I had a huge bridal party who all were willing to help but I knew I needed a point person who had experience! I enlisted Lavinna's help for day of coordinating. My venue rented by the hour, so it would have cost me about the same if I hired someone to do the set-up as it was to rent the venue for more hours and decorate ourselves. The trade-off was that I had to trust someone to do the set-up and even though I was able to pop in for literally five minutes, I would not see the final product until we were announced, long after our guests had arrived. Kind of freaked me out. I got Lavinna, who did it all for me. She and her team were amazing. She emailed me before the event to keep me on track for what she needed. The set-up was seamless and everything looked better than I could have hoped for. She kept us on track throughout the evening. Then they made clean-up look like a breeze. As a bride, the time is flying by, the stress is high and you have a ton of people pulling you in a hundred different directions. Most of the communications with Tony was done via webcam since we weren't able to go back and forth to Washington. Tony was very responsive to everything and not only had plenty of ideas but he has the best ideas. If you pick him you unlock a world of possibilities for your ceremony and reception. Prior to having him I just thought I would pick a few songs, play the wedding quiz game and call it good. I was so wrong. Once I got to see his presentation ideas I knew we were in the best hands. There were multiple parts of our wedding that the guest had never seen before and moved them to tears, laughter and the best party opener after a year of masks and social distancing. He knows the right way to do everything in his lane and he pretty much becomes your day of coordinator, or their huge helper. He helped us with our floor plan and he always kept us informed on what was going to happen next. It felt like the wedding was a production. A Grammy winning production at that. The moment I realized we had made the best decision for our wedding by hiring Tony was as I was getting ready the day of. It was about three hours before the wedding and I was getting my hair done and just mentioned to my wedding party "Oh crap I hope Tony is able to set up and doesn't get lost or anything." My maid of honor said "umm... he's been here for a while and I am pretty sure he is all set up." He adds absolutely 0 stress the day of the wedding! Tony is very professional and his ultimate goal is to be there for you and your partner as well as keeping everyone involved and to have everyone leave at night saying "That DJ is my new best friend." I had so many comments after the weeding saying it was the best wedding they had been to. My Grandma and my friends are still commenting on how great Tony was. Ray is very well organized and his communication is fast, like within an hour or two of emailing him. Our wedding reception was indoors at the Tacoma Museum of Glass and he provided music for the dinner and reception along with dance lighting to make for a great ambiance. DJ Ray will ask you what songs you would like to hear and when. For instance, we provided him a list of songs that we wanted to hear at dinner and during the reception. We didn't have enough songs to fill the entire evening, so he filled in the gaps with plenty of songs that fit the genre and mood. He even was able to obtain our first dance song, which wasn't originally available on his list on his website. He is very good at reading the vibe in the room transitioning from one song to the next. He provided wireless mics for toasts and some MC services as we transitioned between dinner, speeches, and dancing. If you are looking for a DJ that can play the songs you want to hear, fill in the gaps with music that is appropriate for your evening, then I highly recommend DJ Ray. He was extremely easy to work with and very helpful in providing some tips for our wedding day. Very simple and straight forward. I will definitely keep DJ Ray in mind should I need DJ services again in the future.
