We used Noteable Events as our wedding (8/12/2017) caterer through our venue, the Gardens of Woodstock. I cannot say enough good things about Ann and her team. Leading up to the wedding: Ann was extremely quick to respond to any and all emails I sent her. I usually heard from her within 24 hours but she would let me know if she wouldn't be able to respond until a certain time. Her emails were so detail oriented and thorough. Any questions I asked, she was able to help right away. Her team can pretty much make anything you ask for and they will completely customize a menu for you. For example, my two favorite desserts that I was dying to have at my wedding were apple pie & ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. They were able to do both for me & some of the best I've ever had! We did our food tasting at their Lombard location and it was perfect. The place settings were used were exactly what we were going to use the day of the wedding & all of the food was exactly the same as we would have. And our tastings weren't just little bites! It was a total meal and we even got to take the leftovers home!! We also picked out linens during our tasting and she has a wide selection of included linens! I was so impressed with the choices I had that were not any additional cost!! We chose to do white linens because my wedding was an all white wedding, but we did add a lace overlay to the head table. We also chose to do a buffet dinner with a beef carving station at no additional charge. We had 4 passed appetizers and a dessert buffet AND a late night snack of a Chicago style hot dog buffet!! The Wedding Day: Gina--the catering captain is simply amazing. Since we were doing a buffet, I had asked her if we could have our napkins folded in a specific way to put menu cards and flowers in and she and her team did it without any hesitation. My tables looked so incredibly beautiful! They turned on all of my lanterns, helped set up my centerpieces, and lit all of my votive candles! Gina even put a few chocolate covered strawberries right at my place setting to make sure I got some because she knew they were my favorite. I couldn't believe the amount of detail and attention they paid to everything. I was so incredibly impressed! Because of the size of our wedding and layout, we had the two buffet tables set up on the dance floor but the line went SOO quickly! After everyone was through the line once, they broke down one table and combined the two for another 45 minutes so people could get up and get more food. All of our guests had at LEAST 2nds and some people even got up for 3rds and extra desserts!! They even helped clean up at the end of the night and put everything in one spot for us to take home later. The Noteable Events team is truly incredible and so happy to help in any way they can. They want to make sure your day is perfect and ours truly was. I cannot believe how many guests at our wedding RAVED about the food and how much they ate! I've never felt such a personal connection to a catering company before, but I truly felt like Noteable Events knew us and knew exactly what we wanted and they really provided a stellar experience for us. So we were a little leery when we found our our venue only worked with one caterer--Noteable Events, but let me tell you WOW WOW WOW. Not only were they super easy to work with, but the food was PHENOMENAL--and that's an understatement. During our tasting, we went with the 3 stations (Italian, Carvery & Dessert). It was just me, my fiance and my mom for the tasting, and wow, the amount of food we took home, it lasted us a week! Everything we tried was delicious--and I mean everything. And the presentation of each dish was so beautiful. You could really tell the love and passion that went into creating each course. And they took detailed notes to make sure to have it exactly as we wanted for our wedding day. Tony and his team made sure our wedding day food went perfectly. They brought appetizers to the bridal suite for me and my husband after our ceremony and it was so nice to be able to relax and eat without getting pulled in a million directions. And for dinner, oh man, you could smell the chefs cooking wafting from the tent into the gardens and every single guest told us how wonderful everything was. And they were so accommodating to guests with food sensitivities or making a custom dish for someone if needed. I'll tell you what, they certainly put on a fantastic spread with a ton of options and if I had to do it all again, I would absolutely book with Noteable Events. I might have to order some of what we had at the wedding just because it was so darn good!! read more

We had an amazing experience with Noteable Events and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! From start to finish, the staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and their positive attitudes made a big difference throughout the day. Cocktail hour was a huge success thanks to the delicious passed appetizers. There was a great variety, and they were served frequently, so our guests were never left waiting or wondering if they had missed out. Everyone commented on how tasty they were, and it was the perfect start to the evening. My family was exceptionally happy with the food and staff provided by Noteable Events for our daughter's backyard wedding. Working with Ann to cater our backyard wedding was a pleasurable experience. She helped us make decisions through the many food options they provide. She responded quickly to any questions up to and including the Saturday of the wedding when we had some concerns. The staff provided for the wedding date were amazing. Emilio and his staff were very attentive to all the guests. Several people commented on how good the food was and how attentive the staff was. All the food was great but I thought the Short Rib was exceptional and I mentioned that to the chef. The Noteable Event staff did a great job with everything. They observed and removed dishes from the tables when people were finished. When I asked Emilio to remove the buffet from the dance floor they quickly removed and cleaned everything. The venue we had our wedding at exclusively use Notable Events for catering and we could not have been happier! Ann Zyer was very friendly and easy to work with. We decided we wanted to go with the chef stations because it was different than your usual plated or buffet option, and surprisingly affordable especially to add on more stations. We went to the food tasting unsure of exactly how many tables or which ones we wanted. The tasting was amazing! We did not have a single bad thing! We decided to go with the Salad bar, Tex Mex, Italian, Carving station, and Dessert table. The day of our wedding, there was so much food that I had people commenting that they wish they did a walk through first because they were full by their second plate and hadn't even tried everything! I got so many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! The staff was attentive and professional throughout dinner. We used Noteable Events this past weekend to cater a brunch and bubbly bridal shower for my daughter at The Haight in Elgin. From the beginning of our planning through the event Noteable Events exceeded all of my expectations. We worked with Ann Zyer for planning and she was amazing. They have fabulous food options and are willing to work with you to make sure you have everything your guests could possibly want. They even accommodated my request for very crispy bacon. The presentation of the food was beautifully done. I highly recommend the French toast option. They made the French toast on site and it was delicious. This was not your run of the mill French toast. They had so many varieties and even made French toast from cinnamon rolls! Our servers, Emilio and Martin, were beyond fantastic!! And one last note, Ann actually took the time to stop by at our event to meet us and make sure everything was running smoothly! Noteable Events rocked our wedding. We had the 3 entrée course buffet style. Beef tenderloin/merlot sauce, lemon salmon, Bruschetta chicken. We also had a pasta option which we tweaked and added the veggie stack as the vegetable option along with the cobb (make your own salad). We also picked 3 appetizers which all apps seemed to be tasty when we did the tasting. I can't tell you how many guests came up to us to tell us how amazing the food was and how great it was to have so many options. We experienced our first tasting right before COVID 19 happened. We had to reschedule our wedding which was moved to Dec 17 2021 from Dec 11 2020. Ann Zyer is a gem. She worked with us through everything. She is super attentive and excellent at making anything we wanted happen. There were not hiccups with the food and I would def recommend this to any couple. Noteable Events was our default caterer for our wedding at The Gardens of Woodstock. Not going to lie, we had some mild anxiety about giving up our CHOICE on caterers, but our fears were quickly dissolved as soon as we got in contact with Ann. We could not have chose a better caterer. There was a huge variety of options to fit any and all budgets. My husband is Polish and we were originally hoping to have traditional Polish food at our wedding, which Ann and her team were MORE than happy to accommodate. Overall Ann was very friendly and a delight to work with. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. Also, we had a handful of vegan guests, and my mom has a LONG list of food intolerances, which Ann and her team also accommodated to. Notable Events catered my son's wedding reception recently in June 2016. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. We worked with Ann Zyer from the beginning and were blown away by her responsiveness to our questions and Notable's willingness to tailor a menu to exactly what we wanted. We knew we were in good hands when we had our tasting and found an abundance of food, that was absolutely delicious. Ann even had the leftovers from the tasting packed up for us all to take home. On the day of the wedding, Ann and her staff arrived promptly and immediately went to work setting up the room. We ended up going with food stations for our guests; the food was hot and plentiful. The staff were all efficient and friendly, despite the 90 degree temperatures. Our guests commented on how the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. Last week my fiancé and I had our food tasting for our upcoming wedding this July. The food was absolutely delicious and Ann was amazing.  We couldn't get over how fresh everything was, the presentation of it all, the amount of food given as well as the variety. Chef Mike did an all around excellent job. We really appreciate all of the time and expense that went into this. Ann is top notch and went above and beyond to go over everything with us, gave us lots of options, was patient and very accommodating in scheduling the tasting. She was friendly, knowledgeable and a breath of fresh air to work with. She packed all the extra food up and we ate like a King and Queen the whole weekend. Notable Events is an incredible catering company. We have used them for multiple corporate events and are never disappointed. Ann will work with you and tell you that they can create anything you have in mind, and trust me, she means that! Their menu of food combinations and options is exhaustive, but if you want to use your own creativity and make special requests, they will really wow you. Her staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made sure that the catering areas were clean and filled. The food was also exceptional. Unfortunately (for me), we decided against the smashed potato bar for this event but after tasting everything else they had to offer, I think I'm going to have to hire Notable Events to bring a smashed potato bar to my house just for me, LOL! My mother-in-laws 90th Birthday Extravaganza could NOT have been better thanks to Noteable Events. We had no idea what we were going to do for her party because, like many 90 year olds, no catered food is ever as good as what they can make from scratch. It was only because she had attended another 90th birthday catered by Notable Events that I used them. I was SHOCKED when she called RAVING about a catered party. It was either dementia or she had stumbled on a truly great caterer. We hoped it was the later and booked them immediately. They delivered everything as promised and MORE. And despite my former career as a convention/wedding planner they still thought of things I hadn't and just made them happen. The food was incredible. Cake was out of this world. Notable Event Productions recently catered our wedding at The Gardens of Woodstock. Ann Zyer and her staff did an excellent job. The food....so let's just start by saying you get what you pay for. I've been to about 15 weddings myself, and the food is usually unremarkable and forgettable. On the contrary, the Expo Chef stations were incredible. We have been receiving NONSTOP compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The carving station was a hit, especially the NY Strip loin beef. People also loved the Cajun Turkey and Chicken Picatta. The smashed potato bar with martini glasses and 12+ toppings was outstanding. My daughter got married Oct 6th and we used Notable Event for our catering and we were extremely satisfied. Everyone was talking about how good everything was. They made us a beautiful appetizer platter that I had friends talking about a week later. Not only was the food delicious but their presentation is second to none that I've seen. We had a buffet and there was sooo much food. For dessert the bride and groom wanted pie instead of cake. It was served warm with ice cream surrounded with fresh chocolate covered strawberries and whip cream. Plenty of great servers so I didn't have to worry about a thing as far as feeding my guests!
