Went there to accidentally as I was strolling around today... I have to say I'm not a big fan of desserts, but these waffles looked that good that I became weak and ordered a berry one (see attached picture). The girl who cooked the waffle was very kind and explained me a few things (waffle is outside cross / inside fluffy, originally from Hongkong, ...). Was a very nice talk while she prepared my order. Then as I've tried it, I immediately became addicted The tase was tremendously good, you felt that all the berries and ingredients were fresh and the waffle itself was very crispy Summarizing it was mindblowing I'll definitely be back soon and can strongly recommend it to anybody - no matter if you love sweets/desserts or not.

Decided to give bubble tea a chance here and ordered the lychee bubble tea. It was way too sweet. It needed to be diluted by at least an additional 50% water. Not to mention it was pricey but I guess average for Londoners.

Strawberry, Cream and Chocolate Sauce Bubble Waffle

I used to have bubble waffles in Chinatown in London, as the street stalls offered the HK bubble waffle - my particular favourite being the Nutella. So when I came to Nosteagia to try the waffles I had high expectations because of the different varieties. I ordered the strawberry, cream and chocolate sauce bubble waffle. The waffle was cooked so it was still hot but it lacked the slight crispiness which I was hoping for. Because of the heat, the cream had melted quickly and it became messy to eat as it was dripping at the end. However I did enjoy the strawberries and chocolate sauce and the dessert looked aesthetically pleasing otherwise. Our dessert (which I shared with a friend) costed £4 in total. I also purchased the Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Bowl) which costed £6. I particularly enjoyed this dish as it was filling however I did find it to be slightly tedious as it was just chicken, egg and rice. For its price I think it was pretty good, considering it is central London.

The waffle was super crispy and not really our typical soft and fluffy waffle. There wasn't anything special about the bubble waffle. It would be a good place for dessert, but it closes quite early on some days. There is also a location near Green Park station!

The waffle with the snickers, peanut butter, cream and chocolate ice cream is to die for! An absolute must if you're in Shoreditch town!

Had the queen berry waffle cone and it was amazing. Also good service. Definitely coming back

    Gyudon delivered (through just-eat) :)

It seems like no one has mentioned the Gyudon yet. OMG I love the Gyudon here, absolutely delicious, even better than some of the Gyudon I've tried at Japanese restaurants. I'm a big fan of Gyudon and found this place searching Gyudon deliveries on the Internet. I didn't expect it to be this good tbh since its a bubble tea&desserts shop. But it was really great. Large portion(lots of beef), rich taste!! Love it. Keep up the good work Nosteagia!!

This waffle place looks pretty tempting with fresh waffles being made on the waffle makers in front of you, and the displays of chicken + waffles, waffles + berries, and a few other interesting looking combinations. The waffles and toppings were fine, but you can get similar elsewhere, so unless you're a huge waffle fiend or you're craving waffles, I'd get something more unique that's harder to find in most places. The waffle we got was fresh and slightly crisp on the outside and a little chewy inside, and it was fresh. The berries and the chocolate sauce and honey on top were good, and the greek yogurt was a nice alternative to whipped cream. It was good but not amazing and it was little on the expensive side. If you have a waffle iron at home and berries at home, you can probably make something similar at home. Get a flavor that you can't recreate at home or skip this altogether and get something else at Maltby Market.

True masters of their craft, each element of the dish was absolute perfection, the waffle was just right, slightly chewy with just enough crust. The bacon- glorious American style bacon, smokey and peppery. Real maple syrup drizzled over the top and the biodynamic egg, a simple fried egg, but done amazingly to top off the dish. With a menu full of inventive waffles with ingredients like duck, figs, and goats cheese- I can't wait to try another fantastic waffle creation!

Offering a diverse selection, Pump Shoreditch is the perfect place to sit down, grab a drink, and eat into a food coma! While exploring each station, I understood why it was called Pump - the vicinity used to be a gas station or at least looks like it used to be one. There is a giant awning similar to that of a gas station. My friends and I stumbled upon it one brisk March night and we each bought food from different vendors because that's how you get a taste of everything. What caught my eye was a vendor who combined Mexican and Turkish cuisines. I ordered a chicken shish bowl: burrito bowl + chicken shish kebab = love. Hot damn it was amazing! I scarfed that meal down like nothing - mostly because I was starving and hadn't eaten all day. The chicken was perfectly spiced and on served with salsa and veggies iver rice...youre definitwly hitting thw jackpot! I'm sure you guessed it by now...I ate into a food coma, haha. Worth it! There are vegan vendors as well and cultures range from the aforementioned to Middle Eastern to Argentinian to Japanese and more! These markets usually offer the best food and Pump certainly didn't disappoint! If you're a foodie and you love food markets (i.e. Smorgasburg), you'll love this place!

It's not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. The food selection is really varied and interesting, with international cuisines including Mexican, Brazilian, Argentinian, Italian... My favourites though are the Asian stands - Makimayo and Nosteagia. I have reviewed Nosteagia separately so won't go into too much detail, but will say that the hot bowls are reasonably priced, delicious and substantial and the bubble waffles are to die for. My other favourite is the 'popcorn chicken' from Makimayo. This isn't how you'd imagine popcorn chicken, it's huge chunks of panko breaded chicken breast in your choice of sauce - the Szechuan style Gangnam is justifiably the most popular. They have a decent number of stalls catering to vegan as well. I like the layout of Pump, and having been an old petroleum station it's an interesting space. Gets a bit chilly though - there are fire pits but I've never seen them used! Oh and the bathrooms are inside Boneyard, just inside the kitchen and not signposted at all! No alcohol is sold on site but you can bring your own, which isn't a bad thing.

The waiters were nice but the food was not the best. I got a scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon & the salmon had a fishy smell to it, was flavorless and there was barely any hot sauce available. My friend also thought her burger was just okay as well with the biggest positive point being the bacon. That being said, the fried dough balls dipped in chocolate were really great and so were the holiday specials for alcoholic drinks. While the inside was spacious and retro and had a cool vibe, I have to knock down points for the actual food itself and wish that I had kept the memory of how much I enjoyed this place pre Covid as that since I wouldn't make my way out to this restaurant again even if I'm in the area.

Bacon was too oily. Potatoes tasted over-seasoned. I'm not a fan of mushrooms in general, so I couldn't tell if they were good or not, I just don't like mushrooms. I was most disappointed in the beans. They were heavily seasoned in some kind of curry, when all I wanted was normal English beans. The food wasn't terrible, I was simply expecting better quality.
