I hired Dan Riemer for a medium size project that included: creating a laundry room, adding a bathroom, removing a cumbersome circular staircase to create a comfortable stairwell as well as demolishing an old deck to build a new one. Dan took the project pledging that it would take 2-3 months and committing to have 2 working teams on the project. It went well for the initial 2 months, while demolition and hard construction just started. After this, it just became a nightmare. They did not show up for weeks at a time and construction got delayed beyond imagination. False promises were made over and over about the work being completed, but nothing got accomplished. After 6 months and hard construction not being completed on a single item of the project, I decided to terminate this madness. Obviously, I requested to get some money back for the work that was paid and not executed - They are now just ignoring any attempt to communicate, and I have not seen a single $ back. The construction is of mediocre quality as attested by the photos attached to this review. I highly recommend you staying away from Riemer construction and would be happy to give details to anyone seeking more information on this review.

He did a 3 acre fence as well as two patios, pathways, stone foundation, Concrete floor, outside, concrete enclosure, and many other things. I have only nice things to say about him. His price was very good and the value was amazing for what I spent. He was always here and he let me know if he wasn't going to be here, but he was basically here the entire time unless it was raining. He even did a roof that was ready to collapse and worked in the rain. My experience with Dan and his 2 sons is really really good and I would highly recommend him.

We were able to have our master bedroom vaulted and both bedrooms were repainted with recessive lighting installations. The Master bedroom was completely transformed beyond expectations and quickly become the favorite room of the house and the second bedroom/office is warmer, brighter, and cleaner. Joe and his team are honest, professional, and meticulous in keeping things tidy and organized. After all that, dealing with Joe was like a breath of fresh air. He came out to check out my space within a week of contacting him, took his time looking around and telling me his thoughts, which I appreciated. When he was a day or two later than he mentioned getting me the written estimate, he reached out to let me know. He followed up after the estimate, which I received during a super busy time personally, and I was ready to schedule the work but had to postpone, due to last minute travel for work. We agreed on a date after I returned, and again he followed up to make sure we were still on. This kind of communication has been unheard of, in my experience with hiring other professionals to work on my house, and I really appreciated it. Joe has been responsive, reliable, and friendly throughout, accommodated my work schedule and any interactions I had with his team were also fine. I'm very pleased with the work he did to restore my basement-it looks great and I can't wait to unpack all my stuff and start getting some use out of it (and also show it off)!! The exterior stonework needed repair and they did great with respect to matching the old grout color from 1995. I was pretty amazed how they were able to do it so perfectly. They clean up after themselves leaving no construction debris. They pulled up my existing driveway and rolled in new Item 4. They allowed it to sit long enough to firm up before returning to re-roll the low spots with more Item 4 and put down asphalt. They applied a generous layer of both for an amazing final product. They graded everything appropriately and were incredibly efficient. The only reason I left off a star is because of the communication. I had to call to find out when they were coming for the tear out and had to call again to get the date that they were coming back for asphalt. I was on their calendar but no one reached out to tell me dates. That was up to me. I would 100% recommend them for their work and efficiency.

They did a beautiful job sealcoating my driveway with all cracks carefully filled with hot tar. Since then, they bait-switched on me twice. First time they switched the oil sealer with hot tar filling to a latex sealer job. Later, Jr. told me that was his cousin and he's no longer there. Jr. said he would make it right for me if I would hire them again. But Jr. did the same thing to me this year. He sent another cousin over to do the job. This cousin, wearing another company's uniform, said no one told him that he needed to do hot tar crack filling. He got Jr. on the phone. When I confronted Jr. that not only we had agreed earlier about the sealcoating and hot tar filling and the price, but also his office confirmed all this with him, then reiterated to me item by item, which included hot tar filling of the cracks. Jr. said that it was the secretary's misunderstanding /miscommunication! So, the cousin did latex coating of the driveway and cracks. Besides, they didn't do a neat job either. Some part of the driveway edge was not seal coated and the grass on both sides of the driveway was black. Moreover, they tied the yellow ribbon on my fully loaded garbage can which I put outside for next morning's collection. I had to go out in the middle of the night to untie the ribbon and tied the ribbon to something else. I would not go back to them ever again, and would advise if you consider hire them, put things down in writing, don't trust what they say.
