Online menu is easy to use and has good food descriptions. The restaurant called and asked if I forgot to order rice or naan, but I confirmed I only wanted the 2 Dal dishes. Order was quoted as 15-20minutes. When I arrived, my order was bagged and ready to go and they threw in a free order or naan bread! Very generous. Dal Makhani $13, Dal Tadka $13. Both were really tasty but my preferences would be Dal Tadka. It was thicker and had a really great flavor. Naan was very soft and amazing with the Dals. It was more tomato-y and tangy as opposed to rich and creamy. Wasn't a fan. The mutter paneer was probably my least favourite. It was bland, and the paneer was mushy. There was not a lot of paneer in the dish. The kadai chicken, also another dish we get elsewhere, was spiced in a way that didn't appeal to me- and there was not a lot of meat. The only way I can describe the flavours I was picking up is "burnt"? I can't quite put my finger on it. The naan was also dryer than other naan. Veggie pakora was pretty good. Having lived on the south side of Edmonton most of my adult life, I tried every Indian option over there. Now that I've moved North, I have to try everything to find my new go-to.
