Only on the delicious food. We ordered Dal Makhani, a spicy dish with lentils and blank beans in a beautiful sauce. Also Fish Masala, Saffron Rice and some Naan. What a delicious delicious! The Naan was the only negative about that meal. It wasn't very fresh. Otherwise, everything else was so yummy. If you haven't been there or haven't ordered from them I highly recommend you try them. We have been coming here since they moved to this location on 163 street. We love the buffet but during COVID and getting take out we discovered even more fantastic dishes! The cauliflower 156 appetizer is soooo good! The naan (especially the garlic naan) is so tasty. We take 88 year old grandma and she loves it - Namaste is excellent at adaptable spice levels for everyone. The staff are very attentive and friendly. A definite favourite in our family. read more

Buffet was really disappointing. I realize they just opened it but they had small picked over amounts of the fish and vegetable pakora. Tandoori chicken was dried out and cut into oddly small chunks. Butter chicken had almost no chicken. Salad bar was out of salad. The naan was very nice and fresh. The actual service was good but I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning. read more

Went in for take out. Desiring butter chicken!! I want to say that this was the best I've had!! I can't wait to take my family here! From what I could see while waiting for my order, was a very clean, friendly and warm environment where the staff were happy to see you even if it's your first time!! My only regret was that I didn't get the name of the young gentleman that served me... BUT next time I go, I'll pay more attention. Next time I'm going to try a dine in experience! 2016 Just got a delivery from these with UberEATS. Easy online order with tracking. Friendly delivery guy! The food is relish the garlic basil name bread is so tasty busting with flavours. I try'd the beef curry tasty and I think it will be even tastier tomorrow for lunch. The samosa even after traveling here wee piping hot just the right amount crispy and so tasty! This place I will definitely trying again! Oh and a decent price too!! 2017 Third delivery from here I had the chicken vindaloo so tasty! Spicy which I love and full of flavour my other half had lamb butter masala again full of flavour and the lamb just falls apart. Our usually order is butter chicken and Chana Masalaa It lost a star for the following reasons: ordered takeout from their app a few weeks back only to find out they were unexpectedly closed. Bad experience! We don't get out for dinner very often so when we do it is a treat. Or it is supposed to be. We left the leftovers for the dumpster rather than taking them home. You can only reheat a dish so many times. The environment was nice but again we weren't seated in the beautiful yet empty booths towards the back of the restaurant. When we asked for a beer he said get it from the fridge yourself. Which I did and was the best part of the meal. All the food came out within ten minutes of being there. Very quick! But it seemed to us, as we could hear the microwave beeping away in the back that none of this food was made for us. Isn't that why you go to a restaurant? You place your order and the food is made to order, like atMcDonald's, subway etc. The samosas were ok but flaming hot in the middle and cold outside. The rice was acceptable. My girlfriend didn't like the naan but t I thought it to be ok. But our entrees, butter chicken and aloo gobi came out warm at best. They asked if we would like mild medium or hot and we said medium. However I bet it would have been the same bland mess whatever we would have said. The food got really cold quickly too, a telltale sign of being re heated. At the end of our meal we were asked if it was good and we said well, not really. I asked how much of the food was made fresh. And he said what do you mean? And I said made to order. He said what did you order? It kind of says it all really. He explained that the rice was probably microwaved (the rice was fine actually) but the rest was made for us. I delved deeper and he further explained that the chicken is cooked in the morning and sauce is added as ordered then re heated. In the microwave most likely. He said the aloo gobi was made fresh but honestly it came out so fast. You simply can't cook a potato that quickly. And it's not a race but I can taste re heated food. Not good. He gave us a discount however it didnt make up for the waitresses embarrassment as we got lies as answers to our prep questions. The worst food ever I ate in my life. I don't want to give any star, but that's the minimum. We ordered for delivery to my work. We got tandoori chicken wrap, chilli chicken wrap, paneer tika wrap and palak paneer wrap. Chicken wraps didn't had much of chicken, it just had rice and some gravy which smelled and tasted weird and stale. Same was the case with paneer wraps. We could not take more than 1 bite. Hubby and I wanted delivery for dinner, but we're getting tired of pizza and Chinese. He suggested we try one of the delivery apps, so we ordered through Just Eat. I pleaded with him to let me get Indian, and for once he said OK. He has a delicate tummy, so has to watch his spice level. Never wants to eat Indian unless I make it and can control the spice. So we ordered online (I love this, it reminds me of the app I use a lot in Los Angeles when I visit. Don't have to be social if I'm not feeling it). There's an area to put comments, so I asked them please to go light on the spice for his lamb. It took 45 minutes or so (as it states in the ordering area), so no worries. Husband had the Lamb Butter Masala, and I had the regular Butter Chicken. We also ordered rice and some plain naan to go with. For all those, our total came to around $45. A little high, but the food arrived hot and tasty. Hubby was completely blown away by how good his lamb was, and impressed that they paid attention to our spice request. The butter chicken was also very good. We have a new go-to favorite for delivery! read more

I made my husband take me out on a date, so this was his choice. He wanted Indian, and frankly so did I. We thought about trying a new place, and we ended up at Namaste India. The restaurant itself is small and quaint, with bright natural light from the windows. It was warm and inviting, and we were able to seat ourselves. I'm not sure how busy this place gets for sit-down ordering, but there was delivery people that came and went a couple times, and hungry patrons who had pre-ordered their food to go. We were offered water, and my husband also opted to have a chai milkshake. He said it was awesome. I tried it, and I would have to agree. It was very very good. Taking a look at the menu, we went with just a couple basic dishes. veggie samosas to start. They were hot, and crispy and super tasty! For the main course, we opted for Butter chicken, beef korma, saffron rice, and decided on the Special Naan. (on the menu, it doesn't say what makes it "special". Turns out, that there's cherries baked into the naan! It wasn't overly sweet, so we still ate it with our savory main dishes, and it was great). The food came out relatively quickly after our appetizers, and man did it smell amazing! The Butter Chicken was sweet and mellow, the saffron rice was perfectly cooked and the beef korma was packed with flavor. We took the naan home as a treat for later, and it was still as good then as it was at the restaurant. Stuffed to the brim, and ready to pay, we were chatting with the staff and it turns out they deliver to our area of the city! Bonus! After the meal we had, I'd definitely order again! read more

I eat here frequently and the service is always very friendly, even when I place an order to go. They are so nice and always chat with me. The food is wonderful. I've had a few dishes but always go for the classic Butter Chicken Wrap which is, in my opinion, better than Remedy's version. I know it's sacrilege to speak ill of Remedy, and don't get me wrong - I eat there all the time, but Namaste's butter chicken wrap is way more flavourful and more reasonably priced. The food is always piping hot and PLENTIFUL. Get ready to share. The chai is amazing, too! Namaste is a hidden gem tucked away by the Jasper Place campus of MacEwan University. The butter chicken samosas where advertised as a pastry filled with butter chicken sauce. It came as soggy regular samosas covered in butter chicken sauce. A very tasty menu with lots of options and authentic flavours. This restaurant is very deceiving as it doesn't look like much on the outside but what a great experience. We dined in but there were several pickups for take out/food delivery service. Our waiter was very helpful in assisting us with our questions as we have lactose and gluten allergies to deal with. The food was made fresh so they could accommodate our restrictions easily. The butter chicken, beef vindaloo, coconut rice and the cauliflower dishes were mouthwatering. Will definitely be back. My husband & I ordered from Namaste late one night because they were still open and offering delivery. We love Indian food but honestly didn't expect much, as my husband had already tried most of the Indian restaurants in Edmonton with a great deal of disappointment. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo (Hot) with sides of Basil Garlic Naan, Jasmine rice and Coconut rice. It's difficult to even describe the true flavour, tenderness and authenticity of these dishes... Everything we ordered was so delicious, so amazing, so full of flavour and spice - we were absolutely amazed! We feel the need to mention that the Naan bread appeared to have been freshly baked (not the crap you might might get with many other places, like they bought it from a store, but truly fresh, baked in house, Naan bread)! The delivery was prompt and tidy - no saucy mess within the bag (which we have experienced with many other places). If you love (or even want to try) authentic Indian food, we highly recommend Namaste! We will absolutely order from here again and again! read more

I haven't tried a lot from namaste, but I always love their butter paneer, rice, and naan that I order from skip the dishes. It's so well priced and tastes amazing. My only complaint is that they use styrofoam for the rice which isn't great for the environment. read more

Ordered the butter chicken through foodora and it was $15. It didn't come with nan or rice. After calling the restaurant they informed me that rice and nan are extra.... How can you charge someone $15 for a bowl of butter chicken sauce.... Oodle Noodle is a few blocks away and they charge $12.99 for their butter chicken and it comes with rice and nan. read more

I patiently waited and the food never came. Called again, and the owner ( or whoever picked up the phone) said, they cannot give me a time, they are just busy and asked me to cancel the order if I want to. Never. again. as someone else posted, the food took an hour and a half to get to us, it was cold by the time it got here. The Chicken Korma was AWFUL. We've had it lots from other places and have never seen chicken korma like that before. Also we ordered the butter chicken samosas. They were TERRIBLE the "butter chicken" smothered simosa tasted nothing like butter chicken. We also thought they would be stuffed simosas like usual but they were regular beef samosas covered with "butter chicken" sauce. Anyway, we recommend you Namaste away from this place . ha! read more
