I came here today for the first time. I decided to go with the $10.99 plate. The gentleman in line next to me was very nice and he recommended the meatballs in a mushroom sauce. The meatballs were delicious, the sauce actually was very good and I don't even like mushrooms at all. The second item I got was the meat filled dumplings, and those were really good. They were actually a lot better than I thought they would be. The third item I tried was the smoked Polish sausage. I will be honest, this was not my favorite. It was not bad, but the flavor on it I did not like as much as other Polish places I've tried. I definitely want to go back and try their cabbage and noodles and pigs in a blanket. They also have desserts that I will have to try as well. They do sell sandwiches, Chicago style hotdogs, and have a small grocery store inside. read more

This was a cool place to check out. Yes, the shop is tiny so the aisles are made for one person to get through. However, this place is kind of tucked away so it wasn't busy at all in the afternoon. The outside of the building just says Deli. If you like Polish food, you'll love it here. I read some people exaggerating about the wait times. It does not take long for them to help you. Like Jewel or Mariano's, they're not going to slice your meat in 10 seconds if that's what you're hoping for. Btw the staff was nice. I think the Karen's that complain about them being rude are not very cultured and only know American culture. I ordered the signature pastrami sandwich for $10.99 and it was a very generous portion size. She put a ton of meat in it. The pastrami wasn't tough, it was fresh and soft. Honestly, I had Katz's in NY and this was a really great pastrami sandwich. I also got a large cannoli and meat pierogis. The cannoli was delicious. The pierogis were good but I like to have softer skin. The meat filling was fine but the outside was a bit too tough. I've been to a number of Polish restaurants and they usually make the skins very soft to cut. I would rate these pierogis like a 4. Overall, it's about a 4.5. Prices were very cheap. I got everything for $20. I will definitely return to try more items. read more

I am so grateful having a Polish deli practically in my backyard. Everything that I've had here has been delicious. They have hot entree options behind a glass case where you get to choose 3 options for $11.99. They also have generous portioned sandwiches starting from $6.99. They are very thick and full of meat. I've never actually tried the sandwiches since I always go for the prepared food but my brother in law raves about them! As far as the hot food, you can't go wrong with their potato dumplings, golobkis, meatballs and gravy, and pierogis to name a few. One year I've gotten Thanksgiving catered from here and it was a success! Service is pretty good and they are super helpful with any questions you have. It's my secret gem located behind the Buona Beef. They have a deli counter as well as other Polish staples and seasonings. The food is good but service is slow. Be prepared to wait! I stopped in to buy a sandwich but there were 4 people ahead of me and figured here it would take 30 minutes, so I left. They need a numbering system so you can sit in your car to wait or at the outside tables. A few chairs would be nice but there is no room. Aisles are very narrow making shopping difficult. I was looking for a authentic pastrami sandwich for my daughter and me, and by the reviews this was just what I was looking for without going to New York to cats's deli. The pastrami used was a boars head like you would see at the delicatessen at Jewel. The other thing that was really disappointing is the skimping of the meat. If it was close I would have been more satisfied. But if I have a better information I would try it. read more

It is exactly what I thought it would be. A small store crammed with hard to find Polish products. Now, the hot selections hardly ever change so that could get boring in a hurry. However, the meat pierogi were delicious. The chicken Kiev was lacking butter so it was on the dry side. I tried a paczki, disappointing as I had to hunt for the filling ~ it was in the last 3 bites. (Hint: go elsewhere for your paczki ~ they are not made here). I suggest you focus on the deli concept. I will return and try one of their sandwiches. Employees were very kind and explained since I do not read nor speak Polish. It is located on the southwest corner of Weber and Lily Cache right behind Buono Beef.
