The selection wasn't the largest, but I still found several items I wanted. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. I was happy with the prices I paid for the items I purchased and left feeling like I got good value for my money spent. I would definitely recommend and will be going back myself.

Comic books aren't my strong suit! I read them as a child but not something I'd prefer to do even…read morenow later in life. Nevertheless, upon entry I noticed rack after rack of comic books! There's also some trade magazines and a limited number of toys. I also noticed a laid back type of vibe to this store and I like that aspect! I arrived and spoke with the owner briefly, then left my books for her to check out while I browsed the store. I must say I was amazed at how well the store was laid out. Plenty of room to browse the different areas and sections. All areas clearly marked and arranged by themes. Most comic stores tend to be crammed into tight spaces and claustrophobic but this store was a pleasure to go through Nice selection of back issues and current issues, figurines, posters, graphic novels, games, and much more. And very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend if you're in the Asheville area, check it out! Oh, the very knowledgeable owner and I came to a fair deal for a dozen of my books!

The games isle is pretty haphazard. Hard to even find what you are looking for because there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how the shelves are stocked (example: They have a Bumblebee transformer figure in 4 places in the store scattered randomly..put all of 1 item in the same place). My BIGGEST peeve was 95% of items in the store had no price on them what so ever. How do you expect to sell things with no prices??? I did ask the cashier about the price of Funkos and she acted like I should have already known the price ‍. Ummm...no prices on boxes, no signage saying what prices are...guess you have to be Professor X and read minds if you want to go in there and be aware of ANY prices. Obviously, from not being there during the 3 year old's traumatizing YELLING... I can only say that the three clerks (including the owner) behind the counter I've encountered in my many visits, are almost painfully mild mannered, friendly, helpful folks. I can't even imagine any one of them looking, acting, or sounding vicious enough to be traumatizing. I mean, I guess the temperature in the room IS about room temp (70 degrees) so if you are or are raising a snowflake... Do not enter... you might melt. Low quality in what way Mr Deadpool? The place is well organized, the shelves are modern, clean and not some wired shelving. I would only place Borderlands (only the top dog in the area) above it. Easy to scan. New, new books to the left, issues that are recent as you go deeper, and back issues there beyond. They usually have new books that other shops in the area pull for subscribing die-hards and/or are sold out of. The place is small, sure. But they're expanding... and what's your ideal state? LESS comic book stores? You want eBay as THE source for your hobby? Knock yourself out, man... Planet comics is my go-to for new/recent comics. I go to Borderlands for the experience, and I go to Richard's for back issues and to talk comics. They're all valuable vendors and members of the community.

So many unique comics, cards, gift items and old record albums are nicely placed throughout the store. Prices vary but appear to be reasonable. Even a refrigerator with cold water and drinks starting at 99 cents was darn cheap. A must place to visit with kids who are into the above and graphic novels. Nostalgic for adults and a good place to eyeball the current value of your comic collection.

The staff and owner are so knowledgeable and friendly - it was great chatting them up as they sized up my very random collection. They had lots of good advice about collecting vintage toys and the store is just incredible, like a museum of every 70's-through-modern toy you can imagine: comic book toys, movie toys, transformers, GI Joe, Masters of the Universe, Ninja Turtles...etc etc etc. You'll 100% find something you forgot existed. It made for a great trip for me and my dad, I was glad to trade in my old toys to experts who will give them a new home. Can't wait to attend one of their conventions this year.
