On January 16, I with Travis regarding a leaking skylight(s) in my home. The scheduling person contacted me to set up time for inspection and estimate; which was the next day, January 17. Great, speedy response. A gentleman from the company came out, took a look at the trouble areas and we talked about repairing/replacing the flashing around the skylights as they weren't properly done when skylights were replaced by another company. We also discussed cleaning of skylights and possibly the roof as well. I went back inside while he went to "write up the estimate(s)", thinking he would come back inside when done. After a short while, I went out to see if he was still here. Nope! He was gone. I then looked to see if he left estimate somewhere outside or in mailbox. Nope! Again, nothing. Forward to a couple days later, thinking maybe the estimate was emailed to me; checked both inbox and "spam" ... third Nope! On January 26, I texted Travis (a VP of company) asking about this. No reply from him either. Tried emailing them directly but that is not an option as it always "there was an error...". If they didn't want the job, it would have been nice to know, no harm, no foul. What upsets me the most is they were highly recommended by a good friend. Guess I expected a more professional way of doing business. read more

I used this company to replace my roof, was quoted it came with a 10 year warranty. When it came time for repairs 7 years later, I was told I only had a 5 year warranty on labor. I agreed to have a team come out to do the repairs at a cost of $ 350 dollars for one hour. The estimated came out with his son and was there for less than 45 minutes. No repairs were done only inspected the work and left to write a letter. I then got a bill for $450 dollars. I called this company and they told my the team was there for over a hour. I chose Northwest Roof Service over three other options because when they did the estimate on our roof Jason was clearly the most knowledgeable and experienced about roofing. He explained things that other companies did not. When they did the work it was quick, professional, detailed, and clean. I asked questions during the job and got answers. They made an adjustment that our complicated roof needed. They were a little more expensive than another company but I think truly worth it. Upon arriving for an Estimate, Jason from Northwest Roofing asked if I was experiencing any leaks or problems. Wow!!!, Impressive that they were willing to address my immediate concerns. I just loved Jason's thoroughness. . . He documented our problem areas with a camera, and showed me evidence of my concerns. . . and even addressed other areas he had noticed while assessing the job. After much research we wanted a Ridge Vent, Jason agreed that this was the best solution available for our house and needs. . . he also presented the newest technology for our built in gutter system --- with a PVC Membrane set inside which would efficiently allow the water to drain from our roof. One of the things that really impressed me was Jasons knowledge of roofing. . . he not only spot trouble areas, but he could talk details, kinds of roofing material, size of plywood underlayment, Inches of liner needed for vents, and such so that I felt confident in his assessment of my needs as well as his product services. The roofers who came were clean, efficient and paid so much detail to flashing, underlayment, and making sure everything was tight and sealed. Every courtesy was extended to assure my property was left neat, tidy and undamaged. . . including my concrete driveway where the dumpster had been set on woodblocks so as to not damage. This was the third of the five companies we invited to our home to get a quote. They were not the cheapest but were by far not the most expensive. They were even recommended by one of the companies that came out. Merle came to our house three times to walk me through everything. They haven`t done the work yet. They will next spring. In my opinion this place was the absolute worst. They improperly installed a vent on my roof, then told me it was installed improperly two years later when it began to leak (again). They didn't stand behind their work, they charged over $400 for a caulk job. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I felt they were not honest, and over charged for work that they should have stood behind. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Ever. read more

I went with this company because my Dad had gotten several bids and found that these guys were the best, so they replaced his roof over the summer. He was so pleased with their work that he recommended them to me. I still got bids, and NW Roof Service was the lowest, so I went with them too. They were dependable, on time, and did a fantastic, thorough job. The workers were all very amiable and hard working. They did the roof right. Whoever installed my previous roof during the Reagan era did not put any plywood anywhere, so my entire house needed plywood sheets, and they worked with us to keep the price low since that was an added expense. Merle would call and convey concern about the added expense, he was very conscientious about keeping costs down. I highly recommend this company. read more

I got a new roof exactly a year ago! Northwest Roof Service quoted me a reasonable price and didn't try to upsell me like other companies. They were the 3rd company I got a quote from and they handled all my issues that were pointed out by other companies (without ripping me off). The new roof was on in a day, the next day they finished with clean-up and added the additional venting. I appreciated their professionalism, their speed, and quality of work. We had Northwest Roof replace our roof and gutters. Jason provided an estimate to me quickly and addressed all my questions. They came in with the best bid even after we upgraded to their higher quality line of roof product. We also asked for a different gutter with covers and they were able to send me some good options. Jason then came out to review the bid and it took very little time (with no hard selling - much appreciated). The roof was completed quickly, and looks great. Their workers were very nice and efficient and did a good job of cleaning up. I did have to call to find out when the gutters would be completed as they weren't installed with the roof. My mothers skylight which you installed exploded and rained glass shards down on her dinning room table. When I called your office and spoke with Denny he said you were not responsible and said you could replace it for about $700. You didn't even bother to come out and see why it exploded. I've been total that the installation was faulty by two other roofers. I'm now having the county building inspector come out to check on this. This companny lacks ethics and integrity. Couldn't be happier. After checking online reviews(including Yelp) I requested bids from 5 different roofing companies pretty much based off others reviews. Northwest's bid came in on par with two other bids. After talking with the Northwest's estimator I was comfortable that I would get a quality job for the right price. Slept on it for a few days and contacted Northwest to schedule the roof replacement. About 10 days later there was a dumpster in my driveway and a crew of five on the roof. Roof job included the removal and replacement of the existing composite roof, two existing skylights, vents, flashing and the addition of a new skylight. Job was complete in two days. The crew sent to my house were professional and polite. Complete job cleanup was done during and at the end of each day. Final bill was exactly what I was expecting. I wish all contract jobs & contractors operated like these guys did for me. read more
