We had dinner at Pat & Betty on our first night in Calgary, and it was a great start to our trip. Our waitress was extremely friendly and sweet. The restaurant has a nice covered patio area, making it a great place to eat with our dog. The food was phenomenal! We ordered three dishes and were completely stuffed after dinner. Every dish was cooked perfectly, with well-balanced flavors and perfect seasoning. Every dish was 10/10! Highly highly recommend Humbolt Squid Rigatoni Pork & Scallops

Just freaking great! Loved this spot. All the dishes we got were excellent. Portions were all very generous. The standouts were the Beef Tartare, Pork Belly and Scallops. Service was top notch. Vibe was cool. Will be back!

Food/Ambiance/Service Great food - ode to my Dad & Mom (Betty & Pat). Had to go for the namesake. Hidden small gem. Really unique - open kitchen. Sat at the bar, seating upstairs & down was nice/intimate. Glad we experienced - worth a visit!!!

A couple of very creative martinis to start our dining experience.

In Calgary for the lovely K's Christmas party we decided to make a weekend of it in Cowtown's frigid -20 Celsius and colder weather. Pat & Betty's warm and dark decor was perfect for the cold evening outside. We got there quite late, due to travel delays which scuttled our original plans. We couldn't have stumbled upon a better place to enjoy some late evening fare! We arrived an hour and a bit prior to closing, but enjoyed a leisurely dining experience that will certainly have us visiting again. The service and food were top notch! Our server was knowledgeable about the food and helped us navigate the menu to our delight. The martini to start was a great choice after a six hour flying experience from YVR. Everything after that was no less than exceptional, from the caviar topped oyster, to the pâté, the arancini, and finishing with the foie gras. We can only thank the staff and direction of the business, for making an otherwise forgettable day of travel, a great dining experience.

Atmosphere is fun. We were able to try many different dishes here and some that were 100% worth coming back for was the: Pork belly and scallops (ask for extra potato purée) everything about this dish is perfection!!! The fois gras is one or the best I've had in Calgary especially with their berry sauce it cuts through that fat Some of the improvements I would like to see is: Their baked oysters tasted like those frozen mini pepperoni pizzas because they put bell peppers and pepperoni on it (weird combo) Their pasta was on the harder side and not al dente. But the sauce was great The lobster was undercooked for us so it was not worth the money. The burrata and olives they used a very hard baguette type of bread that would almost break anyones veneers. It was quite burnt and very hard.

I really don't mean to seem ungrateful but this feels like an unfair exchange between my card and quality food. I purchased their seafood lasagna and it was very underwhelming, the smallest portion and I didn't even finish it. Kinda feel like I've been bamboozled. Ambiance is cool, and the staff is moderately friendly, (that's the only reason I don't just rate this a single star) but the quality of food based off the meal I just had is far below its price point. Maybe they've got other things on the menu worth trying, but the seafood lasagna is not one of them.

Top marks for Ambience, delightful wait staff, knowledgeable and attentive ! The food is delish and very well presented - highly recommend not one to be missed if you are in the area - just a 15 minute walk from downtown it's a must !

The food was amazing! Started with the steak tartare and had the pork belly scallops and pasta for main dishes!

My visit was solid. I'd do it again. I might bring a friend next time. Maybe my mom. Go and try it.

Really cute little place! Reminds me of Paris. They are very accommodating & flexible. The food was absolutely fantastic & Justin was very knowledgeable! Asked to be seated on the patio & they were very happy & willing to move us. The place is very noisy though but given that it's small.

I've probably had 10 different dishes, and not a single one was less than stellar. Such rich flavours. Great ambience and service too.

Lovely pours of interesting wines, fine specialty cocktails, a bunch of shared plates that included flatbreads, olives, charcuterie, cheese and ultimately a couple of dozen oysters that disappeared almost before the server was able to make it back to the kitchen. What's more to like? Especially nice touches on the oysters that sat on a bed of sea salt with toppings available that included fermented horseradish, a nicely seasoned jalapeno puree and a red wine reduction to perk up the briny little invertebrates. Yum. We did not mess around, spared no overindulgences (burp) and still barely managed to spend $300. Yes, that's a lot of money, but when something is this well put together, very well worth the price in my opinion. And when you're spending that much, any sin gets pointed out in great detail. No such issue. Love to return here and concur with fellow Yelpers the strong rating for this venue. Highly recommended.

We were greeted by a group of bartenders (who all happened to be wearing toques) when we walked in, and I felt both welcomed and slightly out of place (no toque). The cocktails were meticulously crafted--priced at $15-20 a drink, it's on par with bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, but they also live up to the standard. Honestly, the highlight of our visit to Missy's was the Missy's This That charcuterie board. Each piece of cured meat was sliced impossibly thin, the olives were meaty and delicious, and the cheeses were carefully selected to complement everything. I loved that it also came with a side of thick cut bread and pickled vegetables. One of the best charcuterie boards I've had at a restaurant for sure. Not cheap but worth the pretty penny on a slightly fancy night out.

The offered drinks and served us and offered pleasant conversation. Our party arrived and we moved to our table. Unfortunately they did not carry the glasses to the table which were filled with paid sparkling water. Instead offered more for purchase and new glasses. Not professional. We also realized quite quickly our waitress must be new. She had none of the answers to the menu questions we asked. In top of the slow and poor service the noice level between the music and the other guest was mind numbing. They must do something about the sound that carries in the room. Not one person at our table finished or enjoyed the food. We feel the chef must have overpowered everything with salt. This was a fail. 3 starts for the nice staff

When they served the dish, I was disappointed to find out it was over-cooked to medium. After asking the waitress to reorder the steak, it still came back as medium with just the middle section to be medium rare. Since the other four people already finished their meal, I quickly finished half of it. The manager came over to ask about the steak, but did not really apologized for overcooking this $55 CAN steak. Definitely not recommend coming to this place for steak.

Oakley was our server and he was so kind and informative about the menu and how the restaurant operates. The oyster of the week were the Melpeque's which starts off salty, but compensates the saline flavor with a boom of sea mineral richness. Their house relish and vinegar combined with the oysters intensified the experience and we also had to get the Oysters Florentine which were also decadent and cheesy in the best way possible. Oakley checked in on use occasionally and was also kind enough to give us (since we're Californians) some of the usual things that take place in Calgary (weather, places to check out and etc.) Definitely returning here if we make another trip to Calgary, shout out to Oakley!

When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted right away but even though we had reservations there was some talk about where to sit us. The main dining was near full and so they offered patio or upstairs. It would be more private upstairs as there was no one up there but they warned us that service was slow. Eventually, they sat us in a booth in the main dining area but it was touch and go in the beginning. Not a great impression. Our server mentioned to us that he was new. We found him very friendly and knowledgeable. We came here for the oysters - we ordered 1 Irish Point, 1 Fanny Bay and 2 Malpeque (I wanted to try one). The Malpeque also was the feature Oyster which means they are $1.50 each. I don't usually eat oysters but thought it was good. My wife says the Irish Point and Fanny Bay were good. Because the Malpeque was good and really meaty we ordered 7 more (I wanted one more). Oysters 5* Lamb Shank 4* - Wife ordered this and said it was tender and good. Lamb Burger 2* - Daughter ordered this and patty was small and dry. Lobster Pasta 4* - Son ordered this and lobster tail was meaty and sweet ad pasta was tender. I decided to order 3 appetizers for my meal. Onion Rings - 3* - basic Korean Spicy Chicken Wings 4* - Good kick, but the wings were not that meaty. Seafood Chowder 4* - Lots of things in the chowder. Broth was flavourful but could have been thicker. Service before we got our meals (ordering) and during our meal was great. 5*.
