My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Westrick because of my Hashimoto symptoms. Even though my…read morenumbers are "in range" my symptoms of hair loss, fatigue, weight gain, unable to sleep, pain, etc are all very present. I made an appt and a day later got a call from her office letting me know she would not see me because in March of 2025 (9 months ago) my lab work presented in "normal range" and she doesn't see patients within normal range (again labs from 9 months ago) so she canceled the appointment. Very disappointed that she only looks at labs and not the whole patient symptoms. I probably dodged a terrible experience with her and its a blessing in disguise.

Would highly recommend Dr. Westrick should you be searching for a new specialist (she deals with…read moremany aspects of endocrinology such as thyroid, diabetes, etc) or, you may be referred to an endocrinologist by your regular doctor for perhaps follow-up on certain blood test numbers. I was referred to Dr. Westrick by my regular doctor in early May to have some blood test numbers further evaluated. I was very happy with Dr. Westrick to say the least, and would without a doubt see her again if I need to. Her office was very nice, friendly nursing staff, and she herself was overly nice, friendly, and PUNCTUAL. I didn't feel rushed out of the office with Dr. Westrick, and we even talked about other issues I may be having that while they do not directly relate to endocrinology, she was able to give some useful advice and point me some other directions. I did have some blood work ordered by Dr. Westrick which showed a very low Vitamin D number - which in some cases can be a big health concern even though it may not relate specifically to the issues I was sent to her for. She put me on a very high dose of Vitamin D for 3 months and then suggested a follow-up blood test. One final thing I liked about the office is that her nursing staff called me literally the NEXT DAY with my blood test results, and the nurse was very friendly and overly caring. We all know some doctors' offices are either so busy or so "lax" that you often have to pull teeth to either get your results, or, evaluations of your blood tests or other test results which can be very frustrating and even nerve racking. I would highly recommend Dr. Westrick as she and her staff were wonderful. If you may be seeing a current endocrinologist for your needs and may be on the fence with that doctor - or - are perhaps looking for a second opinion - please see Dr. Westrick.

Dr. Sobel and Monica are amazing! Very knowledgable about metabolism and diabetes. Dr. Sobel is…read moreable to connect easily with first time patients and does a great job of educating his patients about the disease not just the symptoms. Dr. Sobel is very attentive, allows for plenty of questions, personally calls back and doesn't rush you off the phone. I loved receiving a follow up letter and lab results which helped a lot so I could bring papers to other doctors that I see and keep them up to date. All other health providers have remarked that Dr. Sobel is treating my diabetes well and I have very little complications. Monica, the office nutritionist and diabetes educator is just as fabulous. Monica taught me how to test my blood glucose, how to portion meals and also is just as available for questions and motivation with my treatment. Others have made comments about rude front office staff and I found that to be very untrue. Very professional and helpful staff and I got an appointment the next day after calling. Appointments are on-time. I'm very happy that I was referred to Dr. Sobel and will recommend him to all diabetic friends.

A few weeks ago I had gone in there knowing i made an appointment to get my flu shot. I called on 10/27/14 recorded I called on my phone that I called the office to make an appointment only to get a flu shot. I show up 11/07/14 on time and the front desk lady tells me she doesn't have my down on the schedule I was so upset. However, the nurse who takes my blood for me saw me in the waiting room asked why I was there. I told her she said nobody told her i was waiting for just the flu shot. She apologized and gave me the flu shot pretty fast. I felt happier but still it made my husband want to change Doctors because of it. The whole family was with me that day. We waited entire 30 minutes for me to get a flu shot, crazy day.
