I broke down in Gaston, IN near the Petro. No one was willing to assist me with a forklift. Despite all this, they were available 24/7 and had one for recovering freight. All workers including dispatch and driver were assertive and friendly. Everything was done within a reasonable amount of time. The price wasn't bad for the towing and transfer of load plus was dropped at the dealership. I highly recommend these guys disregard the reviews. read more

Not even a smidge of a star,worst customer service,they find sly ways to jack up your bill ,they add fees that are not legal..It is illegal to keep personal belongings and illegal to charge a retrieval fee but they sure find a way to do it..Charged me to get clothes out..Tow was 250. Are u for real went a few blocks..40 a day storage supposed to be 24/7 but can't get a vehicle released after 5 and charge u again..Called other companies in the area they don't do under handed antics...Definitely don't charge u to get ur clothes,furthermore they didn't even secure my vehicle windows left down ..unreal,if u need towed and they don't have 2 wheels off the ground tell those rip offs to drop it ..you will end up paying a ton of cash to line their pockets ..please beware of this so called family owned business they will take u for a expensive ride.Shame on them read more

I hired Northwest Towing to come out to my residence on Saturday April 25, 2020 because I got my excavator stuck in mud beside our pond. Upon arrival, the driver said he wanted to hook onto the excavator in a location that I believed would damage the machine. The driver reassured me that he "was going to lift the machine up, not turn it around" so I allowed him to hook up to the machine. The driver then used a winch to pull my excavator out of the mud and ripped a hole in the rubber track that I previously told him he was going to damage. I immediately showed the damage to the driver to which he subsequently said, "we should've used a bigger tow truck." I called Northwest Towing's office on Saturday and they sent out a manager to take photos of the damage and told me they would have the owner call me on Monday or Tuesday. I didn't hear from the owner so I called their office. The office manager told me that she spoke with the owner and they didn't feel like they should pay for the damage because I was the one who got stuck. Only issue, getting stuck didn't damage the excavator, the tow truck driver damaged the excavator because he used the wrong size truck and went against my recommendation on where to hook to the machine. -- read more

My insurance company chose Northwest for roadside assistance for me when my car was broken down in the middle of town last night. They told me they would be there within a 60 minute window and I needed to be present when they arrived so that I could give them my keys. My friend had picked me up from my car and was going to wait at the scene with me until the tower showed up. The 60 minutes came and passed and I had still heard nothing from the company--no updates, no calls, nothing. I proceeded to call them to ask for an update myself, and they told me that they kept getting "police calls" that they had to put in front of me but that I was next and that I should be expecting them within the next 30 minutes. So we sat there and waited, again. 30 minutes passed and still no calls or updates from the insurance company or the towing company at all. So I called, AGAIN. They responded once more that they kept getting "police calls" back to back but the driver was on the way and he would be there in 10 minutes. Another 25 minutes passed and the driver had not shown up and I called one last time, ready to yell. They said the driver was on the street next to ours and arrived shortly after the call, which is the only reason I didn't yell at them over the phone. The "police calls" they were prioritizing before me were probably the people who were parked illegally that they could make an instant cash profit off of when the people come to claim their cars and I guarantee I was put below them because my insurance company was covering the roadside assistance and the turnaround for their pay would be slower. Had I been by myself in this situation, I would have been fuming. My car was broken down and I couldn't run the heat while I waited for them for two hours with no updates or compensations for waiting. This towing company would rather focus on profiting off of illegally parked cars instead of responding to the calls that were made first where the driver could potentially be in danger. Do not hire this company for your towing services. The customer service was awful and wasted everybody's time that was involved. read more

My partner had a car accident and his car was towed by this company. Owner was extremely rude and snarky when he told her that he could only pay $100 of the towing bill at the moment since no one had given him any information until a $1700 bill had come in the mail. She preceded to cuss us out when called out for being rude and called me a bitch for telling her to have some manners. She opened the door and proceeded to flip us off and keep arguing and cussing us out. Unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and never tow with this place. read more

Please do yourself a favor and NEVER hire this company.I should have consider all other "1 star" reviews, before I called this number. Just one star, is way too much for this company. I want to advise other potential customer (victims) to avoid this unpleasant situation. I called NW Towing and inquire about towing a truck and empty trailer for 35 miles. Hailey said $585, stating that they have a driver ready to hit the road. Based on the availability I agreed to hire them. In order to send a driver Hailey requested credit card info (just to have it on the file) , which raised a red flag. She insisted that this is the standard procedure, I provided it. After a while, seeing that the towing truck doesn't show up as promised, I called back again. This time Hailey was "not available" anymore, but Dawn offer to help; she said that the driver was on his way to pick up my truck, but the police called them and asked them to remove a wreck from the Interstate, and that was their priority now. I could wait for someone else to be available. Another hour went by and supposedly, another driver headed toward our truck. This time would have taken 40-45 min. After other hour and a half I called back again and Dawn said that it would take between half an hour and an hour to get to the place. It was clear to me that if they didn't do it within 4 hours, they would keep lying to me; at this point, I decided to stop this charade. I asked them to cancel the order since they didn't keep the the word. They agreed but they would charge $250 for doing nothing. When I called my bank to stop the payment, I surprisingly found out that they charged the card way ahead of me canceling the service. Once they got the card info, they charged it. Because of all this delay, I had to pay another company extra charge for getting the service "after hours". If this company wouldn't lie to me, I would have had another company doing the service. They made me missing an appointment at the service repair shop, wasting a full day and paying extra charges on top; they kept promising me that someone is heading towards me, but never showed up. For this only, they charged $250. I am wondering if this company exists for real, do they provide towing services, or they make money only of charging "service fees" for doing nothing. This outfit will sodomize you any way they can. Was sold a vehicle with an incorrect plates. Police pulled me over and impounded the vehicle. I was not told I had a choice of who was used. NW came and picked up the vehicle. Never told me who they were or where they took the van. Several weeks later I have a court date and charges were dismissed. The court provided the name of the wrecking service. When I caught up to them they wanted $1200.00 for yard storage in Muncie and they had already gotten a judges order to auction the vehicle. Further, they would not allow me to take $6,000 worth of tools out of the van. In addition the employee behind the counter gave me all kinds of sh*t about how I didn't know what it cost to run their business.... as if I cared. I never asked or tried to state. I did tell them that the $25 a day for storage fees were outrageous as I store vehicles myself... and charge that for a month! NEVER use these idiots. I never recovered the van or the tools. read more
