in his office. Instead of taking responsibility, he attempted to shift the blame onto me. This was not the first time there had been problems with my testing. Throughout my care, testing instructions were unclear and inconsistent, with different staff members providing conflicting information. Appointments were rushed, making it difficult to ask questions, which is why I relied on the patient portal for communication, which was a waste. Dr. Alster struck me as disorganized, unprofessional, and a poor communicator with little bedside manner. Losing critical tests after five months and then blaming the patient is simply unacceptable. Learn from my mistake and look elsewhere.

I called multiple times a week asking for results and they called me a MONTH. LATER. and told me they lost my swab. They said I need to come back in and get the test redone. This was literally an emergency appointment that I paid out of pocket for and they did less than nothing--this place is a sad excuse for healthcare. Never go here if you care about yourself. Seriously.

I came in for high blood pressure, was offered an induction, took the induction and was able to still follow my birth plan which consisted of wanting to stay unmedicated (no epidural or medication based pain management) and no Pitocin. Nurses were absolutely amazing and so kind. Because I was going unmedicated, they offered me the wireless monitor so I could get up and walk around if I wanted to which was a huge plus. I did NOT want to be stuck to a bed and thankfully I didn't have to be. Labor and delivery went smoothly and I was not at any point pushed to accept any interventions I did not want. In the mother-baby unit (I can't remember what they specifically call it), the only complaint I had was we were not told about the "celebration meal" that you can order for your dinner. Wasn't a huge deal anyway because my husband got us sushi and brought it back. Every person on staff were so sweet and helpful. The billing department has a little left to be desired but apparently its common for issues to arise with certain insurances but I'm not the first and surely will not be the last woman to give birth using VA community care insurance so they should know there should be no patient charges. Literally my only issues have come from billing.
