This urgent has very long waits, the staff are unprofessional, and it doesn't matter if you check in online. It is really difficult when you are expecting an illness or an injury to wait excessively while staff are joking and high 5ing each other in the background. I decided to give them one more try and it was the same story. I left went down the road and was called back to its 15 minutes. The staff at NW urgent care seem like they just don't care. read more

My wife was sick and her condition declined. We went in first thing in the morning. She needed a wheelchair because she was dizzy and she was slouched over in the chair because it was hard to sit up. This happens because she has abnormally low blood pressure and she was dehydrated. She felt nauseous so I wheeled her outside while we waited. A nurse can to check in her. My wife is a retired nurse and told the nurse she needed IV fluids because she was dehydrated and asked if they could do that when she was seen. The nurse said yes. We got in and they decided to run COVID test (negative) and took X-rays (nothimg found). They said they could give her a flu medication but it had been too many days so it wouldn't work. They said she should go home and call the doctor on Monday. My wife could barely sit up and needed fluids. We asked if she could get an IV and now they said they couldn't give an IV. Our only option was to go to an ER. So we ended up having to drive to Spokane and wait in line for another hour (thank God they were unusually slow) where they quickly determined she needed fluids. They gave her 2 bags while she sat in an area with chairs, she parked up, and we went home. Because the nurse mislead us about the IV to start with, they wasted 3 hours of time and delayed treatment. If we had gone home like they told us (25 miles southeast) I would have ended up with her passing out and would have ended up needing an ambulance. This also unnecessarily ran up medical costs because they did nothing helpful and only did unnecessary X-rays rays when she just needed fluids. Reading the other posts here, this isn't a one off situation. This place doesn't care how bad they are. They are just there to take money in an area that is woefully under served by good doctors. read more

I had come down with strep throat, went to urgent care (Northwest Urgent Care) in CDA, found I had strep throat and was put on antibiotic and they were outstanding. I developed complications 5 days later, rash, eyes very red and oozing, still low grade fever lots of congestion. Went to Northwest Urgent Care Post Falls the CDA one was booked. I have to pay cash each time, the doctor at Post Falls would not even give me eye drops. Now my eyes are swollen, dripping and red, now what do I do go back for another $115 dollars! Anyone know of a good doctor. Would not recommend the Urgent Care in Post Falls. read more

Made an appointment online and called when I got there. I have full blown strep throat. They refused to see me because I had only had my symptoms for 24 hours and they wanted 48 hours so they could Covid test me. I told the nurse I just had Covid in December. All I needed was antibiotics. Shameful they're turning away sick people. Don't waste your time with this place. read more

Went in with the Ultrasound paperwork results I just received indicating the need for follow up MRI or CT (stated by the MD reviewing the ultrasound) and asked to see the Dr as my MD just left for Europe. Having previous surgery for Melanoma and the potential relationship between this kind of gland tumor and melanoma had me worried so I thought I'd advocate for my own health and seek potential referral for a specialist and referral for MRI. They REFUSED to see me! They let their RN's determine who can see the Dr and who can't. She very clearly stated that there was nothing that they could do for me. Our one other time in that office, my husband had a referral from that office for an MRI, so I know that they could help me if they wanted to. No wonder there is never a wait, they let unqualified people make decisions about who needs medical care and who doesn't. In a town where it takes weeks-months to get Dr appointments, you'd think they could help expedite the situation. I am fully insured, had a medical reason and suggestion by the MD reviewing my ultrasound, and it would cause them no harm to make that referral. Shame on them. By the way, she did hand me a business card for a local ENT...although this type of gland tumor requires a specialist not a general ENT... further showing the RN's ignorance. Way to increase a person's anxiety about a potentially serious medical issue. read more

If I could give this urgent care a 0 I would. My daughter was seen today because her tonsils were swollen and had pus on them. Strep A was negative and they had to send the Strep B out for results next week. Instead of being pro-active and put her on antibiotics they told her to see an ENT (memorial weekend). They last time this happened she ended up in the hospital, so if your looking for medical treatment you'd be better off going anywhere but here! read more

We were able to walk in sign in, and be seen within 20 minutes. Nursing staff were very nice and professional.

On October 24, 2023, I struggled to walk into Northwest Urgent Care due to a blocked catheter causing me a great deal of pain. I had a cancerous tumor removed on October 17, 2023, is why I had the catheter. The lady at the desk informed me they don't work with catheters and called for an ambulance to transport me to the Kootenai County Emergency Center, but it wasn't showing up. Suddenly a wonderful nurse pulled me in back to where two other medical professionals were waiting for me and it just so happened that day, a medical professional knew how to resolve the issue and removed the blockage. They were all friendly, professional and worked very quickly. The nurse was especially wonderful. I wish I remembered her name. After the procedure, she asked if she could pray for me, and I gladly accepted. and she made the most beautiful prayer that made me feel wonderful and brought some dampness to my eyes. She made me feel that she truly cared. What a beautiful person she is. God bless her and all the medical team that helped me that day from the front desk to that wonderful nurse and the medical professionals that had the terrible task of clearing the blockage. I'm very happy the ambulance didn't show up. read more

Refused to see me for pneumonia. I already took a covid test somewhere else and it's negative. They wanted me to either take another one and wait 24-72 hours for results. By then I would have ended up in the ER. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I will never recommend you to anyone! read more

Dr. Winter was wonderful. He was quick, efficient and made me laugh even while I was super uncomfortable. He came in immediately and didn't make me wait. The front desk ladies on the other hand, I've never had someone at an urgent care roll their eyes at me. I heard them talk crap about co workers and patients calling on the phone. No one smiled. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by coming into a walk in clinic. read more

Had a bladder/kidney infection. Waited about ten minutes was seen right away. Nurse was young and pleasant when she left the Dr. disnt nake me wait forever he cane in with the pee test results and wrote ny prescription. It was a pkainless experience.....or at least until i get the bill read more

Excellent experience with Northwest Urgent Care, starting with the receptionist's friendly and patient phone manners, then she was equally patient and nice helping me check in and get my paperwork done. The tech was very professional, and Dr Martin was terrific. He listened to me, took time to examine me, and discussed the medicine options for my illness. Overall, this is a terrific place to go when you need a doctor now, but don't want to go to the hospital. I was in and out in less than an hour. read more

Highly unprofessional. Unwilling to perform testing upon request, stating it is expensive. Even after saying money doesn't matter still refused testing. Could hear doctor through door nearly yelling at the nurse that this is not a one stop shop and not you can't just come in and expect immediate results the same day, which was not expected to begin with, rather to get the testing process started. Could also hear doctor saying we can do tests for one thing which was not even close to what was requested. Would not recommend this facility solely based on the doctors obvious lack of caring for 1 his patients and 2 his staff. read more

We are from out of the area and needed to take our daughter to urgent care. We meant to go to Kootenai Urgent Care and stumbled across this nightmare of a clinic. The receptionist was on the phone when we entered. After she took her time ending what seemed to be a personal call she acknowledged our presence. When she finally did pay attention to us she treated us as if she was doing us a favor assisting us. She was rude and short with us. I asked if she took our insurance and she said she did not know. How does a provider not know if they take your insurance? The nurse then told me to call the back of our card to determine if our Premera will cover their clinic. She said if they had to check people's insurance everytime they would constantly be on the phone. This is especially funny considering the waiting room was completely empty. I then asked if I could have the TV remote. The rude receptionist said she could turn off the TV. I said I just wanted to change the channel to a news station. She then told me she did not want to change the channel and the TV would stay on the same channel, acting as if the waiting room TV was there for her pleasure. I've raised three children. I've been to many an urgent care over the years. This place is hands down the worst, rudest, place I've ever had the misfortune of entering. I called Kootenai Urgent Care. They were wonderful. Of course, they knew right away if they took our insurance. If I were the owner of this other clinic, I would fire the receptionist and the nurse who said they could not be bothered to call our insurance, and start all over again. read more
