This is perhaps the most depressing and aggravating place to shop for props or decor in LA…read more Frankly, its a disgrace. Eddie and the rest of the management team should be ashamed at the reputation they have built for themselves through years and years of incompetent, unprofessional, unnecessary and uncompromising behavior. Every art director, decorator, and shopper knows that premiere props is the most ironically named house in the city - its rock bottom in terms of service. Need something photographed because you're 90 minutes away and won't make it there in time? they'll laugh you off the phone if you ask. Need to modify something and then restore it before returning it to them in the same condition it was rented? Dont bother, they have a policy of not letting anyone do anything to their inventory, not even switching out simple pieces that are held by screws like tabletops and bases. Not even if you return it in better condition then it went out - they'll L&D your butt before you can say 'why are you guys like this?' These guys clearly hate their jobs and act like they don't want your business. The place is a dump because they're too cheap to hire cleaners like the other prop houses do - everything is covered in dust and they have literally the trashiest daytime reality TV playing 24/7 in their office so Eddie and the other guy can enjoy something as terrible as they are while they pretend to work. If only everyone there would finally retire so they can get some young and enthusiastic employees who care about growing the business. I love not going here, and more people do every day.

The paint is also cracked and wrinkled out of the box as if they have already been in use. The only thing I'm more disappointed about was their response to the problem... customer service literally said that "they are meant for stunts and not for cosplay", basically excusing themselves for the finishing job being hap hazard. Also, the only remedy they offered me was to send the props back to them at my own expense. Terrible product and worse handling of the situation.

Typically their SPFX props are custom made to order from scratch so they need time to make them for you-so keep this in mind. However, in record time and many calls on my part later they were able to accommodate me and it worked out very well for our production. I ordered breakaway glass (beer bottles & two different kind of vases) I would recommend ordering several of the same prop as you obviously can only smash the product once, so consider ordering bulk for multiple shots for your scenes. They delivered exactly as they said they would and I got my order next day air with an hour to spare before filming the scenes that I needed them for. Additionally, I ordered fake shattered glass pieces that looked amazing on camera as well as a syringe prop & scalpel prop that draws blood. Everything looked and felt great for the scenes and my actors were able to use them all with ease! The customer service was top notch, very polite & accommodating for all of my questions and needs. Thanks again New Rule FX!
