Wonderful service! Romantic and intimate ambiance. Food was good. &They had a good selection of Wine. Parking was a bit difficult so we parked in the plaza across the street. Make reservations! Merci beaucoup!

I went with my daughter upon a recommendation from a staff member at our hotel accommodation. We were a bit underdressed and they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation. The restaurant is beautiful, sophisticated and looked perfect for a date night. We started with grilled bread with garlic confit. It may have looked a bit sad on the plate but was delicious. I had the Alberta Beef Burger and opted for a salad. Both were good; the burger was a bit over cooked and over salted to my taste but the salad was deliciously dressed and had the surprise of pickled onion. My daughter had the smoked salmon with capers and she ate the entire meal minus the capers. It also was wine Wednesday where I indulged myself in drinking an entire bottle of wine at half price. Don't worry we walked from our hotel. Our server had quite a few tables and still made us feel well handled. She was great.

Went for lunch! Amazing! Not busy! Mateas our waiter was super awesome! Very helpful with choosing our wine & food! They have the best mussels I've had in Calgary so far! & I eat out a lot!!!

Went to Calgary on business and someone recommended NOtaBLE when I said I like to eat farm-to-table, nutrient rich food. Arrived starving because it was 6 pm and I only had a light breakfast that day. The location threw me off a little but as soon as I stepped in the vibe changed... in a good way. I loved seating close to the grill and feel the heat of the flames and the completely open kitchen. Dining alone can be boring but not at this place! I ordered a Lemon Drop and it was good, not the best I ever had but nicely balanced. I had trouble deciding wether to have a beef entree or the salmon. I learned that even though the salmon they use is raised, it is local and raised with room to swim in a natural environment. I decided to have the salmon mostly because the other ingredients and interesting flavors caught my attention. My fish came super quickly and it was very nicely presented! but the flavor of the various ingredients was underwhelming. It was much lighter and bland that I imagined it would be when I read the menu. Don't get me wrong, It was good, just not as flavorful as I thought it would be. So clearly, and for all of the above, I had to order dessert, (and if you order dessert, you need coffee too). Mr. Warm Chocolate Pudding with salted caramel ice cream had me at "warm"... no brainer. And this time there was no lack of flavor. The thing was pretty big, and rich, and fluffy with gooey yumminess in the middle, and sinful and delicious, and I may have cleaned the plate. And this may have ended my no-sugar hiatus but who cares! The service was OUTSTANDING! Yeah, you know... Canadians are so ridiculously nice! Cliche but true.

Even though it was a set menu for Valentine's Day the food was delicious and cooked properly. The service was awesome.

I miss the old Notables. The old menu and the service that was by far the best in the city.

I can't say enough about Porch! Such good food, and the ambiance is stunning. Especially for a nice…read moredinner with friends or if you're trying to impress a date. Their salmon was fantastic. I'm always scared it's going to be overcooked, because at many restaurants the fish usually is, but this was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. The bed of veggies underneath had a really nice, subtle flavor that complemented the fish without overpowering it. I also ordered their banana cocktail, which honestly surprised me. I didn't think I would ever like banana in a cocktail, but it was absolute heaven. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. One of those drinks you think about ordering again halfway through. For food, I also had the braised short ribs, and they were excellent. Super tender, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of those comforting dishes that still feels elevated and well executed. The decor deserves its own mention. The space is warm, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, and there's an actual live tree inside the restaurant, which is such a cool touch. You can already tell this place must be incredible in the summer when everything is open and lively. Overall, Porch delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere. Easily a spot I'd come back to, whether for dinner, drinks, or a special night out.

We were originally going to another brunch spot but they were way too busy so we looked up more…read moreoptions on Yelp and came across Porch. We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.
