The specialist says although surgery is definitely in my future he wants to prolong as long as possible. He referred me to therapy. I asked my my family Dr of 13 years who she recommended. Long story shortened. Dr. Phil Hix is where I ended up. I am so happy I decided to go to therapy. I had learned how to exercise and stretch my back. My neck was a different world I was clueless. This has been the worst experience I have ever been through. I put my mother there because…read moreHeritage Woods assisted living kicked my mom out because she needed more care. The administrator set her up because it is next door to them. The first night Rita, aka, mom was there they threatened her they were going to call the police to search her belongings for contraband. She was 86 and can not walk, she is in constant pain so she had tylenol in her purse, they confiscated that with the warning. The food was never what you wrote on paper and it was so bad. Rita went in at 115 pounds and left at 92. The cleaning was non existent. And you could wait 5 minutes to never to get help. She had to wait so long for her pain meds she would be in tears. Her blankets were stolen the night we got there, and so many things broken. They just did not care. The other floor they showed me was very nice. The floor she was put on should have been condemed. I could really just go on but you all get the jist. I have since moved her and she is treated so much better.

My son was sent to Symphany Maple Crest for recovery from an accident prior to another surgery. Medical care was a nurse practitioner who refused to wrap his legs for edema. ER doctor said his 3 day stay had set him back 2 weeks. We refused to have him sent back there.

I was referred by my Dr to Care Choice over 2 &1/2 years ago for IV care & supplies. The first…read morenurse they sent was very anxious & not familiar with Picc lines besides not washing his hands. After I complained I did get a very good nurse. My big issue is I haven't had any contact with them since Dec 2012. No calls nothing as it is 2015 & I'm still receiving IV medication. I assumed I was done with these people. When I tried to get PT in 2014 , from the same Dr who referred me to Care Choice, they came back & said I was still covered by Care Choice nursing plan. The best is when I gave Care Choice's information to the other plan, Glenview Hospital Home Nursing, they said they couldn't find any information & the phone number I was given when they came to my home didn't work. They seem very sketchy, have several company names & my Dr will not refer anyone else to this company.
