There was a bar, we did trivia, and not to mention the jaw dropping views of the mountains in the distance. Super homey and warm vibe to everything here. ----- Concise Review…read more Wonderful wedding + reception ----- Longer Review We traveled to South Tamworth, New Hampshire, by way of Boston, MA and then North Conway, NH, for the wedding of our niece to her husband. The trip was brief - Thursday evening to Sunday, but filled with family and fun. Our niece and (now) nephew selected whiteface hollow for the wedding and reception. whiteface hollow - a fantastic barn + house + winery in South Tamworth, NH. The wedding ceremony was outside, in the field, under a large maple tree, and the reception was in the barn. The property has parking in an open space amid trees... the sky is visible but the trees also provide shading to keep the intense heat off the vehicles. The property has a gentle hillside, leading to the grape vines, with a beautiful view of the White Mountains off in the distance... the view was beautiful in the afternoon and phenomenal with that night's sunset! The owner shared that the barn is original wood - interior... the floors and walls are new boards created when they brought a saw mill onsite to cut the wood from trees on the property. The barn had plenty of room for the 18 tables for guests + a dance floor for all of us.. with space for food, and the bar downstairs, and two spaces upstairs (no walls, but balcony rails). Speaking of the bar... they served inside and also through a window to the outside... the blueberry lemonade is very tasty! The winery isn't producing yet but the building is there, and we enjoyed brunch the next morning - nice! And the painting of the property over the bar is wonderful artwork. The owner and her crew were great... so helpful; we were guests so we didn't have the stress, but we could see things were well planned and executed smoothly. The B&B itself was beautifully lit up, and we loved that they do this for free for the town of Bethlehem - it was a great atmosphere, with kids having fun and everyone polite and having a good time. The Inn was built in 1909 by Thomas Edison. Yes that Thomas Edison, the one who invented the lightbulb. The Inn has so much character it's pure eye candy for those who appreciate the fine craftsmanship of classic furniture, decor and interior design. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, the biggest room with a king size bed and infamously know to have housed Joe DiMaggio and Marylyn Monroe back in the day. The owners were super accommodating and Dave cooked us one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

Les & Ed have a low-key, relaxed style of hospitality. They had suggestions about local attractions, timing, and travel routes. We loved hearing about the history of the Inn and the surrounding area. Their two dogs are enthusiastic greeters. As others have noted, do not go expecting TV and wifi. This is a different kind of experience. It was serene and peaceful. Just what we needed.

Absolutely LOVED this place!!…read more i've never been to a b&b before, so this was our first time. We brought our puppy here, and they are SUPER dog friendly! The owners have a couple of dogs of their own, and another couple was here with their dog. This place is super cute and homey-there's paintings, stuffed animals (for humans and dogs), inviting couches, decorative rooms, a big backyard for our dogs to do their business (we didn't even have to pick up after them, since someone else does that for us)-great since it snowed several inches the night before!! We came in at night, and just sat back with some drinks and hung out with everyone as our dogs socialized, too. Our puppy loved this place, as he was free to wander around and have some fun! That made us super happy, too :). This place also includes a home cooked breakfast, and free wifi. Sweeeet!

I'm glad I booked it blindly, otherwise the distance would have discouraged me from coming here. The owners love dogs and make you feel at home. They have a couple of their own dogs too. There's a backyard where you can open the door and let your dog pee and poop. For my first experience at a B&B, I loved it.
