I know doctors are busy but so am I. What really burns my ass is they want you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. Screw that! I not waiting an hour to be seen. On my most recent visit, I waited 40 minutes past my appointment in the waiting room and then another 20 minutes in the exam room. While I really like Dr. Kazdan as a physician, the wait time is unacceptable. If this continues I'll have to start looking for a new internist.

I requested a visit to discuss my severe insomnia (maybe 2-3 hours sleep a night) and accepted an appointment 3 weeks from my call, confirmed that appointment the Fri before, and it was canceled by the dr 2 days prior. Had to wait almost 2 wks to get in. Had a good visit, ordered blood work, she said she would call me the next day. 2 days came and went. I called and left messages for her and also sent a portal message. When Margaret (triage nurse with a superiority complex) called me, she spoke to me like I was 3 and had no brain cells. When I protested being put back on a medication I hadn't taken for 3 days (didn't have anymore TO take) only for it to be titrated within 2 doses, I was told I was being defensive and she was trying to help. I told her that I was exhausted from no sleep in months at this point, frustrated at the lack of communication, and not understanding why this was being ordered when it wasn't needed. I also stated very clearly that I was NOT yelling or cursing despite how badly I wanted to because of being treated as if I didn't have a voice in my own treatment plan. She said she would talk to the dr and get back to me. Instead, she apparently told the dr I was rude to her and who knows what other lies she stated because I received a certified letter from my dr releasing me from care. The dr never attempted to reach out to me to find out what happened after years of never having an issue. NEVER GO TO THIS DR OR ESSE HEALTH HAZELWOOD!!!!

Mammograms This can…read morebe a very sensitive topic and a scary one quite frankly. I utilized this facilities imaging lab for my mammogram for this year! The check in process was a little odd meaning the patient registration clerks took a little longer than normal to check me in. Their explanation was "it's a new system" totally understandable. The waiting area was clean and kind of chilly! There was a TV for your entertainment. The wait was not long at all, then the technician called me back. This part right here, is the best part! That technician was amazing! Did you hear that? Totally amazing!! She was very professional, and addressed me by my last name. She was kind, compassionate, caring, and totally gentle. I felt so comfortable and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. The tech shared that she has been doing this for many years, it was very obvious from her mannerisms, and the way she conducted her self on the machine and professionally. She guided me through the process, kept me informed, gave great instructions, and I couldn't be more pleased! I received a survey concerning her and my visit later, I did not hesitate to provide the highest scoring possible. Some important takeaways: Although I was on Christian Northwest's campus my mammogram was booked through Washington University. In case you are interested in going there. There was not a co-pay or any cost due to it being a preventative service for my annual . The last thing if you're wondering, no, it did not hurt!! Now keep in mind, pain tolerance varies per person and our tomatoes are all different sizes but it did not hurt!

I have had skin cancer's on and off for more than 15 years. During that time, I have been to four…read moredifferent dermatologist. I have generally been happy with each one but I will tell you that I believe Dr. Pitts is the best dermatologist that I have seen. There are a couple of things that I think sets Dr. Pitts apart. Every time that I come in, he does an examination for new skin cancers. He is very thorough. His office staff is courteous and professional. The thing that I like the most is that he explains every step of the way, talking me through the entire procedure. If I have to have something cut out, he deadens the spot and continually asks me through the procedure if I am comfortable. I have been at his office three different times. I never have to wait very long in the waiting room and he is usually with me in the exam room within the first two - three minutes that I arrive. The office building is large, clean and professional. The parking is incredibly easy. I was there today for a follow up on a surgery he performed on my neck. While there, my wife asked about a spot on my back. He reassured us that it was absolutely nothing and offered to go ahead and take it off while I was there in the office. I would sum up my experience with Dr. Pitts as saying he is professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
