Went to Studio City Mailboxes and More for the first time today and had a great experience. We were getting a trust notarized but were missing a page that is required by California law. Nazareth recognized that it was missing and provided us with a copy with the appropriate language. He could have easily charged us for this and we would have happily paid, but it was on the house. Michelle, the store manager, went above and beyond assisting me. I had a letter that needed to be sent certified mail overnight and it was deemed undeliverable. It is imperative that I have proof that the letter was postmarked by the due date. She printed out the history of the failed attempts by FedEx and got the letter back to me promptly. Small store, the parking lot is a tad difficult, they share it with USPS next door. The only complaint, oh well! We used Mailboxes and More on and off for years to ship things that were more special and more delicate. A major plus, they wrap gifts here as well, they have a great selection of wrapping paper and bows and they do a great job decorating a gift box for somebody special. So you get your gift wonderfully wrapped, then, they mail it for you. We did ship to US and internationally from here, they were always super nice and efficient and did an amazing job wrapping the gift! They are closed on Sundays and work half of day on Saturday. Easy to find, on Laurel Canyon, close to Ventura blvd. Great place to have around, a nice option for shipping! read more

Wonderful service and helpful staff. I usually drop off my packages here, UPS, FedEx and DHL, very quick and convenient. Last time I had to ship my item 40" tall and 20" wide. I was super nervous about shipping but Michelle did a fantastic job with wrapping. She is patient with me and making sure that I'm satisfied with the wrapping and their price is great. My boss has had a mailbox here for years- I've been his exec asst for 12 of those years. I loved this place until Michelle, the reluctant to help and often rude manager, came in. I've experienced her dismissive and often defensive behavior for a few years now. Many of us that live in Studio City have been here for years, and we are all neighbors and extended family - and many of those who have mailboxes here have gotten into some altercation with Michelle, or have felt insulted, rushed or invalidated. I have always hoped that the next time I come in to ship packages, Michelle would have a smile. But it has never gotten better. It's not like she just had a bad day- She's literally been in a foul mood since I've met her. Michelle does not seem to like her job, she's short with her employees in front of customers, she is unhelpful when an issue arises with a package or mail, and she seems to take genuine customer concerns like they are a personal attack against her. I can only imagine that if she is this shaming and unkind towards others, the emotional abuse she puts on herself must be like a prison. Today, my 72 yr old boss went to see for himself today, after I told him how she had been so unhelpful with tracking some Christmas packages to Europe. He stopped by to get stamps and a Holiday Card and watched in utter shock as Michelle was snappy with employees, who he said looked miserable, and even rolled her eyes and grumbled while on the phone with a customer who was having an issue. He has a few months left with this mailbox co and he's already asked me to find another place, as he doesn't want to give his money this business, because of how rude and unhelpful the manager is to me, him and seemingly many others. Her presence makes for a really uncomfortable and disheartening trip to a paid mailbox service! I wish Michelle would find a line of work she loved - like maybe parking police? - that might be more suited for her personality. I would not recommend this mailbox co to anyone unless they find new management and bring in a kind human to at least be pleasant! There are many people who need jobs that would be over the moon with the opportunity to work in her position. Michelle really seems like she hates her job and all the people that come with it. There are many other mailbox services near by that are deserving of business. read more

Extremely helpful, affordable, and way better than the Post Office (which is awkwardly right next door). I always feel like this place is some crazy secret that no one knows about, and then I go there and I remember that it literally shares a parking lot with the Post Office (which is terrible, by the way.) And I think to myself, "Why do people still go to the Post Office?" This place is better in every way than the post office. Plus, you can do everything you can do at the Post Office here, and you won't have to wait in line. And you won't have to get super frustrated. It's just better. They are always extremely helpful, every time I stop in here. They always have recommendations on the best/least expensive way for me to ship something. Plus, they sell all of the shipping materials that you will need. It really feels like a "one stop shop." Everyone who works here is very friendly, and always seems to be in a good mood. The one downside is the parking. There are a limited number of spots, and it can be difficult to make your way into/out of the parking lot. I want thank Mila. I lost my key to our business mailbox. I asked for if she can open our mailbox. Here's the thing, I know I'm authorized to have access to our mailbox but she doesn't. I appreciate that she didn't just take my word for it to avoid the uncomfortable "policy explaining why she can't" and open the box without making sure I am authorized to have access. I didn't fight her when she explained what I need to do to gain access because she was doing her job. Very courteous and polite in explaining to me the policy. In the end she was able to get in touch with our business and find out I was allowed. She could've easily just sent me on my way without helping me, but she didn't. Thank you!! read more

Great spot for gettin all your mail needs completed...I've been a box renter here for about 5 years and it's great because for business it gives you an actual address instead of the whole PO box number thingy. The service here is great and the boxes start at $54 for 3 months, so it's a very good deal. My homies Gavri, John, and Andy hook me up with the bomb service be it mailing bulky packages or signing off on a notary for me....Yea they have on-site notaries isn't that great. and if you have a box here all shipping items, stamps, etc. are 15 percent off now beat that. It's right next to the Studio City Post Office so you know your package will get to it's destination. One of the best things is when you get a package delivered they email you with the time of arrival so you know exactly when to go pick it up. They have nighttime access as well via the automatic door sensor that comes with your box key. The great thing about it as well is when the post office is crowded you can just go across the parking lot (20 ft.) to this place and get the same service without the hassle. they also have a gift wrapping service with over 50 patterns and ribbons and if you have a box here it's FREE! One more thing if you're going out of town for awhile they'll forward your mail for you for as long as you want isn't that crazy. So if you're in the valley and you want your mail coming to an anonymous address other than your dwelling this the place to get your mail fix. read more

This place is a joke. I only came here instead of the post office because only their parking spaces were available and i didn't want to get towed. I had a book I was sending media mail (after buying the mailer from them the total was 10 bucks to send one book, so i was already doing business there) anyway I also wanted to drop off 2 small packages since I was already there, but both of the very small boxes i wanted to send were still open, so the job would require 2 pieces of their highly coveted mailing tape. I asked the lady if she could tape them up for me real quick so i could leave them with her to send out. She said it would be a dollar. Each. So one five inch piece of mailing tape would cost a dollar. I said ok pass and went next door to tape them for free. I came back to drop the UPS box off and the one employee was busy with a customer yet never said "i'll be right with you" "can i help you" nothing. so i interrupted them after a few minutes and asked if they took UPS and she mumbled yes. I put my box down next to her and, this is not a joke, said "if you want a receipt, it's a dollar." LOL read more

I drop off packages here multiple times a week. Everyone that works there is very nice and accommodating, and some go above and beyond. There is one woman in particular who is wonderful, and I have lost her card so I don't remember her name! But I will edit and update when I go back. Pros: Great Service, Beats Line next door, Free Designated Parking, Mailboxes are conveniently located towards the back of the store, they have stayed opened those last 10 minutes after closing to help me out with my packages. Cons: The parking gets HECTIC, difficult to turn left on laurel canyon, a little over-priced for stamps. I really wish stamps were cheaper, but we pay the price to save time, which essentially beats those couple cents for convenience, no complaints here. I do appreciate this mom and pop shop. read more

I held a private mailbox here from January 2012 to October 2015 and during that time had nothing but great things to say about the business and the people working there- they were always friendly and helpful, knew me by name, and helped me carry things when I was on crutches with an injury. My experience after leaving was downright ridiculous, not to mention illegal, where they held my mail for months and refused to return it to sender or forward it, even when I offered to pay for it. I understand that they went through some management changes and the new managers don't value customer service like the previous ones. Beware that because this is a private mailbox service and not a postal service they feel free to bend and break the rules. I cannot recommend anyone having a mailbox here. read more

Had a mailbox here for 2 years. Everything was great until they got a new employee for Christmas rush. Last week he lost track of a box with $3,000 of gold bullion in it. I had to PROVE they signed for it before he reluctantly went and got it. This week, he had a full-on screaming fit because I took my mask off in the store (it steamed up my glasses and I had it in my hand), freaked out on me and said if I ever went back there he'd close my box. (I was calm and polite the whole time, I don't like to get in screaming matches with store clerks). Then he wouldn't give me two packages whose Tracking Number tickets were in my mailbox, because he insisted I already got them last week - even though the tickets weren't there then. So I guess they're keeping my boxes now too (fortunately just some cheap stuff from Walmart this time, luckily). NOT RECOMMENDED read more

I'm so impressed with this place that I almost want to just hang out there. If they put in a coffee stand I might just do that. I have been a customer at two different times in my life, based on where I lived. And both times my experience has been the same. Amazing. It took literally one visit for the staff to know my name. They look out for my mail and packages, and the service is just outstanding. I've used them for shipping, for notary services, and for just everyday mail, and I can't say enough about how great they are. The pricing is very reasonable and once you're using it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it - it takes just ONE TIME of not having to go to the USPS all the way in Hollywood (or worse the UPS way up the 170) to make this service totally worth it. If you need a mailbox (and let's face it, with all the mail theft in LA, who doesn't?) this is the place to go. They have their own little parking lot but it's shared with the USPS so it does get busy. You can still park right in front in a non-spot and get in and out quickly though. They're open every day but Sunday and have someone there 9 until 6 weekdays and earlier (4) on Saturday but that doesn't matter--you can come in like a ninja at all hours of the night to get your mail. You can't confine yourself to normal business hours and they don't make you. Think of it like your home away from home. And I assume they're working on that coffee thing, right? :) read more

I was frustrated with the US Post Office next door when I was told that they could not help me tape a box on "One Side" (12 inches) and that I would have to pay almost $5 for a tape role or use their "Priority Mail tape" and pay 3 times the amount for shipping that I did not need and they did not have a 12-16" common box that I needed to ship. As I was getting in my car to leave I looked over and was reminded about to Studio City Mailboxes & More next door and decided to have them help me. I haven't been here in a couple of years and What a Dramatically Great improvement they have made there and I noticed that the PO Box section is nice and clean as is the entire store and very well thought out and organized. The staff there greeted me this morning and was very polite and when I was purchasing an envelope for 49 cents and did not have anything smaller than the $20 bill - they gave me a business card for myself and 2 business cards and said "Rather than trying to give you change for this purchase - We'd like to give you this envelope - complementary and would appreciate your mentioning us to two other people." I was pleasantly surprised by this and as a Marketer I told them that this was the best 49 cents that they ever spent and I even came back a half hour later and decided to ship my box with them INSTEAD of the Post Office. Lohen was very helpful and even showed me the computer screen of my shipment and they have a cool software program that uses Google maps I think to show the street address of the shipment and a street view of the building that it's going to which I think is brilliant because if you ever have any doubt that you are shipping to a legitimate business - THIS is a great tool to help you decide. Lohen gave me the shipping and pricing options and patiently waited as I called my wife to confirm that zip code and choice of shipping. Lohen then finished up and then had me look at the computer screen to confirm he typed in the information correctly - BRILLIANT! This dramatically alleviates inadvertent typing errors on both the Customer part (my wife's "S" looked exactly like a "5" ) and this is what great Customer Service is about!! I told Lohen that they are doing things right there (As a former corporate trainer for sales and service I Really Know First-hand) -so without a doubt I can say that to Studio City Mailboxes & More is BETTER than the US Post Office and if you live within 10 miles and need to ship right away - Go There First! Above and beyond - very helpful, courteous and speedy. This review is for the Notary Public services at Studio City Mailboxes and More. I have been in twice to have passport documents notarized. The first time I went in Ramnik was very helpful, friendly and even though it was a bit past the cut-off for notary services, he graciously and quickly took care of me. The second time I went in, the other Notary was not available, and I was in a big hurry to get this done. Well the clerk said he could see if Ramnik could come in, on his day off, to help me. Well, within about 15min he drove to a nearby coffee shop where we met and took care of the paperwork. He even waived one of the fees for me and I was able to pay by credit card using Square on his smart phone. Thank you Ramnik from the guy on the Motorcycle with Pink hair :-D read more

Sent 3 packages over a month ago Internationally and received a call yesterday saying that one had just been returned. Two of the packages had the exact same contents, and were going to two similar addresses in the UK, however one became undeliverable. After asking why that had happened, I received a run-around answer and no helpful solutions from the staff. The packages were going to Talent and thus were time sensitive and very important they arrived at the same time. Furthermore, for gift wrapping 3 small packages, sending 2 of those internationally and 1 locally, it was over $200. I ended up shipping out the returned package myself yesterday afternoon and after 1 day, it is already almost to its UK destination without a problem. I would NOT recommend their shipping services to anyone - and I'm sure there are many more gift wrapping services available in the area at a much cheaper price. read more

Sent time sensitive material via fedex which was delayed 1 day in Memphis. I called Fedex and spoke directly to their revenue department. I was told it qualifies for their money back guarantee but that Studio City Mailboxes must call. When I called Michelle I was accused of making this story up. She refused to pursue a refund. She claims she will call Fedex to confirm her side of the story that she was right and we were wrong. So if you want to face time sensitive material getting lost and no compensation, this is the place for you. read more
