We texted around 8am with our details and requested "this evening at 7:30pm". and I was told I was "confirmed". I told her we had pets and to let me know if I should put them away, she said "we love animals!" So far, so good. We scheduled dinner so that we'd be done right at 7:30. By 7:44, no one had showed up. I texted to ask if they were still coming, no response. It's now almost 8:30pm and they still haven't responded. It's wild that of all services, a mobile notary would completely ghost you. These are time sensitive documents and I'm just really disappointed in this company. Will not be using again. Amended. Rachel reached out to remedy the situation and went above and beyond to fix it. Had to amend this a second time. We rescheduled to the next day and we got ghosted again. I just can't rightly give this place a positive review, and would hate for others to get caught up in the mix of her scheduling woes. Need to warn people off of this company. I had important documents including a driver's license that needed to be shipped to my son in England, which I sent to be held for pick up. When my son arrived at the pick-up location, he was told by the staff in England that there was a special code he needed or they couldn't release the package (it was sent no signature required, addressed to him, and he had ID.) Knowing how impossible Fed Ex is to deal with, I went in person to Studio City Mailboxes to ask for help. One of the two employees on duty spent over an hour working with me on this before calling Michelle, the manager, who remembered me sending the package and said she would work on it even though she was not presently on duty in the store. It took several days to resolve because no one but Michelle and the staff at Studio City Mailboxes seemed to care or be willing to make any effort to resolve the issue. Michelle spent DAYS contacting Fed Ex, keeping me informed of her process, and even called my son in England to make sure he was ultimately successful picking up his package. Michelle then gave me a courtesy refund of the $70 charge for Fed Ex. I hope that Studio City Mailboxes was not out of pocket for the time and effort they made to resolve an important issue. This is what customer service by humans, not a chatbot, looks like. Both Michelle and her colleague understood the problem (which was not of their making) and the importance of correcting it, and did everything they could think of until it was resolved. They easily could have shrugged and given me the phone number for Fed Ex (which no human answers) but they never put it on me to solve this or to pay for inadequate service. I've been coming to Studio City Mailboxes for years, I've seen the staff, especially Michelle, deal with difficult customers and frustrating situations, and staff has always been courteous, professional, and proactive. They responded to my initial inquiry very quickly, communicated clearly throughout the process, and knew exactly what was required based on the instructions I provided. They arrived on time, texted beforehand to let us know they were on their way, and provided an accurate arrival time so no one was left waiting or wondering what was happening. They also offer a delivery service and were able to securely take the completed documents to the nearest post office and mail them on our behalf, which was incredibly convenient. From printing the documents and traveling to the residence, to completing the notarization and making the additional trip to the post office, the total cost was only a little over $100.
