This is a regular stop for us on the way from Texas to Destin. The roast beef poboy is delicious with the gravy. The real reason for stopping is the banana caramel pie though! It's heavenly! Everyone is so nice here- two years in a row, we have stopped late in the afternoon and they have offered to make a banana Carmel pie for us since they had sold out! Thanks for the delicious pie and being part of our family tradition!

I love this place! Such a good place to get your porous sandwiches soups salads cakes and pies! Delicious and everything hand made. An old timer restaurant tucked away in the middle of the heart of Monroe ! A hidden gem with a style that will take you back to the past. Beautiful art and beautiful pies! Delicious food

    Banana caramel pie!!

We try to stop here on our way to and from Florida every summer! The roast beef poboy and the banana caramel pie are the best!! This year my husband had the peach cream pie-- so delicious. The nicest people own this little gem and we love to stop here and see them on our summer vacations!

Absolutely ridiculous how good this place is... Why can't South Florida offer places like these? Well that's a lie. There are plenty of places where you can find a decent pie along with your meal. BUT NOT LIKE THIS! Ridiculously good pies, all of them are delicious. And if you want other things. They also serve 'Not Just Pie'. And the food is very good, too. But I'll always come back here for the pie, and maybe more than one or two slices.

Banana caramel pie was to die for.

This stop was just for pie, and I must say I was not disappointed. The reviews raved about the banana caramel pie which did not disappoint! It was fresh sliced bananas topped with what tasted like homemade caramel, whipped cream, and some cruchy bits. The crust was amazing and held together. I will definitely go back, and next time I'll grab some lunch too. Or maybe just multiple pieces of pie!

One of the best savory pies I've had in a long time. The Steak and Stout . That had a stand at the Markers Craft Beers in Norfolk.

That was a great first impression. And then our server greeted us by asking which of us was celebrating her birthday. I'll assume that was a brainfart or a failure to read the reservation notes, but I wondered briefly whether he assumed two women dining together wouldn't be celebrating an anniversary. We started with drinks; she had a 1988 (a variation on a French Blond, but named as a tribute to the year the Women's Business Ownership Act allowed the owner to go into business for herself) and I had a Royal Navy (a zero-proof cocktail with delicious herbal and citrus flavors). They were both outstanding. The cheese board, listed as the chef's selection of 4 cheeses and housemade crostini, also included a cube of guava jelly as lagniappe. The kitchen sent it out without crostini, and our server (not one of their regular servers, I guessed) didn't tell us what any of the cheeses were. This baffled me; when we ordered it the server actually explained what 'crostinis' (sic) meant, as if we were unfamiliar with the term. Whatever they were, they were tasty, and lucky for us none was soft enough to need a platform. My wife says her jumbo shrimp skewers were great and she loved the chimichurri enough to take it home for later. My market salad ("local lettuce mix, rotating summer veg & dressing") was a perfect example of quality over quantity: pecans, crumbled cheese, fresh berries, and raspberry vinaigrette on leaf lettuce. Eight beautiful, tender pieces of lettuce. So I certainly had room for dessert. And the dessert was a real treat: a three-inch peach caramel tart, an anniversary gift to us. We enjoyed it and had an enlightening conversation with the charming GM, who confirmed my suspicions that the uneven experience was a result of another staff member stepping in to cover for a server. If Apero fits your budget once in a while, give it a try. They're likely to delight you. (But if you're used to larger portions, you might want to have a bit of a snack first.)

Apero - These shishito peppers are hands down their top two items in my opinion. The best I've ever had, and I've had them all over Honolulu.

Second time here and still delicious…read more We tried to go Friday and the parking was insane, that's probably my only complaint about the entire experience . We started with the upside down chicken Caesar salad with fries. Delicious. Fries could've been hotter but the salad was the star. A meal on its own but i love that red fish so much. So seasoned, beautiful meaty fish, mmm. The service was wonderful and the sweet tea was delicious. I will always come here if I'm in town!

The music playing was very fun and the workers were extremely welcoming. However, given that it's near the river, it would be nice if they considered having outdoor tables, but it doesn't seem like there is much to see either way. We all got various cocktails, and I would highly recommend the lemonade if you really like something sweet. My table and I shared the duck wraps. they were filled with cream cheese jalapeño, and was wrapped in bacon. It was slightly sweet, which I didn't entirely prefer, but it was still very tasty and a unique dish that I would recommend everyone to try. I personally got A Burger and it was much larger than I thought it would be. It was very tasty, but it didn't have much sauce so it was slightly dry. The rest of my table got various seafood dishes, and they had very large portions. They all mentioned how well seasoned everything was. The one caveat of this restaurant was that everything took so long to get to our table. our waitress also didn't come check on us after delivering our food until it was time to pay, which was unfortunate.
